Update, I recently had an amazing session with Steve V from Ocala Fl …Is amazing. Very helpful. I believe he teaches statistics! I appreciate the way he teaches. The way he explains things provides the ability to understand it. I really enjoy my session with him will continue to utilize his help for as long as it is required.

I started Wyzant in May (today is June 11th) and I have one students and have made close to $1,000 already. What I love is the fact that the customer proposes a fee. Then the tutor has the opportunity to accept that amount, charge more, or less. Once you gain a trusting client who likes your work, the revenue starts pouring in. I also love that Wyzant sets it all up, keeps track of all the details, and only takes a small percentage. I am very happy with that. I have made no less that $30 an hour. Some people actually propose as high as $75 an hour depending on the request. If you are pondering whether or not to join, stop thinking and go ahead and set up your account. You won't regret it. Go for it.

I started tutoring for Wyzant about 2 months ago. The clients I have gotten (both online & in person) have been incredible! I am working with children from 3rd grade through High School/SAT prep. Students learn the Spanish language very quickly and easily.
The way I teach Spanish is very pleasant and professional. I'm interested in people talking, writing and reading very well. I teach many things from different countries in Latin America and I am interested in the specific needs of the student to advance in this language.

In the last 3 years I have hired three different tutors from Wyzant. All three focused on different subject areas and all were very knowledgeable. They all worked well with my son to help him understand and improve his grades. I would highly recommend using Wyzant to find a tutor for your child. I've been very happy with the site and client-draw. I'm a tutor who wanted to do just that: tutor. I was not in it for the money (still not) and my first client took MONTHS to come, but less than a year later, I have 4 steady pupils and I'm over 50 hours making 70% of my $55/hour rate. Between the four clients I do about 24 - 27 hours a month. It adds up quickly and the pressure goes away once you decide to do it for fun and to help others.

I'm a tutor and have been for a number of years. From my perspective, Wyzant does a great job. I charge what I want per hour; Wyzant takes their percentage for running this service, and I get the rest.
After many tutorings and many good reviews from students of my work, I sometimes get direct requests for my tutoring service.
The best thing is that Wrzant removes me from having to bill the students directly.
