I tried to send $100 to a friend in Ghana who needed it urgently. I have done this before with no problem. This time Xoom first notified me that the money had reached my friend's bank, then a day later the transaction was cancelled, with no reason given.
A call to customer service yielded the following unacceptable answer: "Our bank partner did not give a reason for the cancellation."
Was it because the transfer was to Ghana? If so, that's absolutely disgusting! Do not use Xoom. It is a terrible service.
