HORRIBLE administration attention to URGENT MATTERS for repairs on anything! Currently this place has some sort of broken water pipe which has created a GNAT INFESTATION in the dining room AND all over the bldg. Administration people dont seem overly concerned to of IMMEDIATELY found proper company to come FIX THE PROBLEM and as of June 2016, its 3 wks a problem STILL NOT FIXED. Doors to dining room are closed but NOT SEALED OFF IN ANY WAY to prevent gnats from going all over the bldg. Staff is supposedly 'hand washing all food prep items by HAND' and is serving meals in Styrofoam containers /with plastic utensils so they do NOT have to be washed/sanitized. My question is: if the plates and utensils cant be properly washed/disinfected, EXACTLY HOW CLEAN IS THE KITCHEN WHERE ANY FOOD IS PREPARED or the UTENSILS/POTS etc needed to cook food anyway? I notice the OFFICE STAFF does not eat the food this kitchen prepares but feel its 'just FINE to serve residents".
My family member is there, and if i could bring this family member HOME, I would... and note as well, we PAY PRIVATELY for care (not one cent is thru insurance/Medicaid as are so many of the residents).
State officials and local health depts drag their feet as well in inspecting AND enforcing that the facility be properly maintained OR fining them on a daily basis until repairs can be done CORRECTLY.
The only GOOD thing about this place is the attention given to residents by the CNA's, nurses and other staff that has DAILY HANDS ON EXPERIENCE with each patient. Administration here turns a blind eye to issues and no one is actually CONCERNED enough to take responsibility in locating PROPER IMMEDIATE REPAIR company to come fix major issues for the facility. The maintenance staff is overwhelmed in just trying to keep things running in such an old bidg and they DO all they can to keep things going, but THEY are not able to fix major bldg. Issues.
Unless you have to use this place (as WE DO due to financial constraints and the outrageous costs at ALL facilities), DONT PUT ANYONE HERE THAT YOU CARE ABOUT.
NOT ONE PATIENT FAMILY MEMBER has been notified that the bldg. Even HAS a problem... I know because I GO THERE weekly and see the things going on.
If i could give a MINUS rating, i would.

Ordered AC unit on May 31, called on Jun 1 to cancel the order. Was told it had already shipped and could NOT be cancelled, i would have to wait for the item to be delivered THEN return it using the enclosed UPS label. NO ONE told me AT ANY TIME that there was a charge BY UPS to me to return anything, nor that HSN had (supposedly) 'waived' the return fee THEY also charge. ($10.40 to UPS and $9.95 MSN fee, so in total it WOULD of been $20 to actually NOT get a thing). I am told by UPS that their fee is for PICK UP of the item, which is much to heavy for me to move box much less put into my car and take to UPS store. HSN claims they DID waive their return fee... this remains to be seen once they process the refund (approximately 7-15 days they told me. Funny how they can CHARGE my card immediately for the item, but cant refund THE DAY THEY TAKE DELIVERY OF THE RETURN and immediately CREDIT MY CARD.). HSN rep PATTY hung up on me when i TRIED to explain to her that UPS was charging me for pickup which i was NOT told by anyone at HSN they would do. Interesting side note, UPS rep (who was VERY professional and polite AND informative) told me i could of just REFUSED the order when driver came with it, since i was HERE at the time. That way, there would of NOT been a charge by UPS to me at all.
I ll not be ordering anything ever from HSN again... they are fast to take your money and slow to explain in FULL, their return/cancellation polices and i find THAT totally unacceptable business practice.
