If it's too good to be true, it is! This is a classic bait and switch company who preys on those looking for a good deal. They will upsell you on everything after you make the purchase. You will not receive what they've promised and in the end you'll pay much more than the camera can be purchased for from a legit company. Stick with a reputable company like B&H or Adorama who have been around and know what customer service is. These kind of companies need to be shut down and the crooks running them locked up.

You will not receive what they've promised and in the end you'll pay much more than the camera can be purchased for from a legit company. Stick with a reputable company like B&H or Adorama who have been around and know what customer service is. These kind of companies need to be shut down and the crooks running them locked up.

DO NOT BUY A DAMN THING FROM THEM. IT IS NOT WORTH YOUR TIME OR SAVING A FEW BUCKS. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY REGARDLESS IF YOU CANCEL OR NOT AND HAVE TO CALL THEM JUST TO TRY TO UPSELL YOU. THEY ARE CLOSED DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS AND WHEN THE PHONE DOES RING, THEY NEVER ANSWER. THIS DISGUSTING PLACE IS NOT OUT OF NEW YORK OR CALIFORNIA AS THE NUMBER ON THE WEBSITE SUGGESTS. THEY ARE OUT OF GREAT BRITAIN. IM REPORTING THEM TO THE BBB ASAP. THESE PEOPLE ARE RUDE, INCONSIDERATE IMBECILES. STAY AWAY. FAR AWAY.

4/30/15- I ordered a Nikon camera at what seemed to be a great price. They did not mail it - instead called my number and emailed me saying they couldn't mail the camera unless I called them to "verify" I made the order (strange hugh). I called and the guy told me the camera does not come with a battery and tried to up the price by a ridiculous amount to sell me the battery. I said "no, thank you" - still I do not see any indication they have mailed anything to me.

My husband placed an order for the new Nikon p900 yesterday. They called him today asking to confirm the order over the phone. (He placed the order online). They asked him if he wanted to order the battery with it. They gave him a price of $640 after he only paid $500 with the coupon code they still have on their price. He asked how much is the battery and they told him $50, yet they were going to charge an additional $140. He said to forget it and cancel the order. They hung up on him. He called back to make sure they are cancelling the order and before he could confirm, again they hung up on him. Ridiculous place. Such a scam. NIKON batteries come with the camera. Everyone knows that. They should be removed from the internet. My husband is cancelling his cc and having a new card shipped out just incase and if anyone placed an order and has a similar problem, Id cancel the card and get a replacement sent out as well.

I pride myself in doing my research on products and companies, but I was so excited about the camera deal with this company. Researched on Amazon Ebay and other camera companies and found this company was the cheapest. But didn't know about the prices of batteries, cd cards etc... I was very naive and said yes. I could cry now knowing I approved their charge on my credit card. I called my credit card company right away after I read everyone's reviews and they are putting a block on my card so no more charges will come thru. They said if I do not receive it in a timely manner and reach out to them thru email, they will help me get my money back. I will never do that again. I order a lot on line thru different companies and out of the country and been pleased with my purchases. I pray I get my camera and all the accessories they promised. So sick to my stomach!

Ordered a point and shoot only to be called to "Verify The Order". Called to be informed that if I wanted the battery and charger it would be an extra $80. I'm sure if I had continued I would have been told to get the red color I ordered would be an extra $10 for paint! Classic bait and switch NYC camera scum low lifes.

These guys are a fraud they will steal your credit card number and ship you nothing

Then if they actually sell you something they will tell you it an import model (grey market)

Which means thier is no warrenty they are the same outfit as accessorycircut.com and americacameras.com

Beware look at thier prices they are way too cheap i found out thier is a major investigation due to fraud

By the ny state attny general they are bait and switch operation stay away at all cost

My letter to this company:

Hello,

I hope you're doing well. I just called your processing department and was told I would have to pay 420 dollars, w/handling charges, on a camera that came to a total of 350.00 on the invoice w/free shipping; SO, I CANCELED THE ORDER FOR THAT CAMERA. It seems that your company lacks the ability to use full disclosure as the order is made and confirmed. And, I WANT NO PART OF BUYING ANYTHING FROM YOUR COMPANY, NOW OR EVER. Because of my experience, with trying to make a fair purchase from your company, I missed bids on EBay and lost time in buying the camera. This making the deal and then upping the cost is not fair and a poor business practice; I can see why you aren't selling on EBay. For this reason you can be sure I will add to the list of complaints lodged against your company out on the internet; I will also contact PayPal (again) to let them know what you are doing to potential customers (I contacted them before the transaction to see if they had complaints pending from other potential customers). Remember that in business, "Right thinking, right action, and word of mouth, is everything". I have snipped and made copies of everything; perhaps I can save others from loss from your little white lies. Think about it; that little white spot in chicken poop? It's still poop! I will use this letter in making my complaints on the internet... Have a nice day!

This "company" is one big scam. I tried to order name brand parts for my camera, and received some knock-off brand instead. When I called to start the return process for a full refund, I was told I had agreed to a different brand over the phone. I had someone call me, and recommend a battery with longer life, and a rapid charger - so I agreed. No one ever asked about an off-brand. The "customer service" was AWFUL. I've literally never dealt with anyone worse. I spoke to the rudest, worst human being I've ever encountered. He was yelling at me (about the millions he made off of "people like me" and how he wanted me to return it so they could charge a restocking fee and I would pay for nothing), talking over me, and flat out refused to tell me how to return my fraudulent products. And he claimed to be the owner! DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS WEBSITE. My bank statement says the purchase went through as "bestpricephoto" instead of Accessory Packages as well. Something is definitely not right with them - don't waste your time. I'm also reporting to the FTC, and further authorities if I don't receive a full refund. I will also be changing all my bank information as I've seen other reviews stating they had fraudulent charges and they use your information.

Do NOT waste any time or money with this company or their UK counterpart "http :// http :// acamerapackages. Com/"... it is a total scam!

Product: Nikon coolpix L840
List price: $169.99 (free shipping)
Final sale price (after upsale to "american model"): $215 (charged international shipping from New York office to the midwest)

Advertised shipment company: UPS
Actual shipment company: USPS
Package contents: Camera, lens cover, off-brand strap, 4 batteries, table stand (crappy). NO USERS MANUAL.

Packing technique: NONE. Everything was thrown into a box without protection. I'm lucky nothing got scratched/cracked during shipping.

In summary, I got lucky. Their listed phone numbers are in New York, Florida, and California. The first email I got from this company came 3 days after purchase, and said there was a problem with my order. Invoice didn't come until after they tricked me into upgrading. They up sold me, since the one I ordered was apparently a Japanese model. I'm just thankful nothing was broken (I can guarantee they would not have been helpful if I needed a return). Ended up changing my credit card information after this purchase, just to be safe.

After naively placing an order on acamerapackages.com, i received numerous follow up emails requesting that i contact them through a Los Angeles based telephone number in regards to my payment information. The message explained it would need a "payment verification" before proceeding with the order. (i had made my purchase using a prepaid visa gift card just in case.) After arousing my suspision i did some more research into the website to personally validate the authenticity of the website. What i found is follows:

The number (*******360) i was asked to call to verify payment information was based out of Los Angeles. I tested it, and it does go through, but only to an automated message that then puts you on hold while waiting for a "operator" to assist you. I gave up after 10 minutes.

According to the website, it says the main office is based at 3010 OCEAN PARKWAY BROOKLYN NY *******. After a street view search on google i found the building with the given address is not an office, but a housing complex with the name Trump Village.

The phone number given for the address in Brooklyn is *******900, which after research, yields a location in Santa Barbra, CA. Not Brooklyn NY.

The tab on the website that gives a link to their "stores" in the US, presents a map of 5 locations in the Boca Raton- Miami area. Upon further research, these locations are all of Home Depot stores.

The "follow us on facebook" link brings you to a facebook page for "CameraLK store - Buy / Rent Cameras." The address provided on the Facebook page is 263, Highlevel Road, Colombo 06
Colombo, Sri Lanka.

The website provided on the facebook page links to https://cameralk.com/ which is a verified private internet connection. There is no indication that this website is in anyway involved with acamerapackages.com

Another customer service number listed in fine print in the terms and conditions is *******559, a Manhattan area code. Attempted to dial this number but "the call could not go through"- spoken to me by an automated operator.

Also discovered a few other odd things, but i think at this point you get the idea, 100% sketchy. Do not give them any financial information.

Ordered a camera flash that was listed on their web site but they did not have and was told that another was better. The one that I was sent was damaged and appeared used. I attempted to return it and found that company does not accept returns without some sort of assigned number from them. I allowed them to send another which didn't fire off when necessary. I was charged an outrageous amount in return and processing fees. The customer service representative was nice but didn't compensate for the companies practices.
So buyers beware. BH
