They are not safe! They help the thieves and scammers and do not even allow the victim who can prove who they are, to try to stop the scam and identity theft going on with yandex business.

Well, Russians do great at coding but when the case is globally working search engine, they fail. Whenever I look up for an image I searched on Yandex, see irrevelant ones. :/

UPDATE!
(IS YANDEX GETTING IT WRONG AGAIN… OR IS THERE A DIFFERENT REASON FOR INCONVENIENCING THEIR CUSTOMERS?)
Well, here I am more than two weeks after the sudden and unexpected 'freezing' of my two Yandex email accounts.
To date, there has been no restoration to access and no effort or attempt made by Yandex to make contact or resolve this outrageous state-of-affairs.
This has given me time to do a little consultation and research including a few contacts with other innocents who have been treated similarly.
What I've learned seems to indicate, what can only be described as a sly, dishonest and subversive attempt to wring personal information from their customers. Telephone numbers, addresses, identity information and according to some, even personal banking detail!
Now if this is true, it reveals a disgraceful attempt to destroy privacy and confidentiality of certain account owners and to hand over and trust your sensitive information to an anonymous group of people in a foreign country known as a 'hackers haven'.
This would leave one exposed to information interception, abuse of the data, selling that information to other dodgey parties for profit as well as leaving one open to identity theft, ID cloning and other financial scams!
For Yandex to attempt to blackmail their clients in return for a promised return to service-as-normal is an atrocious conditional policy and I, for one, will not accept it!
More to the point, I shall do all I can to make others aware of how I've been treated and how and what potential clients might be opening themselves to by doing business with Yandex.
In closing, Russia as a country, is currently suffering from a seriously poor public relations profile and one would think that their corporates would like to avoid further criticism by embarking on poor international business practices. Even worse, they risk antagonizing neutrals and those who might have favourable opinions of the country and its business integrity and reputation.
So there it is.
It would have been helpful if Yandex had had the courage 'front up' and provide explanations and answers to these rumours and inferences, but as I have experienced, they hide behind a suspiciously deafening silence!
Rant over, I will accept that I have lost years of communications data, but I shall not buckle under Yandex's dictatorial demands of the gun being held to my head. In return, I shall spread the news of their arrogant, unfriendly un-businesslike practices far and wide.
Buyers beware!

IS YANDEX GETTING IT WRONG AGAIN… OR IS THERE A DIFFERENT REASON FOR INCONVENIENCING THEIR CUSTOMERS?

Took out a free YANDEX email subscription some years ago and after checking to assess both the reputation and stability of the platform for a few months, added a few more accounts to manage my private, business and family matters.

Then after a few more months of satisfactory operation, received a notification telling me that as I was sending an excess of emails, my one account was being suspended.?

As I had only sent three emails from that account and received about the same, I obviously complained and told them to check their facts properly. After a heated set of emails, my service was restored.

(An explanation as to how/why they got it so spectacularly wrong was never, ever provided!)

Then, after another two years of uninterrupted service, I performed my daily login and received another of their famous accusations; this time telling me that two of my accounts were ripe for POTENTIAL hacking.

… and that they were TEMPORARILY suspending the accounts.

Now… since when is the vulnerability of their infrastructure a reason to inconvenience a customer?

… and besides, EVERY person opening an email account in the world is acutely aware of the possibility of their data and information being compromised!

Of course there are ZERO channels to enquire how they arrived at such a vague and general conclusion and to address such injustices with a human being.

All efforts to restore the accounts have failed and needless to say, all channels to solve their problem have led to a dead end!

No replies to urgent emails. Zilch!

(It is worth noting that it was just less than a year ago that one of YANDEX'S own staff that was caught compromising thousands of clients accounts, presumably for material gain!)

Probably a good reason to move to a more stable and less insecure and volatile email provider as not only do they finger the wrong party and create the most inconvenient and draconian communications crisis, but they then conveniently remain out-of-contact!

How, (if ever), I'm going to recover my email trove is uncertain, but perhaps I can warn others that if they do choose YANDEX as an email platform, they better find a way to backup their critical material as my experience is that YANDEX operates on a 'Keystone Cops' management model with their finger on a hair trigger!
