On Jan. 5, I purchased 2 tickets to the college football championship game in Phoenix as a gift for my brother in Tucson. Upon printing out the receipt, I saw that he would need to show photo id to pick up tickets at the stadium will call. In asking for my brother's name to appear on the tickets your representative was very helpful and refered me to the ticket seller, Events on Tap, ticketoption.com, Randy Kushner, president. This is where my troubles began.
After leaving 2 e-emails and phone calls (none of which were answered) I finally reached him the next day. He was rude, uncooperative... and throughout the process, virtually inaccessible. He said I would need to fill out and return a credit card authorization form, which he e-mailed to me, along with a copy of my driver's license and credit card. When I said I didn't really like that, he said if I wanted my brother's name on the tickets that that is his policy and I didn't have a choice. Not wanting to disappoint my brother, I did as he said and faxed the information to him on Jan. 6. On the 7th, I got his e-mail stating that the Will Call will not be at the venue but in the lobby of the Renaissance Phoenix Hotel. Representatives of his company would be there 2 hours before the game with the tickets. On the 10th at 9:32 p.m.(the evening before the game) another e-mail came with the tickets attached, to be printed out and be scanned at the stadium. The tickets were not the seats I had bought. He had substituted two other seats without my knowledge or permission. Though they were slightly better seats, they were on the opponents side of the field. When I saw this change, I tried to contact him and never got a response of any kind. I spent the entire day of the game not knowing if my brother and nephew were even going to get through the gate. They did but there they were... 2 Alabama fans sitting in a sea of Clemson Orange.
It turned out ok in the end but I (and my 79 year old brother and nephew) spent days of agony not knowing what was going to happen. I think the tickets were never going to be picked up in Phoenix so putting my brother's name on the tickets was not necessary. However, I should have been made aware of this in the beginning. There was certainly no need for Mr. Kushner to have my personal information. This morning I canceled my credit card which is going to cause me considerable inconvenience.
This has been the most harrowing experience I have ever had in obtaining tickets. If this is the caliber of client Ticket Network has, I will never use them again. Something about Randy Kushner' s methods of operation stinks to high heaven.
