I bought a light fixture from Antonline through the Walmart website. I am extremely disappointed with the entire experience of shopping from this merchant, and was astounded that Walmart aligns itself with such low-quality vendors! The light fixture is of a very poor quality. It has numerous defects, and frankly, looks like a previously-owned product that has been returned to the company and then "recycled" by being sold again, this time to me.
As clearly visible on the attached pictures, the finish of the body of the fixture is extremely uneven. All the dark spots that might appear as shadows are NOT shadows but indeed are dark spots and scratches! Lastly, as clearly visible on picture #3, the top half of the canopy looks dark as if it has a shadow on it. The problem is - IT IS NOT a shadow! This is the actual color of the canopy! Half - normal brass color, and half - dark. Obviously, I wont be able to use this thing. (Sorry, I can't call it a chandelier, because it is a joke.)
I highly regret this purchase! A complete waste of time and money! Shame on Walmart for working with vendors like antonline.com!
After discovering the defects I sent an email with pictures and description of the defects to antonline.com Customer Service, and asked how can I return the product. I received a very generic email stating that I could return the item. However, there was absolutely nothing in the email about whether I get reimbursed for shipping costs or not, and second, no guarantee that I would get a full refund and not get nailed with a 15% restocking fee. Additionally, the email said that "defective items are repaired or replaced and returned to customers if possible" so it sounded like the refund is NOT even an option at all. We are putting the house on the market and need a chandelier NOW so I don't have time to wait for a replacement. And even if time wasn't an issue, who is to say that the replacement would be of a better quality? I wish there was a Better Business Bureau for online retailers so I could report this fraud so they don't get to fool other people!
