To prevent creating the impression -- even IF it's NOT reality -- that YB hopes first-time buyers DON'T take a 10% discount, I suggest you simply grant the 10% WITHOUT requiring newcomers FIRST to sign up for a newsletter or whatever else.
Let me also note that YB cannot REALLY build trust by first promising "FREE shipping on orders above $69", then breaking that promise -- as in my case -- by imposing a $9.85 "heavy freight" charge... and making this fakery obvious even to morons, by admitting that, yes, this charge is indeed for SHIPPING!
