Bad customer service. Brinks is a crooked and devious business!
If you have an issue (like the alarm going off for no reason) you will be on hold for a long time trying to get help (30 minutes plus). I pay a year in advance for monthly monitoring (pay for 11 months, get the 12th month free.) Last May I get a bill and the price went up significantly from $243 a year to $252! Subsequently I found another monitoring company.
I called brinks on May 28,2022 to cancel service. My yearly service was to end June 27,2022. The call was made in advance to my paid up service; the new service started June 8 and before the paid Brinks service ended.
Recently I checked my credit report (Dec. 2022) and I see that a collection company: Hillcrest and Davidson put a $47 amount on my credit report, that I owed. I had no idea what this was for, so I call them and they told me it was Brinks. It makes no sense. I have a statement dated June 16,2022 that I owe $47.49 (with a $5 late fee).
Stay away from this company. Even the rep I talked to said she hears my same complaint all the time.
