Question:

Hi, do you precess title transfer? how you do it?

Answer:

Hi Ada, if you are looking to register your vehicle in Florida or California, you can place and order on our website. We will review your information and request that you provide copies of your documents. Once those have been reviewed and any corrections needed are completed, you will need to mail in the current title you have so that it can replaced with your new title. We will send you your new title and registration by mail. The process can take 10 to 15 days if we receive the requested information and documents quickly. We hope that helps.

Question:

My order was cancelled(not by me)and told fees refunded but i havent got my money back in my account any idea how long that takes

Answer:

Hi Michale, refunds typically take 2 to 5 business days. However, if your payment was held and not posted, you might see the hold disappear as opposed to it showing as a deduction that is later added back to your account. We hope that helps.

Question:

I ordered title transfer and new plates how long do i have to wait

Answer:

Hi Andre, because of DMV closures we experienced an increase in online requests for transfers which resulted in delays in processing. Typically the process to receive your new title and registration in the mail takes 10 to 15 days if we receive all of the requested information in a timely manner. If you still need assistance with your order, please send us your order ID and we will have your dedicated title specialist contact you.

Question:

To register cars in fl fr ny, do i have to send the actual title? or is scan ok? how long until my fl plates arrive in ny? is identity info secure?

Answer:

Hi Newto, you're information is indeed secure as we use 256-bit encryption on our applications. If you want to be issued Florida plates, the vehicle has to be titled in Florida (unless you are active duty military or the vehicle has lien). If the vehicle is not already titled in Florida and in your name, you must complete a title transfer along with your new Florida registration/plate request and send in the title you have which will be essentially discarded and replaced with a new Florida title. If the vehicle is already titled in Florida and in your name, you can request just Florida plates and you will not be required to send in the title. We hope this information helps.

Answer:

Hi Newto, thanks for your question. Yes, it absolutely is. We use some of the highest level of encryption to protect your information and only in-house, trained agents can view the pertinent information. We hope that information helps and we look forward to serving you.

Question:

Have anyone ever got a replacement title from etags and if so so they send the actual title in mail and what information is needed to get it.

Answer:

Hi Stanley, we know you are looking for a response from someone other than eTags but, since we are here, we thought we would chip in with an answer. If your vehicle is titled in Florida, we send you the title in the mail and require a copy of owner's ID to be uploaded to our secure system. This is required to confirm that the owner of the vehicle, or someone authorized by the owner, is the one requesting the title. If your vehicle is titled in California, we submit your request for the duplicate title to the DMV and the DMV will mail you the title to the mailing address on file and we mail you the new registration card and sticker that is issued with any new/duplicate title. We do not need to obtain a copy of your ID for a California duplicate title. We do not currently offer duplicate title service in any other state. We hope that information helps and we look forward to the opportunity to serving you.

Question:

Yes i just bought a car from my neigbor need to register it in my name and get a tag

Answer:

Hi Dephanie, if you are titling and registering the vehicle you just bought in California (go to https://www.etags.com/app/ca/transfer?utm_source=sitejabber) or Florida ( go to https://www.etags.com/app/fl/title/transfer?utm_source=sitejabber), eTags can help you with processing that transaction without going to the DMV. If you need to title and register the vehicle in any other state, you will need to go in to your local DMV office with the title your neighbor signed over to you as well as your ID and proof of insurance. Each state is different so we recommend checking the state DMV website or calling in to assure you have a list of all the items that will be needed. We hope that helps and congratulations on your new car purchase.

Question:

Im in the process of transfer the title now with your company. how long will it take to have everything transferred, registered, and tag in hand?

Answer:

Hi Micaela, thanks for your question and for placing an order with eTags. The processing time can very based on how long it takes for us to get the document copies via upload or email, the original title by mail, and payment of DMV fees. If everything is received promptly, you can have tags (and title if without lien) in hand within 8 days from the time the order is placed. We want to stress though that any delays in receiving the required documents will add delays to processing time. We hope that helps and please do not hesitate to contact us directly by phone or email with any additional or specific questions about your transfer.

Hi Bryan, The cost depends on which state your vehicle is registration in or which state you need to register your vehicle if it needs new plates. New plates compared to renewals are more expensive.
