I became a Pro member last year at a discounted rate. I didn't realize that my membership auto renews after one year at a rate that is 3 times the original rate ($360). They don't send you a reminder that the auto renewal is about to happen and they won't refund my money. Beware!
I was told from a woman names Lisa she would give me a code for a 30 day trial of what they call PRO. I filled in the form, asked for bank info. They charged me for a full year subscription, $359.88! I email, messaged for 5 days, no response, I sent a message the CEO Navid Razazi, nothing. I then went to Youpic.com and on my account I posted a list of reviews I got off the internet, then said, I want my money back. They ban my account. It's a scam, all of it. It's artist judging artist. No one makes money there unless your work for the company. Stay away!
I was hounded by LISA to upgrade... telling me how great my work was etc. Then i was offered premium free for a month. I am a member of other sites. I decided to give it a go. I put in the code but had selected pro by mistake, the code did not let me know it was not working. I was charged $487 canadian. I let them know as soon as i saw the charge on my card. 1st they completely ignored me, Then said they can not refund me. Then LISA said she can not refund me technically? I am proceeding with a dispute on my American express card but am totally disgusted with this company and it's refund policies. I will follow up. BE CAREFUL.
A great platform for freelance professional photographers to display their photos and benefit from the experience of others, and to choose the best photo from your point of view and see the number of views of your photo.
Lisa from YouPic wants to negotiate a price for my photos on my behalf for her clients but needs me to upgrade to a Pro membership. If this is true, then they would more than likely get my work for next to nothing because Lisa needs to please her clients and Lisa would get a Premium membership out of me plus the potential/existing client would have to join or already is a member of YouPic for a fee, so win/win/win for Lisa. With or without a pro membership, I should be allowed to negotiate a price for my work since it will be used commercially and a good potential for me to make probably at least a little more money with understanding how the picture would be used. Overall, I think this is just a ploy to get memberships. I have only been a part of YouPic for five months and the discount offers went from a free month of premium to 50% off per year, then 60% off per year and now 70% off per year. This makes me feel that the membership fee is very subjective and they just need to keep money rolling in. With Flickr, Deviant Art, Facebook, Model Mayhem and Instagram people get ahold of me direct for any use of any of my photos and we negotiate from there. I do not trust YouPic and will not be purchasing a Pro membership, they do not make sense and Lisa the sales rep seems to have a attitude as well, I screen shot in the attached pictures
Don't do it. I was approached via Linkedin to be a featured portfolio. I duly uploaded images and have now been locked out. Youpic have not responded to sorting it out. I am now wondering what my images are being used for. They also encourage you to upload HiRes images. Why a website needs HiRes raises concerns alone.
I paid the full annual amount to get a platform for my nude photos.
Then my account was deleted without informing me, or refunding me my paid amount.
In my eyes this is a clear fraud!

Never Ever Ever sign up for this platform.
They will send you coupons, usually Lisa, and if you actually sign up for one of them. They still charge. One said FREEPREMME and you'd get free premium for one year and then pay full price per year. The sign up price said $0.00. Then I get a charge for $100.88. They came back saying it was only a month free. Yet the charge amount said it was $0.00 when I signed up for the year.
Complete fraud. You won't sell anything and if you do, would you really trust them to send you the money if they're making fraudulent charges against you in the first place?
YouPic in general is a conservative mainstream pic site for herd of cattle socializing by sheeple who have no affinity with out of the box creatve photography. As for the photo admin, it is not even possible to delete more pics at once, it is that bad. Each time you delete a pic you are redirected to the "inpsiration" pic page, which is for real artistic creative photographers the least interesting portion of the site. As a new member you get stars, these are only given by the admin whose own gallery clearly shows that he is not a professional photographer at all, just a childish point shooter. After the tenth star that be it, unless you're a f-grade mobile phone point shooter. This site attracts folks who wanna gain points by socializing rather than by photography. That is my personal experience for over a year. Glad I quit.
I like this site. Because, we can upload my photos project, see photos of oder photographs and we can follow, like and send comments.
This site is great.
Really very disappointed to connect to the Youpic community where Helga found me in Linkedin and invited me to Youpic that i will be able to sell my photos there!
She gave me the Promocode and now after a month of use they took my money, i dont use it and don't have time for it and still they dont give me my money back! I cancelled the automatic payment the same day money was taken, didn't get any message before. Now Lisa from Youpic writing me that it is not possible to get refund... Really bad, too bad! Everywhere is possible to cancel the membership if not happy with service, but not on this BAD YOUPIC SITE!
If you want to create a profile and categorize your photo, I serusly recommend YOUPIC. This photography website has no censorship to any photo also any people can't screanshot your photo because the website don't allow other members to have a copy of your photo in their device. This 2 items are one of the best ability of this portal.
I received a code for a FREE PREMIUM Month from "LISA". When I hit the code to claim it, it took me to the checkout form and I put the code in as well as my information. After hitting submit, it took me back to my profile and showed "Pro" as well as a charge for $340.88 to my account! What?!?!? I have reached out to the CEO directly via email and Linked-IN and requested immediate TERMINATION of "LISA".
DO NOT subscribe to this garbage. It's a huge SCAM. While the exposure is great, there are no sales made on your photography. And your "stats" are useless because they are never marketed anywhere to anyone that would use your images.
It's pointless. It's a SCAM. And FRAUD.
I joined youpic about a year ago and I like the community. People seem to try and compare it to Instagram and it's NOT INSTAGRAM! I have found the little online education to be helpful while the ratings other photographers give my images provide direction and perspective. Many of the images are what I call, straight up images, meaning little to no editing, which I really appreciate because the images are real, not photoshopped composites like you constantly find on Instagram. People are saying that there is a $119 charge but I didn't pay that and still have multiple images marked as Inspiration, not many but some. Again, youpic is NOT instagram and I don't see where they try to be.
They contacted me via linked-in offering discounts. I signed up at 50% 'discount' and they just autorenewed me a year later at premium price 120USD. I tried to cancel the autorenew but it is impossible. They don't reply to a single message. DO NOT USE THIS SITE STEAR CLEAR! The photographs below show how when you click cancel subscription a dialogue box appears and asks 'are you sure?' I click yes and absolutely nothing happens. Paypal are currently investigating. They should be shut down.
I signed up in November of 2019 for the FREE account. I have had an experience similar to Janice L.-They charged me WITHOUT NOTIFICATION for $358.88. They are a scam. Do NOT sign up with these unethical crooks! They have NO idea how much I will harass them and of course they arrogantly think because they are in Sweden and I am in the US that they are untouchable. Uh, NO, they aren't. Some folks have international contacts, which they will find out about soon, very soon...
I love the YouPic community!
It's easy to use, I feel welcomed and I have met a lot of great photographers. Clearly the most active photo sharing space out there
When I joined I really thought YouPic would be different. The fact is: They are not, they are even worse.
There are a lot of great photographers of all kind. And hey, YouPic Team know how to catch you: You get a cover, you get the famous "stars", nearly every day, even without notifications from other users.
And then Lisa starts to send you offers with discounts to become a PRO member. In my case and in case of some other new members that I chatted with she tells that there are some very rich people who she thinks will buy some of your photos for a high price - a once ni a lifetime chance! And she don't stop bombing you with her offers, she insists and plays the very disappointed, because you don't agree. She don't accept your no.
Then when they notice you will not buy a PRO membership they lose interest in you, you can get a lot of nominations for a photo that you posted, the so-called YouPic curators will not select your photos anymore, you are out!
Funny fact: When I asked the You Pic Team about this, they said, it is "random" if you get an inspiration star, it is not the curators... So, better stay away, there are platforms with unlimited uploads, high quality members and and better prices for memberships, or even without any charges...
I like this website.
It is free. It has an international user base, so you see work from S. E. Asia, Europe, Israel and USA. You can follow other users and they can follow you. Unlike Modelmayhem.com, there are no models as users, only photographers. (There is one Swedish student photographer who posts photos of herself.) Sadly, there is little opportunity to network or exchange information.
I am a photographer specializing in figure/glamour work. I have found the site fairly laissez-faire about what can be posted. They openly allow images containing nudity, but draw the line at pornography. That term is not defined, a potential problem.
Also unlike ModelMayhem, youpic.com does not maintain an authoritarian regime under the surface, and does not have Gestapo-like moderators. The one time I needed to contact management about an issue, they responded in a helpful manner.
In all, I would recommend this site to anyone who would like to see and share a broad range of interesting images from around the world.
Premium on YouPIc costs 119 USD per year or 19 USD per month. I signed up for it and was not impressed at the begging. Aafter about 2 months, I hit the jackpot and got hired for a commissioned work via the YouPic Client platform. I got about 500 USD for that job so
Answer: When you send a message to YouPic you will not get an answer. Most of the time it's an automatic generatic answer from the robot.
Answer: I wrote to them to ask the same question. Here was their response: "Its an activity fire we have." Not helpful at all!
Answer: Yes, I get many spam messages from Lisa in the website and to my email. They always ask you to upgrade even more and to ask you money.
Answer: Seems to be working fine for me.
