Aww, that sucks. =[ Sometimes it sucks to have your account deactivated because of a misunderstanding. Might I recommend, however, that you post this in a review so that others can see? That would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :D

Yes, potential clients of mine said Wyzant hounded them over and over to give billing info. Wyzant apparently thinks it's our job to police them and be sure they do that. All we can do as tutors is echo that we cannot meet them until they do that, however some are hesitant. Not my problem anymore. Wyzant sucks.

Tutors are not employees. It is an online marketplace connecting students and tutors. Wyzant controls the website and has reserves the right to remove tutor profiles from the directory for no reason. When Wyzant removes profiles it creates more space internet space for new tutors and students. Why they currently have free student questions, answers and blogs from 2011, on their webpage as of today, does not make any sense. Wyzant does not have a background check requirement for students posting jobs or free questions. Tutors can elect to have a background check or decline one. There is a security risk for both parties. It is not the best platform for tutors or students..

Wyzant is a great business opportunity. However, what you put in is what you'll get out. Unfortunately, myaccount was deactivated because I was told I did not communicate with the potential students. Also those who wanted tutoring never applied billing information. How could I reach out if the students did not provide that information?
