Question:

Answer:

Has anyone ever heard of anything happening with this? I see there is a lawsuit by a Miller vs. Groupon for Groupon continuing to sell their PeggyBank vouchers long after they realized there were major issues, but this was in 2016 and I can't find any information on how the suit went. I'm assuming everyone's lawyers are just making tons of money dragging it out. PeggyBank was either bought out or went bankrupt. There is a company in Indiana that seems to have had some dealing with them at some point, but they no longer list them as a subsidiary or any other current association with them. I at least got my videos and photos back, but lost all access to the digitized files that I paid for.

Question:

What are they charging every one for return postage? the company is forcing me to pay $24.99 for the return postage for my order of 9 8mm tapes. yet the first order they returned in may for 11 bigger vhs tapes was only $14.99. a $10 jump in 32 days?

Answer:

I had to pay 24.99 for return postage for both my boxes. We sent 13 VHS tapes in each. I thought that was outrageous, but I paid it anyway.

Question:

Q: i, too, sent my precious photos to peggy bank. i sent payments for the extra photos over the limit on the groupon offer and more for several jump drives. in total, $100.00 +. i waited 20 months to receive my photos back, and i am pleased for that. but, how do i get my money returned for the products and services i never will receive? you are not calling back when i leave a message, and i am fully aware of your guidelines that "if i continue to call, my spot in the rotation is reset to put me at the end again and again". so, you do not respond to my emails, which included my receipts, or phone calls. are you returning my money or do i have to file a claim with the attorney general? i will give you until january 4,2016 to respond.

Answer:

How did you get your tapes back? They still have mine!

Question:

Answer:

The PeggyBank founder is Jim Simon. I researched and found that he has opened Peggy Bank companies across several states. He appears to bankrupt one and open another in another state. He also merges PeggyBank with other companies like Scandisk when they atart to fail by taking in more orders than they can fulfill. I was fortunate to get my materials back through Scandisk, but have not received any of the money I paid for the services and extra flash drives for multiple copies of the scans. I tracked Jim Simon's activities from Omaha to California when I decided to follow the advice from Mary on this page and file a complaint with the state of California Department of Justice. They have taken up the pursuit. I started the process on line, if you choose to do so.
