I've purchased flights many times via Priceline. Never once did I have to cancel my flight. I recently purchased a ticket... with trip protection. I made a request to cancel my flight a few days later from the date purchased.
The system to get your money refunded isn't as simple as it is to pay. Why is it easy to pay but complex to get your money back.
Priceline is linked with an insurance company AON.
BEWARE:
If you pay for trip protection you must put in a claim to AON and wait for a response.
So sad... Very very disappointed in the system. I want my money back all at once, the same way I paid. Priceline wants to pay back a portion and I must seek the remaining funds from a company I've never heard of.
What is going on. Is this how you do business Priceline. Please let this be your warning!
