403 Auction

These people are famous for bringing down your internal HiBid Score should you have an issue with them. They put "difficult customer" under my name and I never bought anything through them. I just had questions and this is what they do. Then other Auctioneers who use the HiBid platform will also see this. They are screwing all other Auctioneers with their childish comments. We all know who does this at 403 auction. Her name starts with letter H. STAY AWAY from them.

403 Auction items are mostly brand new and sold for at an extremely reasonable price. The staff there are very understanding when it comes to having to reschedule an appointment or explaining via email anything that you need help with. My personal experience was with HOLLY and she was more than a delight to deal with helping me understand everything about the auction including fees, rescheduling, returns, and things of that nature.

I have bought a number of items through 403 Auctions over the years and ALL of it turned out to be junk! They do absolutely no review of the products they sell on their site to provide any protection for buyers. If it doesn't work, too bad, that is your risk in using their auction site, there are absolutely no product guarantees and they will not honour any thought of refund if a product doesn't work or is defective.

When I have run into an issue and requested assistance, they don't even get back to try to provide assistance.

It is because of such poor business practices that 403 Auctions constantly receives such low ratings.

I first discovered 403 Auction last year. I have now bought things three times. Every time has been a really positive experience. They have the most unique combinations of auctions. My first auction I was able to buy real movie props, this is something I have never found from other auctions. They really give the public access to items that are really impossible to find anywhere else. I have also bought set costumes and took part in an "unclaimed freight" auction. It was so cool and felt like a massive mystery box full of real quality items.
I have chosen pickup every time and was actually really impressed with their procedures. You get to choose a time slot so you are not waiting around. And they follow the COVID guidelines.
As someone who frequents a lot of auction sites 403 auction has quickly become my favourite, and I recommend it to everyone.

We can not believe a registed bidding money company would tolerate this 403 joke of a auction house. 3 attempts to pickup goods and now told its gone. 3 days in a row than. What $#*!ty service and lies from dock people. Closing at 1 pm and only limited days. Than goods gone. Unbelievable poor business practice. Clients must complain more as this is not a first. Will complain to the open world on this and 403 needs pushed out of business as this type of creating extra work, run around than basiclly steal the goods away from legal buying is a sham. Did a lot of business with 403 auction and all was good. I typically bid on "BNIB or NEW" items. Got a crate and barrel side marble table that was broken in half when I opened up the box. The company never got back to me. I sent three email and none were acknowledged even. Disappointing.

Purchased over 10 skids of misguided / undelivered freight and value isn't worth what we paid. So many boxes of picked over and opened packages only to be retaped. We found a trend of same stuff ( paper towels, diapers and used useless modems on all skids. Paid for the big box of mystery items and turned out to be broken furniture, missing pieces, and 1 of 2 cases. Which results in garbage!

Very disappointed and felt skids were full of boxes that were open and inspected and then 'staged' to increase bids and profits for 403... won't be buying again

I was bidding here on some items from a movie set, they were excellent items that showed the prices paid for and the Antique stores in the US that sold the items.
My first issue was finding the names of these furniture makers, second, I found the site a bit rigged as well. I was bidding on several items, but gave some up and focused on one item I really wanted. But, for every one of my bids, one was following right behind it. Finally, after my ceiling was met and my last bid in the 1000's, suddenly no more action on the item. So did the "other bidder" have a higher ceiling or was it an actual person? So who knows, but, I haven't bid at this site again.

403 item descriptions are very accurate. You can be sure of the quality you are buying. Once you have purchased the pickup process is VERY well organized and efficient. They have excellent covid protocols. I have bought from a couple of sites and this is by far my preferred auction site.

I tried to activate an account to start bidding on auction items. I was told I had to send them $500.00 to put on deposit. If my auction item was under $500.00 they would MAIL me a check.
This is very suspect as they do not ship anything and for me to pick up the item I would have to pay for it anyway. Why the deposit?

WAS routed to their auction by HIBID auctions... no winning notification on site, contacted as highest bidder- still no response.
STAY AWAY, these ppl want to make money for no effort from them. Would never try to help... if u see their sign, RUN in opposite direction.

I saw a item listed in a national auction site called HiBid. The item was being sold by 403 and listed by them to the national auction. Their auction site states the auctions are for everyone to bid on. They also state that they are a confidence based auction service and you should have faith in them. Oddly, I attempted to bid on an item and they stated in my e-mail from them, that since I was not a local person, my bid would be refused. I think the auction is fixed and that a friend wants the item and therefore the operators of 403 are intentionally restricting the bidding process... Do not do business with this type of deceptive auction company. Thumbs down. Stay Away... The auctions are fixed based on my refusal after I paid the on-line credit card deposit.

Won a set of lamps for $34.00, I'm from Hamilton and the pick.up is Mississauga during work hours 9-5 (dont care about customers needs) rush hour.Went to the Mississauga warehouse I was wrong it was at a different location My Mistake I own that. I asked if they could wait for me No they would not. So I lost my items and the $$$. I let that go only to find out when I tried to bid on a later auction I was Suspended.I thought it was a mistake but it wasnt they wanted a 25% restocking fee! So I lost $38 2 hours of my time and now you want more $$.Really! Is this so they and theor frineds / associates can win more buds if there are less bidders or do they have absolutely no business sense? My husband tried to bid on 10 lamps under his name and credit card and it wasnt allowed Suspended as well.This should be against the law discrimination.
They also gave me a bad review as many of my other Professional auction houses told me.
