I had to get a refund from my hotel stay since the hotel had construction going on Sunday morning at 730 AM next door.
Agoda decided to jack up the 1st night's booking price out of nowhere and proceeded to refund a very dismal remaining amount. That's called Business Fraud and as a customer I can't do anything about it. Apparently Agoda can alter the price that you agreed to book at to have a advantage on refund amounts. You have been warned.
Booked a hotel and was told breakfast was included. This shows on paperwork however hotel are staying agora are liars and it is not included. Impossible to contact agora due to being abroad and they have NO EMAIL. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM.
I used Agoda to book a motel room for 2 nights. It ended up costing me an extra $34.35 per nite over what the motel actually charged me. I found this out when I checked out of the motel and asked for a print out of the charges that the motel charged to my credit card. If this isn't blatant hi-way robbery I don't know what is. My brother Reach the hotel and can't check in bcs the reception said not yet get the payment ccv from agoda. Then I call agoda to resolve the problem for my brother for 45 minutes above still not yet resolved the problem only give me hold on the line

DO NOT BOOK WITH AGODA. My mom and I booked a hotel two days before check in and when we arrived at the hotel, we got an email saying the hotel was full. Seriously? The email then proceeded to say they booked another hotel so we went to that hotel, and as you would've guessed, they had not booked it. We tried contacting them through email the whoooole night (there's no official phone number and Agoda France declined our call) but they never got back to us and in the end they said they could cancel with no refund. So we just got our money taken and had to pay for the second hotel ourselves. Unbelievable 0/10 experience
Never use bookings.com or Agoda for hotel reservations- they will rip you off!
They don't have proper communications - hotels booking get charged asap- but when you call hotel tells us there is no booking this after 4 hrs. Making the booking - there is no res- line to talk to on agoda - DONT take my word try booking in - first few steps are very quick and easy - they will send hotel confirmation in sec. But there is NO such reservations existing at the actual hotel! There is wait of 10 mins any given time to talk to customer service AGODA- then they will make even harder to enquire by asking for the booking res- number many times - and they the last 4 didgits of your credit card- after wait for come on line the customer service person - ask for all thise questions again -and they are from phillipino call centres very hard from them to understand their saying what we saying as well. I am still on line for mins now finally i got a person looking into my booking - yet they cant find my booking! This is very stressfull process- dont mind me just wait till happen to you
Forget about Agoda promise "Best Price Guarantee" as it's just a promise on the paper… I have reserved a hotel room through Agoda and then show them that I could book the same room for the same dates at a lower rate that was viewable and bookable on Booking.com website. I had sent request to them and the only answer from them I received there was Non-matching booking details (Room/Bed Type/Different or Stricter Cancellation Policy/ Occupancy/Benefits/ Conditions) have not match. No explanation which of the listed apply to my case. I am very familiar with the hotel rooms and policies at the hotel were we planned to stay as as we are providing services for them and the listed room with policies on Booking.com and AGODA.com where the same. AGODA Customer support team doesn't reply on my requests to give me exact reason why my request for the Best Price Guarantee was refused. In a few words forget about Best Price Guarantee with AGODA.
Used TripAdvisor to find the cheapest hotels for a stay in Lanzarote and Agoda were he cheapest for 3 hotels. But when I clicked on the cheapest hotel and was redirected to Agoda, I had "Just missed it". I tried this with the next 2 hotels and both times I had "Just missed it"! 3 hotels in 90 seconds all "Just missed it".

I booked four nights at the Oceana Boutique Hotel through Agoda and the charge went through for this on the 9th. When I arrived at the Oceana Boutique on 7/8 not only was there NO RECORD of my stay, my info, but the dates I have paid for and booked through Agoda were not even available.
Oceana Boutique did not honor my Agoda Booking and charged me anew since they had no record of me from Agoda of booking or paying. I had to pay Oceana Boutique directly for the two nights they DID have available of the FOUR I had booked through Agoda. The Oceana charged me full rate, so not only did Agoda charge me for a service THAT I NEVER RECIEVED but Agoda also promised me a discounted rate and four nights booked which was also a complete fabrication. Please do not trust them. I am out $345 for a service they never provided.
My son is traveling internationally and with Covid protocol things have never been more difficult and frustrating. He and about 25 others had issues with paperwork delays causing me to miss my flight to London. This was very difficult and heartbreaking as he had prepaid for a hotel and tickets to events and he wasn't able to enjoy. He plead with Agoda and Hotel about what happened and the costs associated with the airport and other mishaps. He lost over $1,500 including hotel, airfare, event tickets and other costs that he associated with this situation. He's now trying to pull together money to try to get back to the US with extreme disappointment. He contributed over $1,500 to London's economy without ever setting foot and Agoda refused to provide a refund not accepting my impossible situation. He understands policies, but policy can be reconsidered when it comes to situations out of your control. He will provide his review to as many people as possible as he believe Agoda should refund his money due to the circumstances. My communication through Agoda's messaging link and phone calls also went unanswered when he was trying to communicate the situation. He also called the hotel directly to advise with no answer.
Booked a 1 night AQ hotel stay in Bangkok for my wife, paid full. Agoda sent another email said the hotel wants another $137 for transportation and covid test. Suspicious, I contacted the hotel and the booking was never sent to them.
I booked a hotel on agoda.com that was a gift for a newlywed couple. The voucher said "payment may be collected by the property …".
Agoda had already collected my credit card information. Making sure that the couple is not responsible for the payment, I called Agoda.com customer Service asking explicitly as who will be charged for the payment.
The customer service lady took time to find out the details and then told me that my credit card information will soon be provided to the hotel And that my credit card will be charged.
I asked again if she can make sure that it is my credit card that is charged and not my guest. She confirmed that my guess will not be charged and I need not to worry about it.
I sent the voucher to my guest couple and told them the payment will be taken care of and they do not need to worry about it.
The day my guest couple were checking out the hotel, hotel asked for the payment. It was a pretty awkward moment for them. They had to make a arrangements for the cash payment or they would've missed out their flight. They were not prepared for that much of a payment. It was an embarrassing moment for me when I found this out.
I have written at least a dozen emails to Agoda Customer Service and also called them questioning their payment policy. Agoda.com customer service has not realized their mistake and keeps telling me that it was a direct payment to hotel booking.

Ive used agoda before and was not happy with the room I was given. At the time I overlooked it thinking the hotel let me down.
I recently made anothef booking and when I contacted the hotel the room allocated was a grade below what was purchased on the agoda site. The room category I paid a premium for didnt exist at the hotel.
I tried to contact agoda and have had no response.
Please check before using this site. If not you will be disappointed. They create options sell them as discounted when in reality it doesnt exisit and you get better rates dorecrly from hotels.
Please I never booked with this company. They double took a payment for the hotel room which took a week to get back and then they booked us into a room for four people. The hotel only could rooms that took three people in each room, they wanted us to then pay for a second room and we arrived late at night tired. It was stressful.
Getting in touch with Agoda customer service is near on impossible and they take a day to respond to each email. Please don't waste your time booking with Agoda.

Prices that are very appealing but fake because the hotels either don't have availability or Agoda's booking is not recognized by the Hotel. But it's too late because Agoda has your creditcard and it will be charged regardless. Trying to contact customer will only lead to frustration. I was directed by the automated menu to contact the hotel. The hotel told me there was no reservation and to contact Agoda because they are responsible for processing the payment.
I ended up paying for a reservation I never received. Tried a charge back from my creditcard provider. But it was declined because Agoda claims I was a no show and that the booking was non refundable.
I did the booking through agoda and by mistakely I paid 20k rupees, and while booking there was an option of refundable but it has been 5 days almost I am following up with Agoda but there is no revert frm their side, of you really want to save your money please do not book from this portal it's very difficult to contact with them if you guys really have shame pls contact now atleast

I am very disappointed with Agoda. My name if Ferry Hendaya (booking no: *******). I just booked a hotel today with my mobile application. Before confirmation, the total amount is Rp. 13.100.000. After I click "Payment" button, there is an error: "promo null" and my credit card is charged Rp. 14.500.000. I complained to the customer care and they said that there is no prove that I added a promo coupon before I make payment. They didn't even bothered to check with their IT department about this error. If I didn't apply the promo codes, I wouldn't know my total amount, which should be Rp. 13.100.000.
IF THE PROMO CODES CAN'T BE APPLIED, THE APPLICATION SHOULD JUST BLOCK IT AND THEY SHOULD'T CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD WITH EXTRA AMOUNT...

I had to face a very bitter experience from agoda. After receiving the confirmation from your end, I'd reached out to the concerned hotel in Chennai with my colleague. Because of very unfortunate, the hotel wasn't functioning and we had to search for another hotel in that location, that too around 4'o clock in the morning.

The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
