My relationship started off pretty rocky when they first launched. I had the SimpsonifyMe shop for a couple of years, it was going pretty great and I was very proud of it. Suddenly I received a message that they trademarked my shops name and I have to close down my shop because I was violating their trademark. It was very upsetting, and yes I know, I should have trademarked it in the first place but I was a rookie and I had no money to do an international trademark. So they had a pretty good start with a pretty good name, that was already familiar to customers, and had a good reputation. But what followed was just disgusting. I saw google, facebook, and instagram advertising for their company, and they used MY illustrations with completely made up reviews. I contacted them multiple times but they refuse to remove them and they want ME to prove that those are my original works. They say, that they got those illustrations from a "sourcing agent". And then proceeded to put a fake review up and advertise themselves with it. Completely fake. Anyways, I got tired of trying to prove them what's mine is mine so I stopped communication with them, but I still receive so many upset customer messages (because I still own the SimpsonifyMe instagram account and they do not reply to their customers emails). What they tell me is just pure customer service horror. I am so upset that this name that I came up with became so tainted, and it is horrible to see how they treat their customers. They go by_cartoonifyme_ on instagram now. Shame on these people really... They got such a bad reputation (I think) that they changed their name to CartoonifyMe. If you type in simpsonifyme.com you get redirected to their new website. Ridiculous..
