I need new covers for some seat cushions, and Slipcovershop lets you look at fabric swatches and order some to examine at home. They have a "swatches" tab on their site that shows you all the fabrics.

After selecting several for sample swatches and waiting quite a while for them to arrive (at least a week), I selected one and logged in to place my order... only to find that the fabric wasn't available.

It wasn't out of stock; it was NEVER offered for the products I was trying to order. And now they want to charge for more swatches (the first four are free), after letting customers waste a week and their free allocation on fabrics that aren't available.

In an online chat, their representative simply repeated the fact that the fabric is only available for one limited set of products, and offered no apology or excuse for the fact that the site deliberately wastes your time. She didn't even offer to provide another four free swatches. Just a smug blow-off of offensive behavior.

Don't waste your time on this site. You'll find basically nothing available in average sizes.

And if you do bother to spend your time picking through the few available items... you likely won't be able to buy them. Asos's log-in system is defective, and so far they haven't been able to figure out why. You'll set up your account, and immediately their log-in page will reject your password. So then you request a password reset... but the reset E-mail is never sent (and no, it's not being filtered as spam).

And to compound that incompetence: There's no way to check out as a guest. So you CAN'T buy from the site. Now that's pretty pathetic.

But there's more. The site is full of dead-ends. For example, that log-in page: If you can't log in, Asos just leaves you sitting there. There's no "contact us" or help link offered. Seriously?

Tip for consumers:
Avoid.

None of the displayed prices on the site is correct. At the last moment, as you complete your transaction, these scammers slap a $15 "service fee" on your order.

This is a MAIL-ORDER SITE. There is no physical store that you can visit to pick up the flowers yourself, and therefore there is no excuse for a "service fee." It is impossible to decline this "service" and still obtain the product, making every price displayed on For You Flowers a LIE.

AVOID.
