My wife and I hated our first experience at Amazon Fresh and we will not be back. They built a new store in our area and so we went for the first time to see what Amazon Fresh was all about. Amazon had mailed us a discount coupon to encourage us to try the store and so we decided to give it a try.

Once we got to the store we used the amazon app to enter the store, and then we picked up what we wanted to purchase. Then on the way out we scanned the coupon Amazon sent us and the code in our app so that we could exit. But upon exiting we didn't get a receipt.

I asked an employee where the receipt was and they said that they don't give us a receipt at the store. I told them that I always check the receipt to verify that I was charged correctly and in this case, that the coupon we used was applied correctly. They said that they could not give me a receipt there in the store that eventually Amazon would send me a receipt. The employee explained that I can get the receipt much later and if I see a problem then I can come back to the store to correct it. What a waste of time. I have no idea why amazon thinks this is a good way to do business. For me, it's not which is why I wont' be back.

Since I couldn't get a receipt to verify the purchases and that my coupon was applied correctly I asked for a refund. But the employee said, "we can't give you a refund without a receipt." I'm like, what! You didn't give me a receipt and yet you're telling me I can't check to verify you charged me correctly and I can't get a refund because you didn't give me a receipt?! And the employee said "exactly." How ridiculous is it?! This was our first and last time at Amazon Fresh.

We booked a reservation and decided to cancel within a day. Their customer service said that this property came from another site, which I don't understand since it was on the VRBO site and there was no reference to any other site.

I read the cancellation policy carefully and it did not say that the property was being booked from a different platform and that I would need owner approval for a cancellation I had every right to make according to VRBO. The cancellation policy gave us months to cancel with a 100% refund. That's what the cancellation policy said and that's what should happen.

Instead, I can't cancel unless the owner approves it and I'm still waiting for that approval. Unbelievable. Clearly the cancellation policy that VRBO states on the property page was a lie. It's never been so difficult to cancel. With so many other great platforms, I'm done with VRBO.

Tip for consumers:
There are many other great platforms out there that we can use instead of VRBO. I should have looked at reviews before working with them. Here on sitejabber and also on yelp VRBO only has one star out of five. You can't get any worse than that.

My wife and I haven't been able to figure out why the Netflix streaming is so bad especially when the other streaming platforms are so good on our 4k TV. I just found out that Netflix has different streaming quality plans we're only getting SD (480) because we have the Basic plan. The quality of the streaming is AWFUL. We thought it was our internet for a while because we couldn't imagine that Netflix would stream at such low quality.

But then after comparing to the other streaming platforms, we noticed that they all looked great on our TV and realized it must be a Netflix issue and so I googled it today and found out that because we're on the basic plan we only get the SD quality I mentioned above. If we want better looking movies on our TV then we have to pay for it by upgrading to Standard for full HD (1080p) for $13.99 or Premium for 4k quality for the cost of $17.99.

EVERY other platform out there gives high quality streaming for one price and most are far less than what you have to pay Netflix to get that same quality.

I never heard of such a thing and we're not willing to pay more to get the high quality we should be getting. There are so many other great streaming platforms giving us high quality streaming for far less money that we've decided to cancel Netflix. I refuse to let them take advantage of us.
