Terrible, cheap products, they answer you emails quickly until it is a complaint and then nothing. The shoes I ordered are nothing like the picture and are very uncomfortable.

I ordered and paid for shoes which took about two months to arrive. They were the wrong size and the wrong colour from what I ordered and when I queried this, I was advised that I had to, pay the return freight to get a refund.

Ordering is easy and shipping is always free. Our package arrived 3 business days after we placed our order. The shoes came in a very sleek black box with white lining. It also comes with a pretty welcome notice and very clear return instructions, plus a receipt packing slip it. Phone support is available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT. The lightning-fast live chat is also available during these times, or you can choose to email customer support instead.

SCAM. READ THE FINE PRINT. Charges $80 per month if you are a member and do not wish to skip a month in your account settings. So sneaky and such bs.

I was told that if I forgot to skip a month, then I would be charged the $80. But then I was also told that I could use that money on ANYTHING! Today I find out that it can't be used on sale items? And the "free shipping", even if you are a member, doesn't apply if an item is on sale? I have $180 in credits with these people. They will only let me use $20 on a pair of shoes. I just want my money back. Their shoes aren't very nice anyway.

Tip for consumers:
Beware.

I bought one pair of shoes Oct 2012 -- cute shoes, but very cheaply made and damaged quickly. Then, today (Aug 2013), I find out that for the past three months (note, this began about 6 months AFTER I purchased my first pair), ShoeMint has been charging me $80 per month in "credits"! There was no agreement I made with them since my last purchase, and if I received any notification (along with their other monthly spam), it was not well-marked enough to warrant attention. When I called the company, they agreed to refund the most recent month's charges, but nothing more. I am currently disputing the other charges with my credit card company. STAY AWAY!

The membership requirement is ridiculous and difficult to get cancelled. They were supposed to have deactivated my membership last month but I was still charged $80 this month.

I don't understand the point of their billing system other than they hope to get money from people who forget to skip one month and don't want to make a purchase. I don't think its a good business model when people feel forced to make a purchase.

I also have not been very impressed with the quality of the shoes given their price points.

Honestly, everyone who complains about the repeated charges on every month haven't read. Hell, I'm blind and miss things but even I saw that customers get charged on the 5th of every month and must cancel before the 4th (something like that). It's not GLARING but it's there and it's half most people will forget and probably incur charges and half clear.

I ordered a pair of shoes in size 5, they were on sale and I had a credit from JewelMint (I'll get to that too). They also threw in some free rollerball fragrances that I didn't want but was a promo during the time I ordered. I received the shoes and they were way too big - about 1 size. This happens to me once in a while where size 5's are more like size 6's. So knowing this, ShoeMint is basically excluded from my possible options. They have free returns (unlike some other places) but you have to contact customer service to request a label. They replied in about two days, not the worst of service and I shipped my package including the rollerballs back to them. About six days later AFTER the package arrived at their warehouse, JewelMint was having a promo and I noticed they hadn't issued a credit so I called them. They promptly offered me a credit and everything was fine but I'm curious if I hadn't called them, whether a refund in credit would have been been issued or if it would have taken much longer.

In any event, understand the terms of this kind of site. Their customer service is fine, they're courteous and get back to you if you have issues but since their shoes are too big and I'm wary about returns I personally won't shop but the pair I received were actually decent quality for the price.

SO frustrated! I wish I would have read all of these other reviews before I ordered shoes from shoe mint. I was under the impression (because I read this on their site) that they would notify you with an email when it came time to make your first purchase as a preferred member, but you could skip your first month and then also cancel any at any time. If I had known the truth, I would have never purchased cheaply made shoes, as I hate programs like this.
Well the email to either skip or purchase your first month never came and all of a sudden I saw a $79 charge to my account. I emailed shoemint and asked for a refund. I was told that I had 5 days to opt out of my purchase for that month and didn't, so they will NOT give me my money back. And apparently I can also not cancel?! What a total scam! They're practically stealing from people. And I cannot return my shoes because I through the box away (unfortunately), but even if I wanted to, they charge a $10 fee if you return! I have never heard of this! Stay away from this site and their cheap shoes!

What a terrible experience I've had! I bought the shoes which were poorly made and the strap buckled on my foot. Trying to return them and get my money back? What a disaster!
They didn't mail me a return label but instead send it via email when I specifically said that I did not have a printer and that finding one would be an issue. I paid with my credit card and Shoemint refused to refund my credit card and instead decided to send me a check (I'm still waiting weeks later so they probably never sent it). Lastly, the amount they supposedly sent by check (email confirmation) is less than the amount I paid! You are better off buying shoes in a store rather than Shoemint.com. I regret I ever dealt with them.

I am so upset with this shady site. It is true what everyone has said about the sneaky membership fees that are charged to your account without knowing. I have been charged $80 a month without my knowing. I am currently disputing the fees and hoping that I get all of my money back and have put in a request to immediately cancel my membership, although judging by the previous comments canceling is next to impossible to do? I have a popular lifestyle blog and will be sharing this information with the masses. Such poor business.

ShoeMint used to be great, I bought a fantastic pair of boots last year, but there quality has drastically reduced since then. I recently purchased 3 pairs of shoes and when they arrived there was something wrong with all 3 pairs! Scuff marks or a corrosive substance had been dripped on the toes of one pair, the material being so badly attached to the sole of the shoe that it buckled in a terrible way on another pair, and the discoloration of leather on the last pair that there were big grey stripes on nude colored leather. If there was only 1 pair with a problem I could see it as maybe an accidental slip, but 3 pairs? I cancelled my account.

I understand getting charged $80 if you don't log on by the 5th of each month to 'skip the month' (bogus, but it is what it is), but I think it's ridiculous to take away your money-credits if you haven't purchased from them in a year. That's not rewarding customer loyalty... That's called STEALING! First, they don't have great styles--so it can take a while to find something you want. Second, they don't always carry my half-size, so I can't always order what I like... and I check this site ALOT. Third, though they claim free returns, if you send something back you're charged a 'restocking fee'... like, $7. THAT IS NOT FREE RETURNS! Fourth, sale items are not always eligible for free shipping. Fifth, sale items are usually final sale--whether they fit you or not. Bottom line, this site started out with great shoes, went downhill fast, AND the number of rules to take your money are bogus--just STRICTLY GEARED TO TAKE YOUR MONEY. Companies who 'value their customers' do not structure their site to engage in these types of practices. One rule, maybe... but this, I'm sorry--is just too much back-door fine print. Save yourself the trouble and cancel NOW. And then (like me), post it on FB and every site you can to let people know. HIGHWAY ROBBERY!

Do I love ShoeMint? It's not bad. It's not quite like having unlimited shoes from Nordstrom or anything crazy like that. But the shoes are not bad (I have no idea why Rachel Bilson advertises for them but maybe they pay her a lot!). One thing I can say for sure is that I end up buying more shoes than I probably would normally would want because it's kind of a pain in the butt to mail back the shoes I don't want. But then again maybe it prevents me from buying more other shoes from other stores... I don't know the answer to that one.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! I ordered my first pair about 6 months ago and they arrived scuffed. I contacted customer service, emailed them photos of the damage and was given a 30% off discount code to use towards my next purchase. No one offered to replace the pair or offer a discount. Being aware of the monthly membership and credit situation, I skipped all months, waiting for something I liked in order to use my 30% discount. Well low and behold the discount they offered for sending me a damaged shoe only works on full priced items! What a scam! I contacted customer service and had the misfortune of dealing with a very rude and disinterested rep that told me there was nothing they could do. So therefore I never really got any compensation for a faulty order. Mind you, the quality is NOT worth paying full price for. Now to make matters worse, I attempted to skip this previous month on the 5th and there was no option. I logged in 2 days later and I did not have any credits nor any charge to my credit card. I contacted customer service yet again to make sure my account had successfully skipped the month and suddenly, there appeared the $80 "credit" in the midst of the conversation and the rep said once again that there was nothing they could do to reverse it. I told him I wanted to cancel my account and was informed that I should use the credit up before doing so. No one attempted to keep my business or try to rectify the situation. So I placed my last order ever with my $80 credit and that is the last dime this site will ever see from me.
Now to add insult to injury it has been 6 days since I placed that order; they have already helped themselves to my money, but there has been no shipment to date. Contacted customer service again was was told its usually takes 2-3 days and should ship soon. Goodbye.
STAY AWAY from this site! It is a money pit with sub-par products that can be purchased most other places for about 50%-60% off what Shoemint charges.

Stay stay stay away! They charge you $80 a month to "be a member of their club". They call it your "credit' so you can shop. Complete bull $#*!! Trying to scam people out of money. Upsetting that they put a celebrity endorsement to try and draw you in to this awful scam.

I ordered a pair of shoes in November and that was a breeze. They came on time and I had no problems. However, the whole membership-charge thing is real and very irritating. I noticed that I would get charged $79.98 the next month if I did not opt out within the first few days. I checked again (later in November) and saw that I would not be charged since I made a purchase. For some reason, I assumed this applied to December so I stopped worrying about the whole membership thing. But, I checked my bank account this past weekend and well what do you know, they charged me $79.98 - they didn't even send me an e-mail to let me know this was going to happen. Do they just think people will remember? They should send reminder e-mails. I tried calling their phone number several times but did not go through. I finally got to talk to a representative through their live chat - the only thing that is reliable on this site. Unfortunately, I was not able to get a refund for the membership charge but was able to cancel my account. I strongly advise you to think twice about purchasing from this site. If you really want to, make sure you remember to opt out of their membership program between the 1st and 6th of every month. Since today is the 9th, I was not able to do so and would not get a refund.

This site is a joke... they really deserve negative stars. I placed an order for a pair of shoes and my credit card was charged immediately. After 3 weeks of hearing nothing from them I decided to contact customer care to inquire about my order. Customer care informed me that the item was not available and that they would refund my card right away. The refund appeared shortly after. 3 days later, another charge of $79.98 appears on my card from shoemint. I assume I somehow got signed up for their membership monthly charge. However I show no credits in my account and my account clearly states I am not opted into the membership and my "card won't be charged". This site is an absolute scam! I had to contact THEM to get a refund for shoes they didn't have in stock but chose to keep my money in exchange nothing, and now I'm disputing another charge for more of NOTHING. Don't fall for the scam.

If I could give it negative stars, I would. I ordered a pair of shoes in August 2012. They were cheaply made and I only wore them once. Then, just this past month I notice a random $80 charge to my credit card from shoemint. Thinking it was a mistake, or that someone stole my info, I go onto the site - for the first time in a year - only to see that I have been charged $80 a month for 5 months. I've for $400 in these "credits" which expire, can only be used on non-sale merchandise, are non-refundable, and only apply to purchases made in exact "credit" denominations. Want a hideous, poorly made sweater, too bad! It's $40 (Probably work $0.50) and since it doesn't cost a full credit, they're going to charge your card again. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS SITE! It is the worst shopping experience I have ever had and I sincerely hope they go out of business soon.

When you sign up you are told that you are now a "Preferred Member". Unfortunately, they don't explain what that means. For those wondering, it means that they will charge you every month, regardless of whether or not you're buying anything. That is, unless you sign in every month to click a button saying you would like to opt out that month. In none of the 60 emails that I received (you will receive roughly 5 every week) was it clear that I needed to log in and opt out of anything. Even if you call them on the day of the charge they will not refund your money. Oh, and they'll make you hold for 15min before you even get to talk to anyone.

I signed up for a "free membership" so I could purchased a pair of shoes from ShoeMint on 4/22/13 not being informed anything about monthly membership fees. When I was charged the first unexpected membership fee on 5/5/13 (AND not to mention, a $35 overdraft fee from my bank due to insufficient funds) ShoeMint customer service rep, "Connie H" brought to my attention that I had misunderstood the policy and that I could cancel my account but my $79.98 credit would remain available to use for one year. I was also informed that if I put any additional charges to ShoeMint on my credit card, that my account would then be reactivated.

With that, I decided to make the best of the situation and use my ShoeMint credit towards another pair of shoes. I placed my order, NEVER ONCE providing them my credit card information|. Not only was I charged for the shoes, but I then received another unexpected membership charge of $79/. 98 to my checking account on 6/5/13 (followed by another $35 overdraft fee from my bank). This time, I worked with customer service rep "Hillary" who informed me that I could not put my credit towards any item that is not equal to the EXACT amount of the credit ($79.98) or ANY sale item. I was therefore responsible for paying for the second pair of shoes, however despite this ridiculous policy, Hillary so kindly refunded my money for the membership fee and assured me this would not happen again. At no point in time did I EVER intend to continue my membership with ShoeMint. I was only trying to USE MY CREDIT and never had any intention whatsoever to reactivate my account.

On 7/5/13 I was charged a THIRD unexpected membership fee of $79.98 and was told by "Connie H" that I had reactivated my account by purchasing the second pair of shoes and refused to issue me a refund. I insisted to speak with her supervisor, who later contacted me, offered a refund for the membership fee and closed my ShoeMint account permanently.

I have read countless online consumer forums complaining about similar scenarios, however hardly any of them were so fortunate as to receive any of their money back. If I had not been issued either of my refunds, I would have been absolutely LIVID. After all the hassle over the past 4 months, I do not intend to buy any more shoes from ShoeMint. What I want is for ShoeMint to stop playing word games with their customers - their crooked business model is intentionally deceitful and dishonest.

My advice to those who have been screwed out of your money by ShoeMint (or any of the "Mints" for that matter) - KEEP FIGHTING!
