DON'T ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. I ordered a Sony Bravia OLED TV and paid for rush shipping. I sent an email 3 business days later to check on the order... after waiting another 24 hours I sent another email. After no response via email I called 5 days later to check on the order because I had not heard from them other than the original email after the purchase. I did get a guy on the phone who held me on the phone but wouldn't let me speak because he was finishing up an email. Then when he said I could speak I told him I was following up on an order and gave him the order #. He said he couldn't help me and that the other staff was too busy to talk as well. I cancelled the order (I hope anyway). Literally one of the worst customer service experiences in my life! Hoping to not get charged/get a refund for this TV now.
Beware. They will tell the TV you ordered is not for sale at the listed price and is not available. Then the price for what you want is raised by 30% or more.
SCAMMERS!
Seen these people's ad for the LG 77" OLED TV, for an "amazing" $3,649! Did my due diligence and checked their online reputation, including this very sitejabber.com everything seemed to be OK. Placed an order and then the circus came to town!
Got a call from them on the weekend, and the story was that I have ordered a unit made by "an LG subcontractor in China, which they use only during high season", with a display that was "not as good" as what LG normally makes; but, they would sell me the "good" unit, for some $4,999. Unlikely story since there are only a very, very few makers of large OLED displays in the world, and display factories do not go on/off "as needed". Since they already accepted my order, I insisted to maintain the same order. I was told that a delivery will be made in 14 days, or so.
Called them after 14 days, and I was next told the unit I ordered was a "hotel version"; I was also told some gibberish regarding power consumption, and some others stuff I did not understand even if I have a college engineering degree, and I worked in the electronics industry for 30yrs. There was no delivery date anymore, and I was invited to wait indefinitely until a hotel would order 100 units, so they can add mine.
Surely, I did cancel the order.
Purchased a TV on ABCTVs.com. A few days later I got a call from one of their reps wanting to confirm the FedEx delivery of an "8-bit LG TV". First of all, I paid for white glove delivery. Secondly, when I asked what 8-bit meant, he said it's what they usually sell to businesses but prob not good for a main TV at home. He then tried to up-sell me to the a 10-bit version of the same thing for $600 more. A quick google search reveals that there is no 8-bit version as well as numerous stories about the same up-sell scam ABCTv does to all of their customers. I then emailed them to confirm the model number and that it was indeed a 10-bit TV that I would be receiving and that it was covered by a 1 yr factory warranty and their 2yr warranty for a total of 3 years. A few days went by with no response, emailed again, a few more days, emailed again, and again. Finally, emailed them to cancel the order. Still haven't heard anything. No response whatsoever. You would think that they would want to contact me to complete the sale? Even if they were a legitimate company, their service is terrible. I'm not sure why they haven't been indicted for false advertising, deceptive sales practices, and fraud but it probably won't be long.
My LG OLED 65C8PUA arrived today and I am happy as a pig in slop. My TV was packaged very properly and it was just as I expected. Al, at ABC TV's told me the truth about my order and I was in doubt a little but no more, I highly recommend ABC TV's to anyone looking for a great TV at a great price. Look, great TV's are not cheap okay so you get what you pay for, period.
Saw a Sony 75 inch TV for less price than reputed places like Best Buy.
Made order, he told what ever shown in oline is U1 get Manolia for U2
For a different price. Nonsense way of baiting.
I was looking for an LG oled 77" but they were way too expensive for my blood. ACTS had this screaming black friday deal that was too good to be true. Like they say, " if it sounds too good to be true it probably is". I called the store and asked if it was the same tv that they sell at Best Buy and other retail stores and was assured it was. I asked how they can sell it for so much cheaper and they said because we're a wholesaler not a retailer. So I purchase the tv and my order is confirmed but the next day cancelled. I call to find out why and they tell me the shipper they had been using to my area was breaking too many tv's. So I found the shipper they told me to call and they said it would be $125 shipping instead of free shipping. As I talked to the rep more come to find out this is a tv made with specs from foreign countries and is not at all the same tv and is not even suitable for watching tv programs. I told them that it doesn't indicate that anywhere on the site and was told I didn't search it the correct way... I searched for cheapest tv instead of going to their site first and then searchinf6for the tv and it would have brought up the two different tv's. Lucky for me, because had they sent me the tv and I was unhappy with it they charge $750 to return it! For some it may work out but I was fortunate they didn't send me the overpriced piece of scrap they tried to sell off as a top of the line tv.
The site listed one price, but when I added the TV to my cart the price jumped by over $200!
I called the 978 number to get clarification. "Al" never answered my inquiry about the price jump between site & my cart, or even honoring the price shown. He instead immediately launched into 2 minute scripted spiel in an attempt to upsell me on the same model, but $700 more expensive.
Why? Because "it is made from the actual manufacturer's factory in Mexico, instead of their licensed sub-contractor factory in Asia.
The one you saw is for commercial and hotels built to minimum spec. Only 2 year warranty. The other model -- oh go to my website and put in these three characters at the end of the model number you're looking at --- this is the good one and we include a 5 year warranty."
What?! All the OLED panels for LG originate from South Korea. All sub-components originate from China & Taiwan. Final assembly for North America takes place in Mexico - period because of NAFTA beating the import tariffs vs. Asia. This is why flat panel prices in the US have plummeted.
Moreover, why even list inferior goods on your site and not clearly label them as "commercial" if they are the commercial line? It's clearly a scam to get traffic "in the door."?
Why do I have to call you to get some secret internal SKU number that only your company uses to to have access to see the real price and prime goods?
No thanks. I'll trust my gut and walk away. You guys need to improve your business practices.
Place order for LG OLED77C9PUB on Friday for $2799. On Monday 1 PM was told by Al that this is made of inferior Chinese components & was offered LG OLED77CXPUA-LJR made in Mexico for $3900. I said ok.
Then called LG to make sure. They told me all OLED TV's are made in Korea.
Called back at 3pm & was told the item has been shipped & I will be charged $200 for getting the delivery back.
Even though I dont see any info about the order on their own website in my account plus no email confirmation.
Stay Away.
After reading reviews, I'll not buy from Vons or abc, prices are wonderful but looks scary, I don't have time to waste with Jack or other sales person..
Found this site from Google Shopping results for an LG OLED unit. Shortly after ordering the TV, I received an email asking to call them. When I did, I was given a speach about OEM vs non-OEM units and enticed to pay a little more for an OEM build. From Reddit posts, this seems to be a common line they tell customers for a number of units. 3 days after the order and receiving the shipping tracking information email, the tracking still showed that the item had not been picked up by the shipping carrier. I emailed the company to cancel the order and refund the amount, to which I got no response.
I had to dispute the charges with my Credit Card Bank and make a purchase elsewhere.
Not only was the experience alarming, but so was the reported review ratings of the organization. Trying to find how to make a review for this company gave me the feel that the reviews themselves shown by Google are a Shell Game and now unreliable.
My recommendation, reviews are manipulated and mostly fake now a days, go with a vendor you know to not be a fly by night company or running scams.
Ordered an LG tv for 1569. They charged me 1890 telling me that if I don't pay extra it will be manufactured with after market parts.
DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CROOKS
Claims TV I wanted is just a commercial monitor. (Not true) Tried to sell me one $500 more expensive. I called BS!
I ORDERED A TV. WAITED FOR 2 WEEKS. NO TV. I CALLED. THE GUY TOLD ME TO PAY MORE BECAUSE THE ONE THAT I ORDERED WAS MADE FROM CHINA AND IT WAS NO GOOD. I KNEW THE GUY TELL ME LIES SO I TOLD THEM TO SEND ME THE ONE I ORDERD ANYWAY. HE SAID THAT HE WILL SHIPING IT OUT THE FOLLOWING WEEK. WAITING AND WAITING- NO TV STILL. CALLED BACK SERVERAL TIMES NO ANSWER. I CALLED AND CANCEL MY CREDIT CARD. THIS GUY IS TRYING TO STEAL MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATIONS... IT'S A FAKE WEBSITE.
The company delayed my shipment until I called them, and then they declared that my order was for an inferior performing TV. They said they would throw in a 5 year extended warranty if I would pay 300 dollars more for a newer model of the TV I ordered. When I got my email statementI researched their warranties, and found an in home policy for the same price as the carry in warranty. I called them back, and they agreed to change the policy to in home. I didn't receive a notification of the policy change, so I called back. I was then told that the policy was for an LCD, not an LED as I had purchased. Even though they had agreed to convert my warranty to in home, they now wanted another $250.00 for the in home upgrade. The rep tried to make me feel like a con man for asking for what had already been agreed to by a Ebuy rep. I almost gave in, but decided I had already been lured into spending $300 dollars more for the TV upgrade, and wasn't willing to spend any more. I suggest you pay close attention to detail when trading with them. Their verbal commitments are not valid. Their warranty sku codes are tricky, and they sweat you out on delivery until you call, and then they try to get you to upgrade your order. What they offer for "free", if you'll spend hundreds more, is substandard warranty coverage. I'll add this for your research convenience if you desire. https://www.cnet.com/news/are-tv-extended-warranties-worth-it/
Well I think there is too much music during tv programs
In the morning I look bcoz it's coming up and sounds interesting but when it's actually on it's all music in the background I turn it off disgusted bcuz I was looking forward to watching this and find out I can see it alright but can't hear it bcuz tooo much music is being played
Also on Friday night for 20/20 Every Friday I want to watch these interesting programs coming up but when I'm actually watching it I can't hear it bcuz there's too much music in the background so I turn it off
ABC you destroy your programs bcuz you put Loud music on in the background and that's a turn off so I'm done with 20/20 on Friday night
And also every morning bcoz of the loud music in the background
Do you honestly think people are going to listen to your programs with blaring music in the background we cannot even hear what the programs are about I switch it off instantly because we cannot even hear what the story is about on Friday night for 2020 and also every morning
Get rid of the music if you want viewers bro stay. I have been meaning to send in this for months but have not as I'm busy with work
I don't watch ABC tv anymore bcoz of the loud unessassary music
How are people supposed to enjoy a story with all that crazy music
And no one wants to listen to loud music in the mornings
Get your act together ABC
This is a total scam, they didn't reply to my 5 email requests to clarify why my invoice didn't have my name on it (sent to *******@abctvs.com) when I made contact they said oh it must be in spam.
My theory is that I suspect that this website collects emails passwords and credit cards. The hook is an absurdly low cost on TV's
When I called their local number it was out of order *******067. The 866 number works but you get 3 NYC bro's passing the phone between each other. They clearly don't care to do anything but appear legit. Then they offer to put you on a notice list for the TV when it comes back in stock only asking your name but no contact details.
They were rude have perceivable well rehearsed lines about missing names on my invoice saying it was my browsers cookies.
If you messed up, change your common passwords. Remember to change your credit cards information! AND post a review about your experience so others will be aware that the 5 star reviews are just their attempt at off setting the consistent negative reviews.
YES IT IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE
FAKE SCAM AVOID THIS COMPANY
I bought 2 TVs very cheap in 2 different websites with a NEW Credit Cards that i never used before... so first tv was 500 dollars cheap, company sent in 1 month Looks USED and i opened the panel was replaced with a ASIAN PANEL, tv looks horrible image SONY 75" 940D... second TV the company wanna take over 1 month so my credit card or most credit cards cover you only for 30 days, donot pass never 1 month because you gonna lost the dispute with your bank... so i decided to cancel second tv... after 1 month call me my bank was a FRAUD i somebody steal money from 4 different states... that was the credit card from first tv... second tv after 2 months took money in a store with numbers only and took money 1,870 dollars from other state california that i never been there... so that is what these people are doing... advertising cheap prices but later they gonna steal your money from ur credit cards, they are a MAFIA, they only want your credit card information, so they can steal from you... Thank You.
I placed an order for a LG C9 through ABC TVs due to the fact they seemed to be the only company that stated they had that particular TV in stock NEW. I checked with Amazon as well, they did not have it in stock for a new C9. I also foolishly did not research ABC TV before placing the order as I was not paying appropriate attention.
The next day, I got cold feet because I never received a tracking number (red flag #1) so I checked the reviews and was further convinced this is completely a scam (red flag #2). The positive reviews differ so much from the positives, it is too inconsistent. I was further put off by their outrageous return policy of $750 no matter what you get, whether it is broken or not what you ordered. Awfully convenient for them, especially it is over 50% of the cost of the purchase (red flag #3).
I called to cancel my order (less than 24 hrs later) and was given the same stuff everyone else seems to get. It was already "shipped" from Amazon so it would cost them money to return it. They also stated it was through their prime account so that is a lie on the shipping cost. Their excuse to me was rather comical, as obvious was their lie about the shipping cost. As I stated earlier, I checked with Amazon prior to my purchase so I immediately knew they were lying about it being shipped because they did not have it in stock anyway (at least for it to be a NEW C9).
I was told I would have to cover part of the shipping cost of the cancellation since it was "shipped." Quite the easy way to make a few dollars for doing absolutely nothing. I disputed the cost with my Credit Agency that I made the purchase with and they verified I was not responsible for any cancellation fee, especially since I had only just put in the order and never received the product. They blocked the charge. They also agreed that the practice of this company is questionable and would warn against any purchases there.
All-in-all, do not fall for their scam. Do not listen to the "good" reviews as they are questionable in their authenticity after my experience. This place is a headache and definitely too good to be true!
First of all - NO ADDRESS ( SUPER RED FLAG... DIDNT THINK OF IT UNTIL AFTERWARDS)... And when calling salesman immediately works on you to pay a lot more money if you want a non commercial type TV or the non V-chip TV... total bait and switch but still sent me the cheaper one for more money. Anyways... Second of all... The returns phone number which is different than sales phone number belongs to a DIFFERENT company who says they have no connection to ABCTV'S. COM... Third of all... Simply calling and pushing 2 for customer service takes forever for anyone to answer if they do at all, AND then get a run around with no results... Forth of all... Took 13 emails and after doing every little thing these scumbags want they will send you a return label and ask you to pay close to $300 to return. The LG TV I got had a very unclear picture, not sharp at all and lots of flutter. When they say there are 6 bit panels and 10 bit channels ( for more money) take that warning seriously, because it most be true, I must have gotten a 6 bit panel, picture quality was not good at all. WORST BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER!
Answer: These items are used and/or returned from customers as defective. It's common to receive a TV from this company that has been used for a year or more.
Answer: It means they will deliver your gray, non residential goods out of the white. Avoid these scammers. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
