Question:

How about past ten years with this product? do you have to tear up your floors and reinstall, or just go without the radiant heat after that and go back to another heat source?

Answer:

ThermoSoft Thermotile systems has LIFETIME warranty. Their patented heating technology has won multiple awards. ThermoSoft ThermoFloor heating system is the ONLY system in the world, which utilizes special synthetic yarns as a core of heater, instead of metal wires or Carbon ink. These wires are designed with Thermal Cut-Off properties, which brings the safety of the heater to the whole new level. No one else can come even close. It is especially important if electric floor heating is installed under combustible laminate floors.

Question:

We have a very large rec room that required 3 mats to cover. thermosoft told us to hook two of them directly to the thermostat and the third use a power module that is hooked to the thermostat. the 2 mats work great but the one through the power module keeps tripping and shutting off. we have checked the floor continuity and it is fine. thermosoft has sent us a couple different power modules none work. my husband tried bypassing the main thermostat to see if the floor mat worked it worked fine. we have had the floor in 3 years now and that one section has never worked right. at first thermosoft told us that they had sent us the wrong power module to begin with but none of the others have worked as well. has anyone else had this problem with large areas?

Answer:

Marlene, please call us at your earliest convenience and we can help you with this issue. Our tech support can be reached at (800)308-8057 extension 38.

Question:

Have a den concrete floor that i'm installing floating bamboo floor over. 14.5 x 14 with a couple of small cut outs. will your product work and what percentage of the floor needs to be covered with radiant heat?

Answer:

Yes, it will be a good application for ThermoFloor heating system. The general rule is to cover your entire walking area, not under cabinets. If your area is getting very cold in winter, then additional layer of insulation is recommended over the concrete.
