I have been trying to get a refund from them for over a month. Customer service is horrible. If anyone wants to speak to someone call eight six six - six five six-eight two zero seven. Maybe you will have better luck. After calling them on the day of My reservation that the hotel was basically abandoned and no one was there for me to check in they charged me 3 days later and blamed the hotel for the charge. I spoke to the hotel and they also said they can't charge since my credit card info was received by agoda. Varies emaisl back and forth and a dispute to the bank they still lie and say they are working on it. Please don't go thru them
They offered and sold Universal Studios tickets even though it was closed and so we unnecessarily paid 400 dollars extra.
Worst site don't you to get into this scam I lost my 5000 rs and even didnt find the address and hotel person said we don't take such online booking as well even address is different and name mentioned in their app is different
I booked with Agoda on June 2,2022 after seeing an offer for a stay at Mont Airy lodge for approx $369.00 for a two night stay. After I put my credit card information in to their system to book the room I received a confirmation at the rate of $666.79. That was not the rate I agree to, so I cancelled my booking within minutes after booking it. Agoda now refuses to give me a refund and I am stuck with a large bill for a trip I never took. Do Not Let 'This Happen To You. Stay away from this company. They will Steal your money.
I've been traveling around Asia booking hotels trough Agoda for a month, on my last booking I was overcharged more than 45% on the original price that was showing on the website.
I contacted Agoda, in total it was 3 emails, always answered from a different person.
At the end they didn't pay back the overcharged money and stopped answering my email.
Unfortunately the was the very last time I'll use the service and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
If I could leave zero stars, I would. Do NOT use this service. There is no flexibility whatsoever. I'm a nurse and I've managed to avoid contracting COVID for the entire pandemic until now, and I've worked in direct care with COVID patients. I called 3 days in advance of my 1 night stay in AC simply wanting to change the booking to an alternate date, not cancel. They said there was no guarantee I would get the date but they would submit a form. However, if it was denied I would be forced to pay the entire $220 because it would be beyond the last cancellation date. I could have just been irresponsible and gone on the trip positive for COVID, but I'm a nurse and would never do that. I'm sure this puts many people in a position to expose other people if it means they won't lose their money. By NOW you would think they would have some sort of a protocol for COVID. They couldn't guarantee that I would get a new date so I cancelled and ended up having to pay $68 for nothing. This is ridiculous for the company because I still wanted to go on a different date, and now both the company and the customer lose money. Just absolutely horrendous service. Don't book through them.
Booked cheap hotel. Got wrong date. They refuse to change date. I call the hotel, they say they do it all the time...
My booking id is *******, have extended my stay in hotel for one day and payed through the help customer care agent. But Oyo not received the voucher of payment so they not update the App, so OYO hotel red rose not received any update for extension. I have payed again in the reception. I contact customer care agoda, they given OYO customer care number. But these people telling ask them to send the payment voucher, agoda telling to contact them... But payed twice for one day is the final thing happened.
Hotel is so clean. The seaview so beautiful. We can see the sunrise and sunset so clear. The staff also nice and fast reply..
They overbooked a hotel & kept taking reservations even after being informed that there were no more rooms available. They then offered me an agoda credit, which I refused so they came back & said that because I didn't cancel the reservation on their site I would not receive a refund. I was stuck on a Saturday night in a busy tourist area & all of the hotels in the area were booked. It took me a few hours to find a place & then I had to pay for a Lyft to take me there. The hotel clerk gave me her personal cell # & we're texting back & forth as she's trying to help me get a refund. At the same time Agoda is lying & saying that she has not replied to their emails. Awful site, do not use under any circumstances. Horrible service & they won't accept any responsibility or be accountable for their unfair business practices.
Did not honor their price match and denied me breakfast... That was cheap on their part. I spend over an hour on the chat and sent them the document they asked for, but to no avail... I have been their customer for 3 years and they denied me a cheap breakfast that was supposed to be included in the price. Who does that?
They took the pmt with confirmation of the room. Im on the way to the hotel w/ taxi from airport.
Called the hotel who informed no room was reserved in fact. Needed another taxi to get to another hotel with instant higher expense plus the taxi fare.
I fell sick and provided medical certs but they didnt help and kept the full amount. They took all my savings and i left with nothing and no trip.
Be careful, don't use their services. I booked a hotel room through their website, and everything went well. They took the money out of my credit card. Within few minutes I received an email from Agoda saying that my reservation was cancelled due to "an unexpected system error". I replied to the email requesting refund of my money. I received a very polite response that my money will be returned within 30 working days. And of course, day after day, week after week, I kept checking and nothing was received. I wrote another email, same response, after the relapse of 30 days they told me they request confirmation from their bank and when they receive a response they will let me know and it will take 5 business days. And then I knew I just lost my money and they are not going to return the money. They use these tactics and tricks to gain time so you can forget about your money so they scam the client... please be aware and don't use their services...
Booked a flight through Agoda. My flight was cancelled the night before my flight and they were unable to obtain a refund flight or reschedule a flight with another company for me within my given time frame. I was on the phone for hours that night to not get an answer. I had to re book flights through another company
They then cancelled my flight home and we're unable to understand my reason as to why I needed to fly home at a certain time and were unable to obtain me a flight back home. Then again. Hours upon hours wasted on my trip away dealing with this rubbish customer service
10 weeks later. I've heard nothing and haven't been refunded
I've used Agoda for about five years now, and I will never use them again. They drop reservations- not a good trait for a booking agency. This was my most recent experience:
I had multiple rooms booked at a hotel for independence day weekend. Since I had multiple resos, Agoda decided to mark all of them as fraudulent. Then demanded a photo of the card used for the reservations. The card had been lost and replaced in that time. I tried to change the card info to my current card, but they said without the booking card(which was no longer even valid), they would not keep my resos. A week before independence day weekend, and these people have the nerve to tell me that I'm free to rebook with my current card.
I contacted my bank, who recommended a three way call to confirm the card used. Forget about it- there is no phone number for the fraud dept at Agoda, and customer service (based in south Asia) will not connect you to them. I drove to my bank and scheduled a meeting with the branch manager to draft me a letter that says the card used for the booking indeed belongs to me. No such luck. After three days of trying to work with my bank and Agoda to resolve the situation, they've finally dropped my and my friends' rooms. That's ten people who are now out their rooms for a holiday weekend in a small town.
This is now the third time this company has dropped my reservations for one reason or another. This is all after I verified my email address and other private information. How many dropped reservations and ruined vacations can you tolerate before you give up on a company? For me, it was three.
Agoda.com was a fantastic booking engine with fabulous customer service. All of that changed when Booking.com bought them and now customer service is non-existent. Such a shame when a great product is ruined by an acquirer.
Beware of this company, first time I used their services to book a hotel room and after I confirmed and paid with my credit card, on check in day they emailed the hotel to advise them about my transaction, which they stated was made with a fraudulent credit card, the hotel then went ahead and cancelled my reservation, but Agoda still charged my credit card for the room. When I contacted their customer service I was told I needed to submit documentation of charges to receive a refund, I did and I'm still waiting. The headache of dealing with these unprofessional people is not worth the few bucks you could save.
This place is a scam. They will book you a cheap junky room that isn't what you book! Beware! I booked for a studio bay view beach resort room and ended up in a motel parking lot view room.
They quite literally stole my money. I reserved with them, they took my money, then cancelled my reservation, didn't refund me.

The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
