Wren started the fitting of my kitchen but never completed it and I am still waiting for an offer of compensation 4 months on.
Wren started the fitting of my kitchen 4 months ago.
On the 1st day of fitting everything seemed to be going well however after day 1 or 2 the fitter kept disappearing to do other jobs and only returned after I would make a complain. Then he would return for a couple of hours and disappear again stating that he had go and fit a bathroom for someone else and would return in a couple of days but the same thing kept on happening over and over again and he has still not returned to complete the job.
I then decided to make a written complain to Wren by email and by post outlining the consumer credit act 2015 and proposed an offer of solution which included the following:
1. A full refund for the cost of the goods and fitting
2. The fitting to be completed with a substantial discount on the cost of the fitting as well as a refund on the cost for the collection of the rubbish that you charged me for and replacement and fitting of faulty or damage items.
To date Wren has not replied to my complaint other then to arrange for a new fitter to attend my home to complete the fitting.
Wren has not accepted any responsibility and has not made any offer of compensation.
I would not recommend Wren Kitchen to anyone. Everything is over priced and the service and workmanship is appalling. In my opinion they are absolute rubbish

Great product and seamless customer service from start to finish. I had a scratch on one of the cabinet doors and they promptly dispatched a replacement which I received the following day.

It's over a year now since we had our kitchen put in and I find more and more things that are wrong but NOBODY cares, put a marble on the work top and it rolls away, the BIG draft gap under the units, the gap left between units and all the stuff left, I paid for a big worktop that I only needed half of, I had to chop the other half up to get it into my car to take to the skip along with all the doors that arrived broken and a big six foot piece that my husband decided to keep, but I don't even know what it was for. All in all a company that doesn't give a damn they have your money. The end
Our kitchen was fitted in February 2019, within 6 months the units were starting to discolour and flake, wren blamed us for cleaning them wrong, we raised a sec75, Wren even threatened the bank not to settle beyond their offfer ( SARS) the financial ombudsman found in our favour, Wren refused to comply with the ruling, finally Sept 2022, the bank complied without Wren, and we got a resolution, life is too short to get a wren kitchen
I was very hesitant to remodel my kitchen because I've heard so many horrible stories. My experience with wren was excellent it really met and exceeded what I wanted the experience to be. Maria at the Newington store was so patient so thorough and knowledgeable. Wren customer service was superior! Every time I went into the wren store to meet with Maria (to make my MANY changes until I finally made up my mind lol) I received a call from customer service to check in. Every time a deadline was met, another check in call. When order finalized, a call. Prior to delivery and at delivery, a call. It was so reassuring to have wren kitchens on it every step of the way. When my contractor discovered that a panel was missing I called wren and it was sent to me right away. When one hinge wasn't soft closing (I know…not really a big deal) the hinge was express mailed by wren. Such an easy process. I would absolutely recommend WREN hands down. Prices were also really reasonable. I actually thought the total figure was wrong at first! Can't say enough good things about wren. My cabinets are just beautiful, my kitchen looks amazing! The average lifespan of the wren bird is approximately 2 years. The average lifespan of a wren kitchen is approximately 2 weeks!
Seriously, avoid, avoid avoid.
Ordered an extra cabinet to house the boiler (£250). Cabinet arrived, not deep enough. Luckily, the fitter (Benjamin) managed to get around the problem. Now, I have just had to pay another £80 for a side panel for said boiler housing because apparently they were not aware that this was a cabinet which would not be attached to other cabinets (despite me sending in a number of photos of the boiler, clearly showing it as a stand-alone unit). I had the quartz worktop fitted yesterday (expensive) only to discover there is a gap between the wall and the end of the work-top. Strange how their "precision measuring and cutting" has left me with a 2mm gap at one end! I have sent an e-mail and photos through, let's see what excuse they come up with to justify it ("the walls must have moved since we measured it!). I'll make sure to keep you all posted on that one. Lots of regrets. Wren=1 star, Benjamin the fitter=5 stars.
Update to this: Just got a text this morning. The all important, over priced panel will take 2 weeks to get here! Where do they make them, the Gobi Desert?! Seriously, avoid at all costs.
Another update. Wren replied to my review with a cut and paste response. Why does Wren respond to negative reviews with a copy and paste response, requesting that the reviewer contact them. Here's an idea Wren, why don't you make the effort and contact the reviewer? You have our names on your database, actually do some work, rather than get the CUSTOMER to do all the running.
Wren sent me an e-mail: "am sorry to hear about the issues you are currently experiencing, I have checked over the images you have supplied and can see that the upstand follows the wall.
As your wall is slightly out there will be gaps we do have tolerance levels of around 6mm gaps for the upstands, if you feel they are less than this then please can you send me more images with a tape measurement.
Once I will be able to look in to this further for you to reach a resolve, if you need any further help please feel free to ask"
My response: "I am glad to hear that you have "tolerance levels", because my tolerance level with Wren has been well and truly exceeded. What exactly does "as your wall is slightly out" mean? When the surveyor visited, with his laser measuring devices, why did he not point out to me that the worktop would not be flush with the wall because my wall was "slightly out"?
All I know is that there is a gap between my super expensive worktop and the wall. What do you propose I do with the gap, put some masking tape over it?
To me, this gap is clearly obvious, but not as obvious a gap as between Wrens' polished sales blurb and the substandard reality of the finished product.
What happens now?"

Kitchen was delivered on time great couple of delivery men really pleasant and careful had a couple of issues with the kitchen but the customer service team sorted them out though

Answer: It was very easy to reach Customer service to change our delivery date and to report issues with cabinet doors. We received new doors relatively quickly.
Answer: I did my kitchen with Home Depot three years ago some of the things were so bad I had to replace it a whole kitchen Wren Kitchen solid thing
