The website had existed for years, and there is an element of trolling there. The trolling though seems to be done on purpose. Because it has been found on there that there are those who like to use the fact that it is a 13+ site (meaning they have an exceptional obligation to provide for the safety of young people) to turn away those who speak badly against the pervs who come on, and those who support grooming for militia reasons.

I have made many reports online about this site using the report function. The majority have been hate speech towards other users, but additionally there is the fact that due to being the target of online trolling, I am marked badly by those who I suspect support bad actions.

I have specific allegations and outside resources to back it up, but in the room, the idea seems to be able to defend the wicked scheming of many.
The site is NOT safe for children, and over all these years, the trolling and bullying haven't stopped, the display of graphic imagery and user content doesn't stop, and neither have they moderated it from within.

Comments by those who attack are not removed, and at least on the part of Y99 itself, there is no action taken to remove those who are perverts to young people, nor those who promote violent ideologies against certain groups.

Instead, it appears that the trolls work together to defame those who speak out against them (the same strategy used in Reddit, for instance), and continue on the basis of abusing new blood.

The site ideology is to just block and ignore, but the problem is, that is like telling a person to close their blinds to the rape going on out on the street outside. Just ignore it and it won't bother you. So the site has been going for a long time, with exactly the same strategies it had before; namely none at all.

It is a disgracefully filthy platform. Admittedly, there are many good people on there - people who try to just chat - but the site of itself is absolutely vile in their attitude of dealing with abused people.

My theory therefore is that the owners of the site themselves are involved in some form of abuse themselves.

I wouldn't recommend this site to anybody trying to protect their privacy, integrity, and sanity. The mods and regulars harass and humiliate innocent people. They proudly discuss all the dirty details about their "conquests" in a very distasteful manner. Most of them are misogynistic pigs trying to humiliate minors and women. They share inappropriate material between them and invade user's privacy. As soon as you figure their nasty dynamic out, they try to bully your way out of the site. I wouldn't use it even if I were paid to do so. A friendly piece of advice, stay away from it!

Don't come here if you're wanting to protect your privacy from people who don't care about respecting your privacy. If you're using a V. P. N., the administrator will ban your I. P. address because the administrator doesn't respect your privacy. Which tells me that this website is not safe for me since someone tried to intrude into my personal life because they banned my I. P. address because I used a V. P. N. To protect my privacy. People and governments are what I don't trust completely. So, I wouldn't trust them knowing my I. P. address. Otherwise, this chat room website is filled with trolls, mediocre memes, thirsty guys who don't talk to other guys because they're really looking for sex with sexually exploitable girls to benefit their macho man personalities, and other things. All of those things make me come to the conclusion that I won't be missing much anyway since I got my I. P. address banned.

It is way too easy to interact with minors. A lot of users are here for sexual pleasure/ blackmail. However it is relatively easy to report users of inappropriate intentions. I only hope that all reports are taken seriously and forwarded to legal teams for further investigation.

The site is pretty good for normal things like chatting and getting to know people. There are several rooms, and i mean like more than 50% just for sexting and other horny business. Even in the normal rooms, there are people advertising themselves in the mere hope of getting a girl to dm them. Some of them are minors too.
Conclusion is that it can be a great site for meeting people and just wasting your time, but the amount of creeps is insane.

Site staff was allowing other room owners to sexually harass people, Blackmail them, and threaten them. Yet they banned other people for doing even smaller offenses. They definitely pick favorites and I wouldn't recommend being on the site

A lot of NSFW chat rooms on this site and most of them are full of underaged people and predators if you see this in your kids phone block the site emediately this is the problem with sites that allow you to chat, share pictures and video chat without registering. Do not go here

I love y99 because it gives you the chance to talk to other people without sharing any personal information. This gives you a chance to get to know the person without it being creepy and them having your personal information let alone you can find people your own age to talk to with similar experience.

The hacker hacking and harassing users and falsely reporting people hundreds of times so they get banned / turned invisible in pms and rooms (messages show up for u but no one sees them) because of lazy staff not reading context, someone with enough time and money should sue them for negligence i know of at least 5 accounts this happened to and the same individual got them all banned after harassing them if he couldn't hack them to delete them or turn their accounts into new troll accounts. This is not at all safe for people, especially the minors that are on this site. This site mostly has older men looking for sex, nudes, etc even with underage folk. It's disgusting.

Aside from the Lobby, most rooms are very inactive, unless you're digging into those that have age restrictions where, if you're in the younger pool, are fool of creeps that are clearly trying their luck with different aliases, or if you're in the older pool, are not the best choice for SFW conversations. It's almost as if being 21+ means you MUST be into naughty chats. Gross.

There are prejudiced people here, as the internet is wont to host, but Y99 either lacks moderators or has a severe case of "if I ignore it, it doesn't exist" problem with its staff members. And by prejudiced, I don't mean personal beef. This is literally religion, race and political discourse that should have no place in a chatroom that isn't dedicated to social issue topics.

The interface looks like it would be better off as a mobile app. Right now, it looks underdeveloped, and has been for a year at least now. Buying premium at a minimum of $1 a month gives you different perks. The more you pay them monthly, the more perks you get, but the perks are your usual colours in names, or having priority in the active list. Nothing else. Not worth the money because there is no love poured into the site from the looks of it.

This is a chatroom supposedly. But like many others, you're not going to get noticed unless you spend months or even years of your time trying to get noticed (unless you're a loser, you're not going to do that). The interface is very basic. No users seem to want to engage in any serious debate, instead just say "hi" repeatedly...

They have added a "audio clip" function, but it requires users to (god forbid) actually click to hear it, I think it should play on auto because literally no one plays it voluntarily. If it was on autoplay, unless they block u, you will be heard no matter what. No conversations of substance, long pauses where no one is really interested in the chat, just a bunch of bored people, possibly basement dwellers, jobless or after-school teenagers, eventually just inducing a headache to the more intelligent among us.

The chatrooms that seem to have hundreds of people in, predominantly have an immature high-school clique premade that is hostile to new users, some rooms openly ban you for using the audio feature?!

Overall, having visited on 5 seperate occassions, what is clearer to me now is that comments are only useful to specific video/audio content or clips taken out of context, I cannot recommend this website for any meaningful conversation when you have the scrubs of humanity given mod powers with barely an IQ to rub rocks together with. You can hold a conference call and make a custom chat exclusive and specific ie a business meeting, similar function to Microsoft Teams, that is possible, but it's never used like that. It's used for strangers to talk nonsense and ignore any sentence longer than 5 words

Not a safe site! I noticed right away that Malware is running and I had to remove a few backdoors and trojans. Better off using this on your phone, as it will not have root access or administrator rights.
