Check google to see if there are any coupons or Promos for Vitacost or for any other company you order from. Vitacost always has SOME coupons or promos, although I've been ordering from them long enough that I can't remember if they have a promotion for first time buyers. Just put into Google "Vitacost coupons or promotions" and several sites will come up.

I don't think VitaCost is a scam. They ignored my emails for awhile when I had a question. I think my concern fell through the cracks. I persisted and finally got a dedicated customer service woman who solved my problem as far as she was able. The root of the problem was with their courier, who charges Ontario tax incorrectly. Each time I make an order they request a review of taxes by the courier, and I get a refund. Sometimes the refund is too little and sometimes it is too much! But I have had many promptly delivered orders at a good price. If their excellent product selection and good prices are worthwhile for you, persevere.

My personal advice... Avoid this site! I made a purchase and haven't been able to track my parcel. They ship with some Mercury Landmark Global business which conveniently I am unable to get assistance from either! :(
