I paid for 1 month of Premium Membership because I was interested in access to references, which otherwise did not appear on the Care.com website. Once I paid, I discovered there was no such feature at all. Everything else they claimed as exclusive membership benefits was freely available on the site. It may have been because the sitter I was interested in had a Premium Membership, but the point is, it was freely available to me. Care.com refused to refund my fee even though the service I was interested in did not exist, and my credit card company sided with them in the dispute because they actually say in their TOS, in the non-refundable clause, that they won't refund your money even if they don't provide what you are paying for. That makes their business model a scam, in my book. I'm attaching the screenshots I took to make my case. I don't hold it against my credit card company, and it's not a lot of money, but please be aware that you may get nothing for your money and you won't get your money back and it will be perfectly legal, because it's in their TOS.
