It is INDEED A SCAM COMPANY.
They duplicated my 2 bookings into 4 bookings, deducted money twice and are now not even accepting the responsibility of it.
They are putting the onus of cancellation on hotel which is not fair.
If hotels refuse to cancel, they will simply STEAL my money.
They are scammers, If you are incorrectly charged from the hotel, they will blame you and charge you. Agoda and the hotels are abetting and complicit. Never trust them.
The payment system is a scammer and it does not need any confirmation or verification n to deducted your $ and worse they don't allow any refund
As a hotel owner, Agoda is the worst OTA on the market!
They charge higher commission than any other agent, but they undercut the other online agents and even pay up with their own money.
For example: When I sell my rooms for 800 THB/night on every online platform the same, Agoda will through in some "vouchers" and only charge 513 THB/night. This is 150 THB/night less then what we even get paid from Agoda, so they are literally paying from their own pocket in order to steel customers from Booking.com or Expedia. Dirty Game, Agoda!
When asked about it, they don't care and so we do not sell rooms on Agoda any longer.
I would NOT recommend Agoda to anyone as they play dirty and their platform is one big cheat.

I have been trying to get the difference in cost cost for a room I booked and they have found every made up reason to not honor their best price guarantee. Just a slimy, unethical company. I would never book with them again even if the prices are higher else where. It's just nit worth it. Furthermore they told me my booking has free breakfast but when we contacted the company they said it didn't. They SUCK!
No reservation booked then got a totally different room ( way less $$) called to let them know I was checking out early said they couldn't contact hotel 3× then I get a customer service rep who is yelling at me. WOW
Tried Agoda.com for the first time, booked hotel, received confirmed booking email, they placed a hold on my credit card for the amount; only to arrive to the hotel and told we didn't have a reservation and they have been fully booked for days before we made the booking. Contacted customer service - four calls and over an hour to be referred to another hotel that was also fully booked! Ruined our holiday!
I booked a room in Pattaya A-One Star hotel. When I booked, I read "Breakfast included", I have the screen capture. When I arrived hotel, they receptionist informed me that Agoda written to them that no breakfast. I have written to Customer Support many times, but they did not pay attention to my complain. I booked a single room with shower and large bed in Quentin Golden Bear hotel in Amsterdam via Agoda for three nights (price: 370 euro). The room that was given to me by hotel (Room 11) was not the one I paid. It was a terrible narrow room with share facilities (common shower), like a prison cell. Hotel said to me that Agoda sold to me a room that was not available. The room that I stayed was cheaper than the one I paid (296 euro). Agoda doesn't send me the difference (74 euro). Instead it suggested a compensation of 36 euro for my next booking at Agoda! After this experience I wonder why they think that I will use Agoda again in my next trip.
After navigating through the Agoda site I realized that the dates I had put in were constantly changing every time the page updated or changed. I booked three different hotel rooms for the same night but the first one was one day off because it had changed and I did not catch it. I was more careful with the subsequent bookings, however, when I reached out to Agoda to change the date by one day they told me the booking was non refundable. I said I was not looking for a refund but to change the date... to which customer service informed me that there are no amendments or changes. I have to wonder if the website changes the dates constantly just to have these non refundable bookings get fouled up? It was my first time using Agoda and I won't be using them again... all the reviews that suggest Agoda is not reputable and they have questionable customer service practices are TRUE. Buyers beware... USE WITH CAUTION!
I do not reccommend booking through AGODA, they stole my money and wont give me credit... this is unfair and unprofessional and now they wont give me credit... i should have my room at the very least rather than them cancelling my room and not giving me back my money
This site wasn't truthful and transparent enough to bill us the real charges despite us declaring the ages of our children. In their site, children are aged 17 and below. We were horrified to know upon check in that the resorts policy on children are age 13 and below. We could no longer back out as the time to cancel has already lapsed and we have to pay extra to cover it. NOT RECOMMENDING THIS SITE!-Cesar
Forced to pay for the same vacation twice. They keep promising a refund but don't deliver. If I could locate them I would personally deliver $#*! whoopings until someone could stop me. Make female idc you rob me your all deserving of it every single one of you.
I booked a room on a road trip since we needed somewhere to stay half way. About 2 hours from the hotel we booked, we had car trouble. We called the hotel and they said since the booking was done through Agoda to call them for refund. I contacted Agoda today and they say the hotel won't wave the fees, even though they said they weren't at full capacity and it wouldn't be a problem. Seems like a game of finger pointing and no one owning up to their part of a "reputable" company. I will never use them again.
A few moments ago, I completely fouled up my reservation on a non-refundable room. Agoda Customer Service phoned the hotel and personally corrected my mistake. This was not the first time. They have also arranged for refunds three months after I did not show up for a reservation. While YMMV. Mine has been nothing short of first class.
We recently booked online thinking that we were booking with the hotel directly. Online, we see there is a pool. Rooms looked spacious and nice. We were suppose to have a Queen size bed. Well, we checked in. There was an issue. They said we had been booked for something else. There was no pool so my daughter was disappointed. Get to the room and it was teeny tiny. Had an claustrophobic attack. They should be very forthcoming. When rooms are this small, they should note it down. I was extremely disappointed with agoda. Not impressed.

The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
