You're looking on Adult Friend Finder's website and -- all of the sudden -- you run across a profile of someone with their mouth wide open, filled with semen or someone trying to flip you off and be "cute" about it (or otherwise act like the stupid, disgusting, nasty-a$$ed piece of they are). So you decide to "block" them but -- lo and behold! -- you block the offensive profile and do another search and, guess what? That's right, the SAME DAMNED PROFILE YOU BLOCKED IS STILL COMING UP IN YOUR SEARCH RESULTS! It's as if AFF says "You don't like this profile? Do something about it?" This is not only sloppiness on their part, but dangerous: what if somebody was stalking you, or had made threatening remarks to you and yet -- unlike professionally run dating sites like Match.com, O. K. Cupid, or Zoosk -- after you blocked them, they STILL appear in your search results? That could lead to someone being harmed, couldn't it? But AFF doesn't care. And, on top of that, half of the AFF member profiles are FAKE (and who knows what could be lurking behind them). I'm being really "generous" by giving them one star (because, frankly, they don't deserve that.

These people are $#*!ing morons. Actually that is a compliment. They have no issue collecting your money. They set you up on auto-renew and then make it near impossible to turn off the feature so you pay them into perpetuity.

Add to this that they hate customer service. They give a little fill in form to send problems to which they must delete because they never response. In fact, they have you hit confirm three times because the complaint is sent, hoping that you dont scroll all the way to the bottom to see the confirm button. If you bust your $#*! (you wont find a contact number on their web site) but you will at their parent company site friendfinder.com. When you call them, its routed to the Philippines where some guy reads off a script and asks all the things they shouldnt ask over the phone such as your password, contact number, email, ID, etc.

The basic problem with AdultFriendFinder is the lack of verification and control over the members, along with a limited number of verified and confirmed members. Every single day you will see dozens of new non-confirmed non-verified members appear. Most disappear within 24 hours as well after they pop-in, troll for some victims, try to get people off the site into other mails / conversations, and disappear before the systems cancel them. If you limit your searches to just verified just confirmed persons, you will notice there are NOT a lot of people within 100 miles of you unless in a big city. Now AFF may argue that just means there are people on the site for free. But they limit the ability to communicate and interact with free members. So you are left with having to hope they are not scammers as you will have to take any coversation outside the system. That's because the scammers will use the same "Just a standard members so I can't do X excuse, contact me and y". And then the Y will be spread out so the system can't detect the email or kik user name which they will automatically blank out if seen. And this is the basic flaw with the system. They COULD set a much lower price standard+ membership that would allow some basic communications beyond free to get people into the site. But instead for them it's all ($40 per month) or nothing.

Another flaw with the system is, lets be honest, what people are looking for. The number of people looking for very nice body attributes on both sides is basically fantasy world considering their own attributes at times (like a big sized woman stating she will only respond to younger, fit, hung men everyone should leave, or a gentleman stating he wants a woman with 44+ size). Once you limit searches to verified or confirmed and eliminate fantasy / dreamers, you are often left with almost no choices. And for $40 per month that is pathetic.

Aff is the worst scamming, rip off, fake site out there. Beware – Stay away!
Popular scamming methods:
- within minutes of registering with AFF you get FAKE messages in your inbox from people supposedly looking to hook up with you; when you reply – you get response that they did not send any message
- you get "flirts" but nobody viewed you?
- you get flirts from members with no paid subscription (NOT possible)
- customer service is horrible, lying scamming enterprise
- you get special promotion & discount 20% off to upgrade, but "special" price for 30 days is greater then regular price for 30 days
- they send you email messages that someone wants to "meet you" but nobody even have seen your profile
- most of the time you see exactly the same profiles presented to you when log in, it is like these profiles are online for days and weeks
- …

Other con's:
- FAKE, fake, fake site full of scammers, rip off artists and fake profiles
- There is absolutely NOTHING you can do there, without having to pay first; can not really see anyone, can not send or read messages, flirts,…nothing for free

It is too bad that there are no mark zero stars, so 1 star will have to do it, but even that is too much.

Joined AFF to see what this online internet dating process was all about. My intention was to eventually become a Gold Member, on a limited basis. Say for one month, just to see how it stacked up to the free membership. I even confirmed my identity to AFF. The vast majority of members, whether having a standard free account, or the Gold paid account, do not reveal who they are.

This entire process morphed into an intriguing life diversion for 29 days running. I had some fun and got to see how other AFF members interacted with folks like me, when it came to the topics of love, romance and sex. I gave myself 30 days to evaluate everything, from the website functionality, to the actual female posters themselves and everything in between. Had to see if this was a safe and secure website for serious minded people. Within the first week, as I began surfing around the website, it became obvious. AFF was mainly all about hookups for sex, but very little to do with love or romance. Okay, fine, AFF is not for everyone. If you're into sexual relations with multiple partners of both sexes, AFF is definitely for you. If you just want to meet someone, or maybe have a date and wind up in the sack together, AFF might be the place for you. Just understand. AFF is funded and supported primarily by Gold Members. A majority who consider sex, as a way of life, instead of, part of life. Frankly, there is no definitive way to conclude anything. Its a total crap shoot!

The key factor of Gold Membership is the ability to send unlimited messages to posters who you took a fancy to and would like to chat with. Along with the ability to view all member profile pages and photos, with unlimited hotlisting, flirts and friend designation of members. Since I could only send messages and not receive messages, I was at a big disadvantage, but one that I was willing to put up with until my evaluation period ended.

Then out of the blue, AFF dropped the bomb. With one day left in my 30 day evaluation period, AFF decided it was time for me to pay for a Gold Membership, or hit the road. Believe it, or not. LOL As a free member, if you can't view the women who viewed your profile, and if you can't be able to view the profiles you found and liked while surfing around. There is no good reason to stay a free member. Forcing people into paying for a Gold Membership this way, is unethical, if not illegal. According to a tech support rep I spoke with, concerning AFF freezing my account. Seems AFF is in the process of new membership drive that had an adverse effect on the free memberships. The tech support rep said, AFF wanted a push free members to sign up for Gold Membership, and in the process, weed-out the bogus accounts. Sounds like a terrible idea and a fraudulent method to boot. In the end, maybe this is the best thing that could have happened. AFF is thankfully, off my radar.

I've used AFF off and on for over ten years with some success. For men it is a big money pit, but there were ways to work around that. Until now. Logging in and doing things like adding photos gave you points you could spend on sending a message to a member. That doesn't work now. Unless you are a $30 a month Gold member, you can't read replies to your messages. Now you also can't spend points on a month's worth of Gold membership without sending copies of documents to verify your identification. After the Ashley Madison privacy breach, nobody should send copies of personal information to these kinds of adult websites. I can't believe AFF has the gall to force such a policy after the Ashley Madison breach.

Besides all that, like I say AFF is a money pit for men, and it takes advantage of them. Women get to apply for free Gold memberships. Membership revenue is a burden that men carry through inflated fees. There used to be lower priced membership options like "Silver" available. Not anymore. The membership cost is not worth it because most of the profiles are spammers, or fake profiles set up by women who sort of want to live out just a cyber fantasy or just be the center of attention from large numbers of grovelling males ages 18-99. They're rewarded with free Gold memberships to keep the population of women on the site looking healthy. But think about that: they have to pay them with a free gold membership to kind of look active.

If you don't live in a big city your chances of actual contact are few and far between. AFF is a waste of time and money. I think these kinds of sites have had there day. Less people are willing to play such high costs for something of very little value -- which is why AFF has made things more expensive.

A new wave of apps and adult dating sites are poised to take their place, and now the owners of AFF don't have the money to buy the competition out like they used to. Good riddance to AFF. They deserve to be broke, busted, and go away. I have found other sites where a hookup can be had. It usually appears they don't have as many members on other sites, but like I say a lot of the women on AFF are fakes, not really active, or are just there to get off on the attention.

AFF is your typical hookup dating site. Does it have its problems and frustrations? You bet! But is it better than other sites out there? Goddam right it is! Theres no way I could handle using just this site for getting laid though Id go blind from self abuse in between the actual sex meetings as there are so few. The general rule is if you want to get regular action on these kinda sites you cant just pick one and expect that youll need to buy a mop for when the ladies all turn up at your door desperate for actionthat does not happen guys! Wake the hell up dudes! The way to make this stuff work for you is to join a few sites. Heres what I do (and its not just me, most of my buddies do the same):
1. Join at least three of these sites (AFF, hookuphangout.com, flirtydater.com, etc, etc)
2. Spend time on your profile, its your shop window and if you dont care about it then why should the limited number of chicks available give a damn about you?
3. Go to TOWN! Send messages to girls like there is no tomorrow and you want your last day on this planet to be spent ball deep in some gorgeous chicks clunge.
4. Get rid of any subscriptions after a 2-3 months that arent working for you and switch to another site but remember if youre getting replies then be patient and dont cancel just because you havent had any catfights over you yet.
Thats the way I play and it works for me. But then im a studmuffin so maybe thats the real key to this stuff! Either way dont give up and be realistic!

AFF is a bot/scammer site. Every profile I've interacted with has asked me to add them on another platform just to chat. Some bots don't even try to hide the fact they're catfishing (profile is that of a man, but the bot is sending you pictures of an OF model)

After weeding out and blocking all the bots, all that's left are people that can't possibly be real. AFF advertises as a casual sex site, but 99& of the profiles (that actually have a Gold membership) are from people literally looking for love... I swear. And it's not a particular type of profile. Doesn't matter the age, body type or location, most of those particular profiles demand to be swept of their feet, teased intellectually and swooned like prince charming.

The DTF profiles and "need it rn" don't answer back because most of them don't have Gold status. So even if you send them a message, or flirt with them, the person on the other side won't see it and won't be able to respond. So you all do the math.

The site claims it's free, but you can only communicate and hookup with people that pay. The people that pay are way past the margins of reality according to their own profiles because they want a connection you can only get through marriage while claiming to be ready for casual sex and exploring new things. And tech support does not help. I've reported many profiles and all of those profiles are still up.

So save your money. Stick to MAs, LL and wtv isn't complicated in the process. If these dating sites were serious about making money, they would charge a monthly subscription up front instead of claiming free but charging just to read a message. When you take it all in, these kind of sites could not have possibly been created, managed, or used by women. I think it's bunch of men at the top and mostly men behind the fake profiles trying their best to keep up the illusion that at some point, you can score, but all they do is lead you along.

This website is ok i havent had any meet ups with anyone in years but i was online about to make online dates and my account was deleted for no reason. No response from customer service. Im thinking of flirting in person maybe trying a new online dating website. It just sucks i got a email saying my account may have been compromised i need to change my password after it was deleted. 75% FAKE PROFILES with a high rate of people getting stds from other members

Ever since penthouse bought aff out this site has gone to $#*! fast. There are a lot of people on this site spreading stds and lying about it. The amount of overweight women in comparison to fit women is about 99:1 (yes for every ONE fit woman there are 99 FAT one's) the majority of the unicorn profiles are fakes, the majority of the SBM profiles are either liars, fakes, flakes, wife $#*!ers with no condoms or all in all men who will say anything just to $#*! then when they show up they CAN'T $#*! for $#*! and have zero personality. The majority of the couples are as usual CLIQUE they stick to what and who they know and even when they do set up dates with you they will NOT SHOW UP and will never apologize for it.

My advice, stay away, don't waste your money because as a free member you have NO ABILITY to do anything. They will spam you to death as a free member with the most beautiful of women, men and couples trust it is just CATFISH profiles. The STAFF are required to make and maintain FAKE PROFILES just to keep your interest and it works for some.

I am a male Frenchman living in Texas and surveyed the cities of Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Dallas for women. I had a 2-weeks gold membership for free b/c I had my ID verified. I didn't even use my 2-weeks gold access and had enough of AFF after 10 days.

I was very surprised to find the following kinds of members on that site: Most women are 45 or older. Few are still hot but most are of average looks and body types and have little education. I didn't survey the men but according to the male pictures female had on their profile as 'friends', there are a lot of big, muscular, ripped guys apparently younger than the women and showing off their huge c**k. Sure enough, these older women close to the end of their sexual life go crazy and do not respond to you if you don't have these incredible assets. Many average or lower older women require that men be a certain height, at the very least 5ft10 but 6ft is better. And they expect you to look like Brad Pitt.
