We rented our car weeks in advance of our trip to PHX. When we got to the desk to get our car we were told there were no cars available for 2 hours. There must have been 4 families ahead of us that were told the same thing. No explanation as to why there were no cars even though we all had a reservation paid for in advance. The fellow at the desk was not helpful at all and told folks they could go look elsewhere for a rental if they wanted. Folks with small children were at their wits end. To travel to PHX expecting to get on your way and then be told nothing but wait for 2 hours to get a car is unacceptable service. Although the price was fair in todays situation, it should and could have been handled much better than it was. This was a Thrifty Car Rental at PHX airport May 20 till June 4. A partial refund would be the way to go for this situation. Felt we were in a Seinfeld episode where they can take your reservation, but don't have have a car for you.
