Here’s what consumers have asked with answers from Groupon staff and previous consumers.
Call your bank to dispute the charges, however, you must file your claim quickly as you have 120 days to file after waiting the shipping time given by the merchant. You're bank will ask if you've tried to settle with the merchant yourself by contacting them by phone. They'll want the date and time of attempted contact and the name of the representative you spoke with if contact was made. If phone contact was unsuccessful they'll ask if you tried contacting them by email and may want copies of the email coorospondance or emails sent if no coorospondance was made. They'll ask if you have a copy of your order placed or email reciept sent by Groupon after placing your order so if you have this keep it because your bank will want verification along along with the tracking number (the tracking number is very important) and any correspondence you've had with the merchant when trying to ressolve the issue. Your bank will place an investigation themselves and hash it out with the merchant (Groupon). If they find the merchant negligent they can be fined for fraudulant charges to include the remibersment to your bank, not to mention the bad strikes they'll recieve. The bank's investigation can take up to 90 days so it may take that long to get your money back onto your account, and most likely you will because the bank is in your favor. Just remember your bank is on your side as you are their customer and protecting your money is their job. I worked for the bank as a financial crimes investigator and this was my job. You can also contact the BBB and file a complaint with them as well and it will be recorded for public record. Hope this helps and good luck... Lois :)
Yes I have been using Groupon for many years and everything that I have purchased has been what they say. I have used it more for massages and nail appt. Now sometimes those things were not the greatest you could get but it was what was stated in the writing. I have purchased several things and they were of good quality. SO if says it is an IPOD and it doesn't mention it is reconditioned or used then it will a brand new Ipod. YOU can not go wrong with Groupon and if you use it for nails/massages it is expires you will get the amount of money that you paid for it to apply for that same procedure. It is a great company.
I'm not sure about tickets. When we order a groupon for a restaurant we get an email that we copy. Call groupon and ask them. Are you sure there wasn't a place to click on to get the place to copy? Don't have any... web master changed the settings when the name was also changed to Ideal from Ideali. It's frustrating to have to start all over from page 1 so I look at everything in my size on that particular page, after I finish I scroll up to the item for the details. If there's more than one have to start all over again. Poorly designed and doubt that the web master would 'hear, much less change the settings. Also the 'saved faves' are now randomly eliminated.
