There are a lot of negative reviews about this site, but I have a positive one.
Thanks to Zoosk, I met an amazing man. He's a real gentleman. I went in 10 dates on approximately 2 1/2 months. I was very frustrated and tired of the interviews but, finally I found my dream man.
My best advise? Be cautious! And not give up!
Well, it was just couple days after I signed for my subscription I meet a wonderful man.
I love him very much...
This was the first online dating site that i've used so to be fair I don't have anything to compare my review to. There were some aspects to this site that I did not care for which would probably keep me from using it again in the future or recommending it to someone else. I did not like that people you've made connections with are alerted when you go online. There is an option to go invisible but I'm sure this costs extra. I also do not like that you have to accept or decline a chat request to be able to fully view your messages. I did not want to accept a chat request without seeing the message first. I eventually found a way around this but I do not see the point, it's annoying and obnoxious. That being said, I am glad that I subscribed to the site because I did meet someone whom I have a lot in common with and whose company I enjoy- I may have just gotten lucky!
It is mostly computer generated messages and views to keep you interested, if you try to contact some one, just saying Hello, it does not matters, they keep viewing your profile every day but dont respond! ROBOTS, and then the occasional super hot lady agrees to meet you, When you reach out they invite you to a chat that is of course computer generated and very short anwers or questions coming from the "Lady" on the other side. Just Dont waste your money, I did cancel and they send me an email so I have proof, so I don't think the will charge me again. Jerry from Tampa
What really is misleading if you sign up and pay with your credit card. It's all the deceptive
Ways they go about having you cancel. It's like jumping through these hoops because haha
We have your credit card... And really they know what they are doing... it's money. Stay away! Unless you like giving away money...
Thanks for reading
Kem
I recommend Zoosk over any other sites, whether paid or free. I prefer quality over quantity and day.
First off, I do believe Zoosk is a legitimate site. Although I haven't gone out with any women, I have chatted with a few. Nothing has led me to believe that any of them were bogus profiles.
Zoosk boats millions of members. But the REAL problem is in the number of abandoned profiles. I did a search within 50 miles of my location and Zoosk returned 269 different profiles. Pretty darn good, eh? NO! Of those profiles, only 34 appeared to be active. The rest? Who knows, but they haven't been attended to nor ever deleted. That means that nearly 87% of the profiles on Zoosk are a total waste of time as the users are long gone.
A couple of examples:
Some profiles start out saying "I am 49 years old and...". Yet, Zoosk states their age as 54.
Some photographs have the digital date stamps on them. Many I saw were 4-6 years old. One profile I saw had photos with digital date stamps of 2004 and 2005! So what you see is not what you'd be getting!
As a result, you'll need a shovel to dig your way through the deadwood. Even at 34 seemingly active profiles, a small few may remain once you pass by the Angus-sized beheffers. And good luck getting any of the good ones to reply.

Update 9-1-16: Another Thing I noticed.
The Zoozk "Boost" feature is an extra cost option which highlights your profile in several different fashions allowing you to receive many new views in a very short period of time (typically 1 hour). However, you need to be online to activate (pay) it. This would mark you as either "Currently online" or "Recently Online" in case you log off before your boost runs out.
It appears that if Zoosk isn't getting enough paying members to fill their boost, they just choose profiles at random. Again, you are being directed to dead profiles. Once you click onto a profile, it is not marked with either the "Currently Online" or "Recently Online" tags indicating the member never authorized or paid for the boost.
Found the perfect woman after only two days! Couldnt be happier!
Zoosk is a perfect online dating site! I found that most people on here are genuine and really looking for love! The site is very easy to use and there are a variety of people on here so there's something for everyone! This is not a hookup site so the people tend to be more mature and can actually hold a conversation. Not saying that you won't come across some creeps (can't help that), but if you are very selective you will find those who are looking for the same things as you are and possible more!
I met Carla and hit it off instantly with her. We are what Zoosk would call a success story Can I make a request and ask that you remove both of our profiles thanks, Pat Carla {worth the money}
I meet the person that I believe was a perfect match for me just when I was ready to cancel my subscription. It took a little patient.
It was great I found a great woman to be with and will not be needing this site anymore
Was happy to find someone with the same interests as me
I dont like the sound of "online dating"and joined the site for pure peer pressure. Met someone very special within 3 days and last weekend, after dating for 11 months, we are married. Him, his 2 kids... me and my 2 kids.
I thought i should say thanks here. :)
I've tried dating sites in the past, this one included, and I just haven't had any luck. But this time around things were much better with more matches and better connections. It's not perfect and it never will be but in a time were everything we as millennials do, see, touch, and feel is in the cyber universe, this site proved worthy.
After talking to person after person I finally met someone who makes me smile and I can't wait to hear his voice... Moving on to a new chapter in my life, and a happy one at that. Thank u zoosk and Brian for making me smile again
I joined this site previously when it was a Facebook app. It was average then.
Some years later I had occasion to use it again, but things have changed.
I would agree with other reviewers that by the way the search is set up, it makes it look like you are interested in people when you have had no option but to look at their profile as it is onscreen when you open the app.
There is no facility to suspend or take down your profile if you want a break, which to me is unfair. If I am paying for a service, I want to be able to have control of my own destiny, not be forced to be "on show" when I don't want to be.
At one point i deleted all of my profile and put up a message saying I was taking a short break from it, this was not approved by the administrators! Why not?, surely I should be allowed to put any message up I like as long as it isn't offensive or inappropriate? Apparently not!
You get messages saying someone has accepted your chat request when all you have done is view their profile and I know for a fact that the software is manipulated or set to make it look like people have looked at you when they have not.
I actually feel exploited on this site, which is not a nice feeling.
I will be trying to get a refund, but I have little hope of that.
Not impressed overall, and if I could give it no stars for a rating, I would!
I am fortunate to have met that special someone... but getting there was a struggle. Your network performance is at time so poor that it takes 10 minutes to exchange messages on your site. Not very spontaneous or lending itself to help to get to know someone.
Most of the people seemed to be truly looking for a relationship... Most of the people were respectful and there were some good catches... I liked the systems they use on zoosk... And I've met a really good guy... And I hope things will really work out well between us... So far... So Good...
Answer: These view are fake. Zoosk is lousy site! They obviously mislead their customers giving them fake likes and matches. You get instant bot auto-responses. I left to http://J4Love.net The result of my search there is incredibly awesome: I finally spent Christmas with my woman! I had wasted 11 months on Zoosk and then it took me just one month here to meet my perfect woman. Don't let Zoosk con you into their shady and phony "dating" kingdom. Zoosk is worthless, time is precious! The longevity of profiles is tremendous, they are there for years, obviously outdated.
Answer: The real matches are scant and located at distant places. The fake matches are abundant especially when your membership is about to end. It's phony. I met my girlfriend on http://J4Love.net This dating service is a lot better than Zoosk, Match, Tinder, etc. They are more professional with ethical approach to business - something that Zoosk lacks now. Zoosk used to be better couple of years ago, but now they suck.
Answer: ZOOSK, is a total RIPOFF
Answer: NO MA'AM IT IS NOT. In fact I only used the coins when I could get them for free. Under the system that's no longer possible. Nobody takes that sort of thing seriously, and for a woman it's even less relevant.
Answer: In the two months I have been on Zoosk. I have chatted with a number of woman, exchanged phone numbers and talked on the phone and I am just an average looking joe. I have also had times when I received a chat request and the person does not respond. You do have to pay to chat and the other person has to be a paid member. OK if your reading this there is one thing I found, if you search, only pay attention to the ones that say "recently online", the other ones may be fake or no longer active. It's a numbers game I have had many that did not respond to my messages also.
Answer: I believe it is. But how safe is the internet these days. Just don't be quick to give too much information too soon you will know when its right to share. Good luck
Answer: Not at all don't bother buying them just play some games u will get some
Answer: Chances are you're sending a message to someone that was a member long ago and isn't registered any longer. Zoosk is a total scam.
Answer: Unfortunatly not. You have to be a member. I suggest you don't try this site. It won't help you to find wat you're looking for. Cheers. R.
Answer: I can't believe you expect that! The whole idea is anonymity until people are comfortable with exchanging personal info.
