Better off going elsewhere. Ordered (10) sets of blinds during one of their constant "sales discounts". All valances were wrong, one blind was undercut. They offer to remake for an additional fee, which means a total loss and the replacement product costs more than the original. They only offer a 20% discount instead of 45% when ordered. No place to stipulate valance return dimension, but it is still my problem according to them. I wish I had not purchased anything from American Blinds.com and will never make this mistake again.

This is my first order from AB and i must tell everyone my blinds are 10 million x's better than i ever dreamed. I got the basic room darkening roller blind but for a large 86 inch window. No topper. Plastic Chain thingee on right side which lowers and raises my new blinds like butter. I just wanted night time privacy & that ill have. Installation was a BREEZE. I did it all alone in 15 minutes. I couldnt be more happy. Communication from them was clear and easy. Ill be ordering again and again and then more!
Stay away! Great prices, but the worst service ever. I called with a question and ended up ordering on the phone out of convenience. The order was wrong. None of my phone calls or e-mails were returned as promised. They offered the 20% discount to remake my bad product... no thanks. I'm not giving them any more money or rewarding their bad behavior. I have frankly never encountered service this bad before.
We ordered two outdoor solar shades for our porch. One arrived perfectly and we set it up right away - so far we are very happy with it! The other arrived damaged in transit - the large metal pole was bent at about a 30 degree angle making it impossible to hang up. I called customer service and within minutes they had a replacement being sent out way.
This is feeling like a scam and we have not loved working with this company. We ordered some outdoor shaded on May 25th, and on the website, it says they will be delivered within 10-15 business days. Confirmation email says the delivery date would be June 13-16. And then the freight company says they won't get here until June 29. The customer service of American Blinds is not helpful at all. Apparently they have someone manufactured the product and basically just told us that the delivery date was an estimate. Well, is it ok if you don't deliver until 2024? I'm gonna have to file a fraudulent dispute on my credit card. They do not live up to their promise at all, and offer no resolution other than, "just keep waiting".
The blinds we received were cut an inch short. When we called, they refused to send new blinds and just stated that we should have read their measuring instructions online before ordering. There is nothing written online stating that you should deduct this amount when measuring for the blinds. They did however, offer to place another order and give us 20% off that order. We should not have to waste more money and take a chance of them being cut wrong again, with no guarantee of fitting, on top of the $250+ we already paid. Now we have room darkening blinds that are too short and there is more light filtering in than we had with our old blinds. Do not buy from this company. Many other better options out there.
I've ordered from American Blinds several times for my own home and also a rental unit. I've never had any problems. Their site is easy to use and the blinds always come as expected. SO much easier and cheaper than dealing with someone at a retail store!
I've been a repeat customer of American Blinds for several years now. Well made products, shipped promptly and backed up by excellent service. I had an issue with the way a discount was applied on a recent order, but after contacting the company it was promptly resolved.
This company claims to have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. This is not true! Beware! Their website contained inaccurate product specifications which led me astray. I purchased 3 vertical cellular blinds at over $600 a piece which were not satisfactory when they arrived. Their stacked width considerably obscures the views out of the windows and is much wider than the specifications stated. Customer service promised to call me back within 24 hours and then never called. Long story short, they basically waited out the 30 day guarantee timespan and then contacted me via email. They listened to one call I made while placing my order (there were multiple calls) and said I didn't ask about the stack width so oh well - enjoy the product. I have used and recommended this company for years and have been shocked at their lack of customer service and satisfaction. My other blinds are also losing their cords and parts and pulling unevenly. Look for another company!
This was my first time buying wallpaper and American Blinds was helpful during each stage: product questions, estimating rolls needed, purchasing, delivery, troubleshooting, understanding problem, offering solution, follow up.
I have been very pleased with each area of customer service and would highly recommend American Blinds to beginners and experienced.

Still have not received the correct blinds and no one at this company seems to care. Have had contact with 3 different customer service people and they were very nice on phone and said problem should be taken care of in 3 - 4 days. But no one has followed up on my problems with getting the correct blinds. Ordered blackout verticell blinds and received light filtering. I have sent photos 3 times and no response. I am very frustrated at this point. It's been 2 weeks since I first contacted customer service about this problem. Spent $900 for these blinds.and not sure of what my options are at this point. Based on my experience so far with this company would definitely "NOT RECOMMEND" American Blinds to anyone.
I have purchased blinds from here numerous time already and haven't had any issues ever... I have always done online, its fast and easy... then you just wait for them to show up at your door, then install, simple as that. I look forward to seeing more products and getting more ideas of what I want to do. Sincerely a satisfied customer :)

We have purchased blinds from this company for 4 homes in the past 15 years and they used to be great. This last purchase has been a disaster! The blinds have a new "break-a-way" coupling on the rigging that leaves no room for repair after it breaks. It will break too! We sent the blinds back and they lengthened the draw string leading to the breakaway, instead of lengthening the rigging as we suggested. Meanwhile, customer service bounced around to several people, none of which had a clue.
Like I said, they used to be good, but I'd stay away from them now!

We love the Up/Down blinds. We also use the "blackout" style in our bedrooms and they really do shut out all the light. I would not change anything!

Ordered two fabric blinds online for our newly finished family room.
Received the confirmation- but size was wrong. Called and reassured and email reconfirmed. Blinds arrived, wrong size. Manufacturer made a mistake and did not correct. American Blinds Customer Service Rep was so thoughtful and put a rush on so I could receive before Thanksgiving. Company arriving, you know. To my delight, they came in 2 days before Thanksgiving and were perfect. Unfortunate mistake, but a totally happy ending.
