Nearly every project is spam. For example, a typical project might be a college student requesting you do their semester thesis in the next 4 hours for $12USD.
Or... you'll be the last in a long chain of fools who is trying to do the work which a failing company decided to out-source in order to magically avoid paying the legitimate cost of simply doing a good job from the outset.
It's amazing how low a race to the bottom can go!
