This place is awful. I ordered a small runner and they shipped me a heavy 10X8 area rug dumped on my front patio. Now I have to wait till next week for Fedex to come back and I've got to repackage this montrosity and have no place to store it and trying to sell my condo. A huge inconvenience. I'm just going to find something locally.
We ordered a piece on sunday night and monday morning at 9am we asked to cancel the order after seeing the many bad reviews across this site and others like it; however, All Modern said the order was already being shipped but we could return it after the order was processed. The next day we called for the third time and spoke to an american woman who was rude and unapologetic. She spoke in a sarcastic condescending manner and was nothing short of a smart aleck. We will never do business with All Modern again, there is NO cancellation and you will be charged for returns.
I purchased a desk about two months ago and it was still "preparing for shipping". They took the money from my account without even sending the order. Talked to customer service twice with no help at all. They did refund me a day or so after cancelling the order. Don't bother ordering from here, you'll never get your package.
I moved and entered my new address for my item that I ordered. It appeared to be accepted until I hit enter to complete the transaction and my new address was deleted and the old address entered by the system! This was the same problem that I had some time ago - again, trying to complete an order. Terrible website. No ability to connect with a website professional at Allmodern to get the order cancelled.
My boyfriend bought a couch almost as cute as me for his house and this mofos couldnt make the shipment date. I'm pissed cause my plans to cuddle him on that couch were foiled but mainly because he was let down by it not showing up on time. They called and said there were damages to the couch during shipment so it would be there the following week. Once the delivery date came they called with an arrival time, shortly after arrival time came they called again and said the damages to the couch were too significant to deliver and he had to re-order an entirely new couch. WTFudge. Not cool. 0/10 would never reccomend. Ashton Kutcher please come out this is a bad prank please give my bf his couch. BYE
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. I bought a sofa that was "genuine leather" it was NOT genuine leather and there were no tags on the product regarding what it was made from. Serious customer service issues and rude to top it off. I will never order from them, wayfair, Birch & Lane or Joss & Main again.
I purchased a night stand and when the item was delivered there was a note on the bottom that the product can expose you to chemicals including lead and lead compounds which are known in the state of California to cause cancer or birth defects. This important information was not only included in the description of the item, but I was told that I have to pay out of pocket to return the item and that those chemicals are harmful only when consumed or if you live in California. Horrible customer service.
We ordered a light, got a notice that it was ordered. They cashed it through our bank account and never sent the item. We have emailed, and called several times. We even waited a full hour on the line. No one there to answer. The phone automatically switches to Wayfair (which must be the parent company) but still no answer. They said to check with the carrier... we did. FedEx told us that they got an order but never got a box to send. Isn't it illegal to take our money before the actual item is sent?

We ordered an entertainment tv stand and first of all it took a lifetime to come, and even when it arrived was missing parts. I got a message that my order was shipped and I was gonna get it the next day they sent the message and it took more than two weeks from that day. The item was cheap quality, not worth the money at all and putting it together was a piece of work. Their customer service is awful, impossible to get in touch with anyone. Called several times, waited for more than 1 hour and didn't get connected.
I would love to give them 0 stars!
I've had ok service with Wayfair, who owns AllModern, but I ordered a bed frame a month ago and it says it "Shipped" and never left their facility, and if i try to 'return/cancel' they are trying to charge me for return shipping. I've been on hold for over an hour now, and getting zero response. I'd advise to find your goods elsewhere.
I wasted hours on the phone with a sales rep (I had to call three times and was on hold for 30 minutes at least each time!) to order a series of items that I need shipped in a month when I move across the country. I explained the situation and the sale representative assured -- GUARANTEED! - me they would arrive AFTER and not before the date I asked her. The next day, I receive an email that the first item has shipped and will arrive a month before I'm even in the state! There is no way to contact the business via email, only this phone line that takes up hours of your day on hold. I am now on the phone again waiting for them to pick up for 15 minutes, they are wasting my time. The service HERE IS INCREDIBLY AWFUL AND UNPROFESSIONAL.
I placed my first order today after being bombarded for years with emails offering me free shipping, discounts. I just found out you can't even contact them by email. This is absurd and SO MUCH FOR FREE SHIPPING! I am pretty sure I'll never buy from ALLMODERN or any Wayfair companies associated with them. This is terrible customer service and I can't even contact anyone via email to inquire. AWFUL. I ordered the Berlin bookcase. I ordered the White glove delivery and assembly because it was heavy. The date it was scheduled to be delivered I was unavailable. The email said I could reschedule but when I went to my account it was not listed. After several phone calls I got it rescheduled. I took off work to await my delivery and assembly. One minute before it arrived I got a phone call saying it could not be assembled that day. The delivery men said it takes three hours to assemble and they had 25 other deliveries. Why reschedule it for a day when it could not be assembled? Why call the minute before delivery. They wanted to refund my assembly fee but how does that help me? They wanted to get a third party to assemble but I would not find out when that was until 2 days from then. And have to take another day off work? Incompetent.
I ordered a set of 2 Blake Side Chairs, didn't like the faux leather, and started the return policy. Their "free shipping" does not apply to returns. I learned that there was no free return and that the cost of return was more than 2/3 of the cost of the chairs. I will never order from AllModern/Wayfair again. Sylvia from Minneapolis.

I ordered the queen size, Newport Upholstered bed for the guest bedroom in our new construction home. During the checkout process, I reset our address since we have moved across the country. Apparently, it did not save. And since I have ordered from Wayfair and Joss & Main in the past, I guess they automatically deferred to my old address since they are all linked together. When I received a text alert notifying me that the item was out for delivery, I looked into the tracking and realized that it was going to be delivered to our old address across the country. I immediately contacted AllModern and shared my dilemma. While they did try to intercept the delivery via Fedex, that did not work. The bed was delivered a couple of hours later to my old address. However, AllModern was quick to send out another Newport Bed to my new address, told me not to worry about the one that had been erroneously delivered to the old address and they were quick to resolve the problem. I could not speak highly enough about the customer service that I received on 2 separate phone calls to AllModern re: this mix up. So overly impressed with the integrity of service. Makes me want to shop much more with them and I most certainly will.
I ordered some curtains, which were exactly what I was looking for. The website, and the emails sent to me by AllModern proudly advertised free shipping. Lo and behold, I was charged for shipping. When I contacted AllModern, they tried to tell me that this only applied to orders from Wayfair, but this is inconsistent with the email and website information I saw.
They didn't refund the shipping, so I tried to cancel my order. They told me it had already shipped, and if I wanted to return it for anything other than store credit, I have to pay the cost of return shipping.
This has been a terrible experience and I wouldn't recommend AllModern to anyone.
Worst experience of my life! Purchased in August not scheduled to arrive until October. I am a pregnant woman who now has to sit on the floor because of all of the incompetent people who couldn't handle my order and shipping
