Late Hotel Cancellation notice
I made a hotel booking early February 2018 and made 2 payments already but today 27 June I received an email that the hotel has been cancelled due to booking issues. They offered an alternative hotel no where near the class of Hilton I had originally booked.
I had to make several emails and calls to get the correct response that the money will be refunded to me by Alpharooms.
I called Hilton and they advised me the hotel was cancelled on 28 February. Yet Alpharooms took 4 months before informing me today!
I ended up paying a lot more by rebooking direct with Hilton. Alphatooms said they will not offer any compensation.
Beware of this tactic they play to force you to accept a much cheaper hotel at the same price you paid by warning you very late of cancellation when you have booked other holiday essentials like air ticket and taxi etc.
I will not be using Alpharooms any longer and will be informing anyone l know of my experience with them.
Use other travel agents.
