Very sad. I used to be a member of this site off & on but now, STAY AWAY!

I see that is used for verification for dating sites sometimes - that is the lure, as well as meeting people. I have met people on it in the past with fun results although it wasn't easy.

Now the problem is the membership enrollment. It's supposed to be simple. They have choices laid out with accurate breakdowns on costs.

So I asked for a simple 1 month membership ($25) + 1 month of extra benefit to allow non-subscribers to write ($20). I clicked the correct buttons issued but there seemed to be a delay. I got another screen with all of the extras listed. I clicked the same choice as before ($20 option) and continue. It gave me the same screen again but this time, no continue. So I simply clicked the no, thanks button to get out, thinking if there is an error, at least I won't get charged. Instead I get slapped with a $60 3 month membership charge from a different site (something hookup instead of the discreet name they promised to bill under)!

I immediately called customer service. Took 10 minutes, then I got thru. They verified me and after explaining what happened, they apologized and said all they could do was give me the 1 month membership billed at a higher rate of $29.99!

Needless to say, I told them to cancel the whole order.

So... if you want to have a more costly order charged instead of what you want... and don't mind being charged even more if you ask for a correction, choose AFF.

Firstly, this site got hacked in late October 2016 and 340 MILLION user account details were stolen. As of 19th November 2016, the site has done NOTHING to notify customers.

They claim to be the world's largest sex and swinger's site. Here's the reality, in the U. K. for example, they have approximately 8.86 Million users, of which 2.6 Million are Men searching for Women, as compared to 106 Thousand Women seeking Men. That's a ratio of 22:1!

Then you need to consider of those 106,000 women, some are old profiles and then another huge section are fake or soliciting for various other websites, cam models, chat sites, paying subscription sites.

At a man; woman ratio of 22; 1 it's almost impossible to meet anyone. ALL the girls I have chatted with say they are overwhelmed by messages from guys.

Then there is the site itself that runs on a Flash platform, the IM is horribly intermittent in it's quality and the site itself crashes repeatedly.

DO NOT JOIN. It's a waste of time and money not to mention a security risk of both your personal information and credit card details.

I read a few reviews and agree with what was said. You *can* get dates and meet up with people no matter where you live. Currently, I'm in Europe and there are plenty of people. Not necessarily what I'm looking for but they're there. But it is all about money with this site. You can't respond or read a message fully unless you're a gold member. If you're a gold member you can pay an extra $10 I think for other members to contact you. When you first join as a standard member you get a lot of winks, flirts and a message which to read it or contact anyone requires you to upgrade. Once you upgrade it's about putting in the work to reach out to people. Everyone that came to you first automatically seems to not respond. At the top of the page it has a banner that tells you to extend your membership which leads you to believe it does not auto renew. This is false. It WILL auto renew. I have been charged twice after I emailed them asking to turn off auto renew. And I had to threaten to qualify it as a fraudulent charge if it happens again for them to say "your account will not auto renew". We'll see what happens but I will not use or recommend this site ever again

They banned me for absolutely no reason and refused to give a refund. Not to mention, before I was banned I noticed all the women are fake accounts. This site is a scam. Don't give them a cent!

I payed for one month of gold and the site took the £20 from my account, sent me an email saying that my order was declined even thought they already took my money, and it appears that they put my account "on hold" (i tried to log in from a different browser and using a VPN and it appears that they deleted my account) as well so now I can't remove my credit card info and I can't turn off auto renewal. DO NOT pay for this site, ever, even if you are tempted to, because this $#*! might happen. Now I will transfer all my money to my paypal and try to open a new bank account just because these $#*!s will probably try to steal my money.

1. Free membership - useless
2. Gold membership - useless
3. Skipped Premium and signed up for VIP, one month. See how that goes.
4. Sending/receiving messages seems to be a gamble because you can't tell if they're received/opened unless you have Premium! It's a feature that can help with bot: not a bot, interest: no interest. Time saver.
5. With their affiliated sites, which on AFF is OK Cupid, you have to co-ordinate their settings, which is stupid, to make things work properly. WTF?!
6. Apparently, this the world's largest hook up site, but likely not the best.
7. Of course, a plethora of supermodels - unless you are one, the chances mr. Average will get real response is, oh about, zero! And models needing AFF for $#*! or $#*!?
8. Searching is another convoluted episode. Customizing settings is great (GOLD and up), you change and save. When I hit the match button the results are totally different. They need better programming. Check IM, come b ack to match page and you've got headaches.
9. With regards to any dating site you are better off paying.

I was highly successful on the site. Wasn't too hard meeting women at all. You just got to know what you're doing. First, you must be willing to write a decent profile which is grammatically correct. Guys lose the dirty pics and have a face pic. Trust me I've talked to enough women to know that's not a great opener. Save that for later.

What's your intent? Believe it or not, there are several women on AFF looking for a relationship. You can meet a decent woman on AFF. Within the first day, I had two opportunities in my area to have casual sex. After careful thought, I decided that's not what I was looking for and politely backed out. After that, I just mainly cruised profiles and had some wonderful conversations with all types of women across the country. When you reply to a profile just be respectful and don't start out with vulgar sex talk. Gezzz have some class and the ladies will respect that.

Finally, I met a wonderful woman which we share the same interests. We're hitting it off quite well. Recently I've deleted my profile because we've committed to each other. So here's my review on AFF. It's a great site for casual sex or finding a relationship. You must have thick skin and know how dating sites work though. Cheers.

Site is filled with fake accounts. 90% people are not who they say they are. Website itself also sucked and God forbid you say it, they will cancel your account with zero refund

I took a short break from the site only to log in 2 weeks later to be told my account is "invalid' for the two weeks i was off that site i received email notifications every day saying i had unread messages and a couple of profile views meaning my account was valid, but when i tried to log in after the 2 weeks break was told "account invalid" i had thousands of points i think they stole my points and erased my account because being off site means i did nothing wrong to warrant a ban its them not me!
* if they can"t protect your account is it safe to use your credit or debit card to upgrade in that website? I DON"T THINK SO!
They also mention that one can use points to upgrade to gold membership or buy gifts which i did severally or convert points to cash, but when ever i have enough points for cash prize account went missing! Went missing in april, with over 80 k points was recoverd a week later but disappeared again in september this time the account is" invalid"
they can"t even recognize the email address that i signed up with if that is not
SCAM! I don"t know what it is!

My partner and I signed up for an account and paid for a month of the gold membership. We were able to make an account and fill out our profile despite the slow website and somewhat inconvenient UI. We used it for a few hours before we encountered an issue where we could not use their Instant Messenger to chat with other users. We assumed it was just a glitch, as the IM had been buggy before. So, we logged out and attempted to log back in.

We were then greeted with a message saying our login information did not match their records. I attempted to change our password and was told the email used for our account was invalid. Very confused, we contacted customer support. After waiting a while in the queue, we spoke to an agent. After taking our username, the agent told us their "department" could not help and closed the chat immediately after telling us to try tomorrow during regular business hours.

The next day, during the morning, we contacted customer support. After giving our information, we were told our account had been deactivated. We were then transferred to "risk management." After a 30 minute wait, we were told again that our account had been deactivated. They did not tell us why, but only gave us a clearly pre-written response saying we needed to send our driver's licenses to their email in order for our account to be reactivated. When we asked why, they rudely closed the chat.

This is our full experience with AFF. When it did work, the site is buggier and lower quality than others like it. Please take our experience into consideration when looking to use AFF. We'd suggest going elsewhere.

Since 2008 I only paid for a 3 month membership one time. I have had the "gold" for about the last 3 years and have not paid anything more ever. I guess it's due to the popularity of my profile and my being active in the online community of AFF. Even if you don't want to pay, you can still access a certain amount of stuff as a standard member. You can view 1 webcam at a time of live actual members(free), You can chat all day long in any public rooms, blog, join groups, send like 10 emails a day that you initiate. There are for sure limitations, but it really is legitimate.

There is going to be BS anywhere you go in real life or virtual. The experience you have with the BS is going to be based on your reactions to what you come across. Just ignore anybody asking for personal info from the start, and don't give out your credit card for any reason! It may take you a little time to feel out what is fake and what is not, but I say worth it! I have met many people from AFF and most I still keep in contact with even from 7 years ago. I even just blogged about this being a real site. It really is a fun community to be a part of.
