I'm in a similar situation as you. My normal "happy weight" is 113-115 and I gained 15 lbs of stress weight last year that I've been struggling to get rid of. I'm in Day 4 of this diet now and I've lost 6.2 lbs! I'm sure it will start to slow down but yes, this definitely works even if you don't have a lot to lose.
I wasn't sure at first, but I started days 12-21 and I used it for the first 1 or 2 meals and had regular food (watching carb grams) for the other 1 or 2 meals. I lost a few pounds on this phase, but did the best on the first 7 day phase. I feel like it reset my eating habits - which is what I was hoping for. Good luck!
Hi. The first 11 days you can only drink water - a gallon a day - it sounds like a lot, but you feel less hungry. After that you can drink coffee - they actually say it is good to drink coffee in the morning. I don't usually drink milk so I don't recall if it is allowed after that for days 12-21. But please don't let that discourage you because it's only been 4 days I've lost 7 lbs. and I'm not really heavy to begin with.
You may be eating too little, or the quality of the food you are eating isn't there, or you are not eating the correct micronutrients for you metabolic type. Did you follow the diet religiously or did you have some cheats? Also this book is meant for healthy people, so if you have hormonal imbalances, you may need to fix those first
