DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! It is a scam. They will sign you up for a VIP membership automatically if you choose to buy something at a reduced price for the first time with them. They sneaked in $40 for a membership without making the option obvious in the fist place!
I called and asked to cancel it because there is no option to do so online, of course! I was so mad that I wanted to cancel the purchase as well since I had just placed the order, and just delete my account, my info, everything, and just forget I fell for this scam in the first place. However, I couldn't cancel my purchase, as the saff on the phone said, because that was a separate department and I have to wait to receive my order to return it. So i just asked to cancel the VIP membership and delete my card for their file. They refunded me the money within a few hours and assured me this will never happen again and that they have deleted my credit card. I took that as reassuring and enough.
However, 30 days later on November 7th, 2014, they charged me the membership again. Unbelievable! Of course, it was a Friday night when the debit payment happened so I couldn't call them until Monday because they are closed over the weekend for customer service. So I went to my bank immediately to research what to do when a business abuses your information. The bank contacted their fraud department and I received a completely new cards and account. They are still looking into this company though so it is not over.
Now, three days after on Monday I called and got through to someone at adoreme.com after a long 15 min wait and explained again what the problem is. The lady on the phone said "we do not have on record that you called and asked for a refund". And that's when I figured out how they are scamming people! I read in a review here that they have done this to other people, pretended they do not have on record that people asked for their money back, kept their credit card numbers and used them again without consent. I wonder is this fraud? Does anyone know? I've reported them to my bank and provided ll the details.
Anyways, I got a refund again. But I know this will happen again. Lucky for me I closed the bank account connected to the card they have on file, and changed the card number as well.
I am still thinking of passing on this info to the authorities. I'm convinced this company is is committing fraud.

The VIP Membership is one of two payment options you select during checkout with your first order (the other is Pay As You Go, our one-time purchase option). The terms and conditions of membership are stated twice during checkout, once more in the membership confirmation email, in the two reminder emails before the fifth and in numerous locations on the site.
