My Auntie's vintage engagement ring sold for much higher than I had been quoted by another vendor.
Quickly too.

It took me a long time to decide to try Worthy. Once I finally did they updated me at every stage. I was a little disappointed with the valuation but, fortunately, the auction was won with a bid more to my liking. And payment was quick after auction ended.

I was very wary about selling my ring but was holding on to it for no reason. They kept me in the loop throughout the shipping, auction, and sale of my ring and negotiated with the potential buyer to get me a better price. I would highly recommend if you are considering selling jewelery and are worried about safety.
Hi Kim,
Thanks for taking a moment to share your experience and congratulations once again on your successful auction! We completely understand how intimidating selling your jewelry can seem at first and we're glad you decided to give us a try. We look forward to working with you again should the opportunity arise.

While the company seems good often the right hand has no clue what the left hand is doing. The upload tool is woefully inadequate. I have submitted 4 different high end gemstones that I was told Worthy would accept. None of the submissions were accepted, wasting my time. Your mileage may vary.
Hello Jeff,
We appreciate your interest in working with us and the effort you went to in sharing details for your various loose gemstones. Our gemologists reviewed your various submissions and unfortunately determined none of the gemstones meet the criteria for auction. Our unique buyer platform is made up of over 1,000 professional buyers and any of the jewelry we accept is based on observed market trends and historical auction performance. If we are not confident your valuables will perform well during auction, we will let you know right away so you can pursue other avenues that may be a better fit.
We recognize it can be disappointing if we are unable to help you sell your jewelry and we are hopeful you have since found more success elsewhere. To ensure there are no remaining concerns left for our team to address, a member of our leadership team will be following up with you directly to discuss your recent experience further.
Thank you,

Great, easy and fast process to sell diamond stud earrings.

I scheduled a call to go over selling jewelry and 5 mins before call time, it was cancelled by them with no reasoning and no rescheduled time. I went on website to account to see if any notes were there and it deleted all my jewelry I took pictures of and it was like I never did anything on there website.
Hi Dale,
We appreciate your interest in working with us and the effort you went to in sharing details for your various rings and loose diamonds and gemstones. In preparation for your scheduled call, our gemologists reviewed your various jewelry submissions and unfortunately determined none of the pieces meet our minimum criteria for auction. If we are not confident your jewelry will perform well amongst the professional buyers making up our buyer network, we will let you know right away so you can pursue other avenues that may be a better fit.
When reviewing your account history, we can confirm your call was scheduled for 1:30 PM ET and our team sent you an email and text message around 10:30 AM ET that morning explaining our determination on your various pieces. We recognize it can be disappointing if we are unable to help you sell your jewelry and we are hopeful you have since found more success elsewhere.
To ensure there are no remaining concerns left for our team to address, a member of our leadership team will be following up with you directly to discuss your recent experience further.

This company is not as advertised. They told me they expected my piece of jewelry to sell for about $2000 based on the GIA certification. Once they had it, they downgraded the reserve price to &694. One of their people actually told me that the reserve price was not binding! This is not true. The terms and conditions say that if you set a reserve price and it sells, you are obligated to sell the ring. I couldn't believe they told such an obvious lie. I managed to get the ring back and sold it to a jeweler for more than $1300.
Hello Abby,
We are unable to locate an account for you based on the limited information available. We’d like to look into your concerns further and require more information from you to do so.

I sent by ring to be auctioned by their company. It took well over the timeframe they said. When I finally received my "estimated" auction value it was so far below the appraised value by the jeweler who made the ring in 2018 but another independent jeweler in 2019. It is insured for almost 70% more than what worthy said. I will be contacting the Attorney General in my state foir fraud
Hi Carrie,
It is very important to note that appraisals are commonly for insurance purposes only and are often based on the retail replacement cost of the jewelry. To ensure you have realistic expectations when selling pre-owned jewelry, it is important to first understand that in a resale market, it is very likely for diamond jewelry to be sold for a significantly lower amount than what was originally paid. Retail prices commonly include markups for any overhead costs and profit margins that do not transfer over in a resale market. These added costs are not part of a jewelry piece's intrinsic value and therefore will not be part of what a buyer will consider paying.
It is our top priority to help sellers such as yourself get the most for your pre-owned jewelry in a resale market. For this reason, all jewelry is professionally cleaned, photographed, and graded by a reputable grading lab prior to auction. We do acknowledge there was a brief delay in the auction preparations while we attempted to obtain your approval to unmount the center diamond of your jewelry for more accurate grading of the diamond at the GIA. When we did not receive this approval after several contact attempts, your jewelry was sent, fully mounted, to IGI for grading instead.
We are sorry that we were not able to help you reach an acceptable offer amount for your jewelry. With that said, we also stand by our completely risk-free process that gives you complete control of the minimum amount you sell your jewelry for, regardless of the current market demand. All unsold jewelry is returned at no cost to you, in the same condition originally received in.
To make sure we have addressed all outstanding concerns with you, a member of our leadership team will be reaching out to you directly to discuss your experience further.
Thank you,
Worthy Team
Worthy team communicated every step of the process and performed the auction exactly as described in their program.
Hi Ken,
Thanks for taking a moment to share your feedback. We appreciate having had the opportunity to work with you!

First they ask that they could send my ring over to GIA to get tested. That they would have to remove the diamond to do so. I think it's really weird that they are willing to do this for free. And I've had my ring checked out by several people and they stated that it was a real diamond versus a lab created diamond. But, when it came through for the GIA report it said it was a lab created diamond. Is there a possibility that Worthy could have swapped out the diamond? I don't trust these guys at all. They had my ring over at GIA for almost a week and a half. Finally, it goes into auction. First, let me tell you that this is a diamond that is a carot and a half and also has two pink small diamonds on the side. Also several diamonds throughout the entire ring. It appraised about $15,000. They submitted it through the auction and it had listed the wrong description and only got $230? Around there. Of course I didn't take that value because that seems like they're trying to rip you off and just take the ring. And these auctions don't even seem real. When I asked were the auction site was actually at to where I could sign up for it they couldn't give me any information. Finally, they are shipping the ring back but they're sending it to a weird FedEx location but not provided at tracking number yet and it's been almost 10 days. Why wouldn't they ship it back to my house? Oh they're really going to be shocked if they swapped out the diamond because I actually had a GIA report on it and it proves that it's real. If I get this ring back and it's a fake diamond with a different serial number.I'm going to be going to the police and going to the news. Thanks guys.
Hi Kelly,
We are genuinely concerned with the statements you have made in your review as they do not reflect our business or our practices whatsoever. Suggesting that we have swapped your center diamond is both highly unethical and highly illegal. Such statements without merit are incredibly harmful to the reputation we have worked very hard to build over the past 10 years and are not taken lightly.
We only make money when you do which is why we're focused on setting your auction up for success which includes complimentary professional cleaning, photography, and objective third-party grading. As explained in our communication to you directly, we utilize the GIA for grading loose diamonds as they are the gold standard for accurate grading and building buyer confidence, which in turn, helps influence offers placed during the auction.
The GIA reported your center diamond as lab-grown and a total of 1.39 carats. The market demand amongst our network of professional buyers for lab-grown diamonds is unfortunately very low compared to natural diamonds of similar characteristics. All components making up your bridal set were included in the details of your auction which were visible to both you and the buyers who had access to your auction.
Your jewelry was returned to the FedEx location you confirmed after final preparations were made to ship it back. Our normal return processing timeframe is 7-10 business days however in light of the center diamond needing to be remounted to the setting, one additional day was required before the jewelry was ready to be returned. We greatly appreciate your patience while these final steps were taken.
Although we have not heard back from you since you received your jewelry, a member of our leadership team will follow up with you directly to confirm there are no remaining concerns left to address.
Thank you,
Worthy Team
I thought that worthy would be able to get me a better price on my ring because that's what they advertise. What a joke that was. My local jewelers and pawn shop offered me more. The only thing positive is that the people I spoke to were nice. Other than that, total waste of my time. Don't believe what you see on their commercials.
Hi Molly,
We are sorry that your jewelry did not get the price you were hoping for at auction. We only make money when you do which is why we focused on setting your auction up for success with the 1,000+ professional buyers it was presented to. Often times we have been able to help sellers get 2-3x more than what was being offered locally which is why we are confident in the services we provide.

Warn family and friends. Cheap and overrated by FAR. My ring did not return in its original condition. Now they won't respond to me. Hounded me to send it in, now they're no where to be found. Very disappointed.
Hi Katie,

I was hesitant to send my ring with this company, but overall they were great at communicating when my ring was received and during auction. But overall it was a huge waste of time. I have a.96 carat solitaire ring that is less than 2 years old. Highest bid I received was $260 and they suggested I countered with somewhere around $325. I know I won't get nearly as much as I paid for this ring but a pawn shop would offer me much more than that. A local jewelry store offered me $1600 and I thought I may get more from worthy from reading reviews. Overall pretty dissatisfied and annoyed that I wasted my time.
Hi Maria,
We appreciate your choice in working with us although we weren't able to help you reach an acceptable amount for your diamond ring. At the end of the auction, your jewelry was prepared for return and shipped back to you free of charge.
A member of our leadership team has attempted to connect with you directly and remains available to discuss your recent experience with you. We look forward to connecting with you and determining any final steps we can take to improve your overall experience.
Thank you,

I sent my ring to them 1 week after having it appraised. The appraisal came in at $5100, and although I know appraisal are for insurance purposes for the cost to replace the ring, and I also know that resale value is lower, but they offered the starting bid to be $358. This is a rose gold triple banded ring with over 14 small diamonds and a 1.1 caret center diamond. I requested my ring be returned. They said it would be 7-10 business days. It is now 12 business days and it has not even left their warehouse. I've called multiple days in a row and they keep making excuses. I fear I'll never get it back.
Dear Jamie,
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us regarding your recent experience. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration you have faced throughout the process, and we appreciate your patience as we work towards a resolution.
We understand the disappointment you felt with the significant difference between the appraisal value of your ring and the starting bid offered. While appraisals are primarily intended for insurance purposes, we acknowledge that the resale value may vary. We apologize if this was not clearly communicated to you, and we appreciate your understanding of this aspect.
Regarding the delay in returning your ring, we deeply regret any inconvenience caused by the extended timeframe and the lack of communication. We have taken your feedback seriously and have initiated an immediate investigation into the matter. We have confirmed your return will be on it's way to you as of this afternoon.
Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us, as it helps us identify areas for improvement and deliver a better experience to all our customers. We appreciate your trust in our company and your patience throughout this process.

Answer: Yes, Worthy photographs your item and gets it appraised. Worthy will suggest a reserve price. You can set your own, though, like I did. Had my ring not reached the reserve, I would have had the option of accepting the sale or having my ring returned. I set my reserve price 5% over what they suggested and I received double what I set as my reserve. Something to note is since my ring had a flurry of attention on the last day, Worthy extended my auction time enabling me to receive more bids. My ring sold last night and I had an email this morning saying my deposit was made to my account. I will use them again and recommend them to my family.

Answer: Yes, we can help you sell all of your fine jewelry pieces. Please call us at 888-222-0208.
Answer: For me Worthy was legitimate and I plan to use them again and to refer them. They did an excellent job.
Answer: I was offered a quick sale and it was less than what I had anticipated my minimum bid price would be. I was told my check was sent out. Hoping to receive the check any day now, All in all, the process was not everything I had hoped for... I received one phone call on a sunday with the quick sale offer and some basic info on the appraisal. If you created an on-line account and communicated via email then you at least have some paper trial of what has happened. I went in person and delivered a ring so all communication was via phone once I left the building.
