SCAM

STAY FAR AWAY FROM AGODA. THEY TOLD ME MY BOOKING WAS $480 FOR A 4 NIGHT STAY, EMAIL CONFIRMATION SAID $890. I SENT PROOF OF SCREENSHOT I TOOK WITH CHAT AGENT AND EMAILED TO THEM AND THEY ACT LIKE THEY DIDN'T GET IT. I CANCELLED IMMEDIATELY AND THEY ALSO DID NOT USE THE COUPON CODE I PUT IN THAT I WAS EMAILED. THEY JUST SEND YOU COUPON CODES TO LURE YOU IN. IF THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT I WANT IN!

Dishonest website

I booked three nights through Agoda.com that advertised as breakfast included, but as soon as I booked it, the benefit of breakfast included was gone. Beware of the deception this website is conducting.

Do not use this company

I recently got covid and we had to postpone our trip. We tried to change the hotel dates (not get money back) and they refused. We were able to change flights and even tickets at no cost to us (just changed dates) but this place would not allow us to change hotel dates (hotel was fine with us changing dates btw). We even spoke to supervisors who would not allow it. We tried to do the right thing by postponing and not traveling with covid and it cost is over $800. They pocketed the money and refused to let us change dates (per their policy). That's a lot of hard earned money to keep in exchange for nothing, when we are already knocked down with covid. Happy Anniversary to us! Do not use this company!

Agoda is OK if no problems occur. They will if they can steal your money. In addition they engage in false marketing to steal and execute credit card fraud. They are not to be trusted

This happened to me 3 times so far. I book at a price on agoda and the hotel people reject the booking unless I pay regular pricing. It seems to be a regular scam by Agoda and hotels together. Agoda customer support will ask me to wait to talk to the hotel who will refuse. Agoda will ask you to choose an alternative hotel and by that time, 1 -2 hrs is lost. Its simply horrible. I ended up paying as its too late to look for alternative accomodation. Dont use Agoda or OYO ever unless you are ready to face a lot of delay

This company is horrible

This company is horrible.
Earlier this evening i received a call from the Luther Burbank Center in Santa Rosa cancelling a Sarah McLachlan concert for tomorrow night due to a covid outbreak.
We booked our hotel through Agoda.
I first called the hotel to not get a refund but they told me I needed to go through Agoda. After 4 calls to Agoda I was told they would get back to me after they contacted the hotel.

Here's the crummy email i got moments ago which is both a lie AND unfortunate.

This was a legit cancellation and something unavoidable due to Covid.

A joke
June 13, 2022

I made a reservation and at the end of the booking, unfortunately I had a medical emergency. I called to tell them I won't be able to make it. Both Agoda and the hotel agree and inform me that they would do a refund. To my surprise my credit card was still charged in full. I called repeatedly and I'm not getting anywhere. I don't know how far this will lead. However, I need my refund. They need to be checked out throughly because this must be a joke.

I booked two nights and hotel charged my credit card with another unknown hotel name. Later Agoda cancelled my booking and said their was a technical issue. Then upon complaining, said due to non refundable policy Agoda can't help and my money has been lost and they can't do anything now.

Provided lots of proofs of payment but they didn't believe. Hotel said they can't help because it has been cancelled already.

I really don't trust Agoda and would never recommend anyone to go with them.

While pricing is competitive, the ability to contact them during a dispute or emergency is more important. Tell me the contact phone number? Go ahead, I'll wait...

Good luck if you have a question or emergency. If your booking number is used, the site will not recognize it and thus, you have no contact options. Horrible.

Agoda offered the best price when we reserved vs other sites.
When the billing was processed, the price was actually quite higher than the competition.
They are dishonest and have the worst customer service.
Never again

Recently booked a room and paid, but the hotel staff said that we paid less and they would not allow to check in and there was no way to contact agoda... money gone

Never Trust Agoda. They don't have a genuine customer care contact number

They cancelled our booking at 12:00 am.We had our booking of 8 th June and were travelling with 2 kids. They didn't even inform and we faced we faced lot of trouble. Will like to give minus stars if possible

When booking through Agodan website doesn't show all the resorts fees as Hotels.com shows. Be aware. Very unfortnute. It ended up being same price as Hotels.com with difference I did not collect my nights as I usually do. Very misinformative and disappointing.

Stole my money

Me and my 9 month old son were traveling home. My son got sick and he had a temperature so I had to stop I had no choice. So I went on Agoda booked a hotel at the super 8 after paid for I then went to the super 8 to check in. Only then was I told I needed a $250 deposit. Now I didn't even have the money really I used to get the motel so I did not have the deposit. And just to throw this in when I booked the hotel it did not say anything about also needing $250 more when I checked in. I begged the manager to reconsider because of my 9 month old son and still he refused so I called Agoda and begged and pleaded for a refund or to put the credit towards a different motel. You tell me that they were nothing in it it was between me and the hotel. I told them that I paid them I didn't pay the hotel I paid them still refusing to give me a refund or credit. They wouldn't even let me talk to a manager they refused. Now me and my 9 month old slept on the streets last night with my son having a temperature of 100. These people straight up stole My money. There is no other way to put it. People if you are reading this please I'm begging you don't use this company there they are crooks and and con artists. If they are willing to put a 9 month old baby on the street that is sick even after they was paid and still rip them off it's horrible I'm making phone calls today to see what can be done about this. To put my nine month old son on the streets cannot be tolerated. They straight up stole My money

Fake company

Today I got cheated by Agoda. My booking ID is *******. Membership ID is *******.
I had a reservation with Jungle Paradise Farm an Guest House in Masinagudi, Ooty.
The contact information provided by Agoda is fake. After a lot of struggle when I received the actual contact information of the property owner. The person said that he's not registered/have any tie ups with Agoda...
I'm really surprised and shocked. Fir the last 3 and half hours I'm trying to get the customer service number but the number is wrong & they don't have an actual platform to connect with them. Agoda have cheated an amount of INR 12,713.19 spent on IndusInd Card XX3011 on 04-06-2022 08:01:24 am at AGODACOMPANYPTELTD.
I request to refund the same amount.

Won't give me my money back and I never stayed at the hotel. It was DANGEROUS and DIRTY with actual bugs, hairs, and poop! Will not defend me bc it was non refundable.

Ruined my PTO off of work. Had to go back home. Was supposed to be a Mother's Day gift. So embarrassing and unsafe. They do not care at all. So unethical.

Worst experience ever

L booked an hotel with Agoda and they send me email that says it didn't confirm and they will gerund money so I biked with another provider same hotel but Agoda didn't refund my money so I asked them they said they didn't cancel it and I asked them if they could cancel because I booked two times they said no we can't. So I canceled it my other book but after that they sent me another email and said we canceled it. So I called them and I was told we are sorry there is misunderstanding they canceled. Now I don't have any reservation to that hotel and price are increased to double please pay more money and don't book with them. Worst experience ever.

CAUTION FROM THE FRAUD!
I booked a hotel room here for my son and me through agoda.com and it was clearly written there that a child below the age of 18 years stays free here. On arrival, the receptionist asked for 2000 TRY extra(after the booking payment was done) for my son's stay even though my son is below 18. Then, I showed Mr. Imraan(hotel manager) agoda's website and he agreed to issued the room key card. After checking into the room, they called through the telephone and said that if we do not pay the extra amount, they will cancel the booking. I, again, talked to Mr. Imraan about it but he said his boss will not agree to waive off the EXTRA price.
Miscommunication between agoda and Ramada but we had to pay the price. Very unprofessional service!

Scammed by the hotel

SCAMMERS! BEWARE!

Please do your research when dealing with the Jameson Inn hotel in Brunswick GA and booking through third party agencies especially Agoda!

I booked a room with Agoda for a one night stay at that hotel. Have emails with confirmation and authorization of payment from my Wyndham credit card. The owner of the hotel, Raj Patel checked me into the room sometime after 2PM.

Around 6 PM I get woken up by loud banging and screaming at my door. Some lady was yelling I needed to leave now because I didn't pay. I initially thought it was some stranger trying to lure me out of the hotel room. She threatened to call the cops because I told her I wasn't leaving the room until I checked with the credit card company. After confirming they received authorization for payment, I went to the front desk and immediately the general manager Roxie Sorrells demands that I need to leave the property. She refused to rectify the situation or show proof of her false claims about my card getting declined. She called 911 and made another false claim that I was threatening her. Three cops showed up to kick me out of the room that I had already paid for and treated me like some criminal. The cop even heard that the payment had gone through with the credit card company and made a comment "she jumped the gun about payment." He also mentioned he's had to deal with Roxie before. After doing further research, Roxie Sorrells has a shady past herself. She's been hopping from hotel to hotel as a general manager and has been evicted from places for not paying her rent. She's been with this hotel a year and definitely doing some shady business. I will be taking legal action because of this fraudulent scheme they did to me.

Please don't bring your families here! It's not safe or book with Agoda.

I have booked an hotel with Agoda for 3 days 2 nights. Agoda charged my CC and provided confirmation. On the day of stay when I reached the hotel with family they have no information about my stay. On top of it when I called Agoda customer service which is somewhere in phillipines they have no idea how to help the issue except putting my call on hold for 30 mins and then apologize.

I landed booking with other hotel with much higher rate.

I suggest not to use this site.
