I had a previous wedding ring with a 2.33 ct center diamond & 2.88 ct diamonds next to it that I wanted to sell, but was super hesitant to send it off to Worthy. I had checked around and got really poor estimates for it so finally decided to take a chance and send it off to Worthy after talking to Rachel. She was great at explaining the whole process and definitely made me feel more at ease about it all. Once they had it appraised, Ornella called me to tell me what the estimate was and we came up with a minimum price that I was willing to except. It went to auction and sold for more than I expected and so I was super happy about that, but also very happy about how the whole process went and how they kept me informed all along the way. I already know that I will be sending them other jewelry that I haven't worn in years.
I worked closely with Kendall for the sale of my bridal set and he provided detailed updates at every step of the process. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly and efficiently the diamond grading and auction process went, and I ended up receiving a higher sale price than I originally had requested. They lost two of my rings in transit and refuse to provide any documentation or to give me the fair value for my rings. It's been almost six months of an absolute dumpster fire. They won't respond unless you hound them, and they talk down to you when you try and get any information from them. They're supposed to have insurance for jewelry when you send it in to them through FedEx and then separate insurance to protect your jewelry through the whole process, but the way they're reacting it making it sound like they have no insurance at all. It feels a lot like they only have one or two employees and that there's no actual professional working with or for them. I never saw a gemologist report from the ring I first sold with them, even though it was supposed to be provided. And now magically my information from the one ring I sold with them last summer and the information on both of their rings has been "accidentally" deleted from their website.

As a reminder, you can still view the FedEx tracking ending in -0711 on fedex.com to confirm that FedEx initially received your package. Unfortunately in light of there being no additional movement on the tracking, FedEx ultimately concluded your package as a loss after they were unable to locate it.
Although it is extremely rare for a package to go missing while being shipped by FedEx, we have insurance coverage in place for this very reason. Our insurance policy provides coverage reflective of the services we offer. As pre-owned jewelry being sold through a secondary market, jewelry is eligible for coverage up to its current resale value. Documentation such as a detailed purchase receipt or a grading report highlighting your jewelry's unique characteristics greatly help in substantiating the claim and determining an accurate resale value range. It is important to note that you were requested to provide any available documentation however we have only received photos of the two rings you indicated you shipped to this point.
When reviewing your past communication with our team, we can confirm you were advised of the steps we would be taking to investigate the concerns and to assist you further. In light of the severely limited information available for your jewelry, this did influence what steps our team could take. I highly recommend using Worthy to sell your jewelry! They will send you a complimentary mailing package in order for you to mail your jewelry off to New York to be graded and have the pictures taken. They will then keep you updated on every step of the process via email and text message. Once your jewelry is ready it will be put up for auction for 48 hours and you can watch the bid price on your jewelry for the full 48 hours. If your preferred price was met or it was exceeded your jewelry will be sold, and if it's not you get to choose whether to sell for the highest bid or get your jewelry back. I sold my engagement and wedding band and I got way more than I hoped to get! Worthy will take a percentage of the highest bid price as a service fee. Mine was 14% Worthy will then call and confirm payment process and information and the money was in my account less than 5 days after it was sold. I'm very happy with the service Worthy provided!

I was leery of this process but at the same time felt that the ring was no good to me anymore so I might as well make a profit off of it. I didn't get as much as I would have liked for it about $400-$900 less than expected and that was with what I thought was low expectations but must say process was very easy. I spoke with and texted several times with someone from the company before making the decision because it scared me to send my ring in the mail. I never was told and I guess didn't think to ask or read that 22% off of what you sell ring for is taken for process and sale of ring. This is something that I believe should be a little clearer. All in all it was a positive experience. Ring cost $5000 made $1123. The ring was 13 years old.

Answer: Yes, Worthy photographs your item and gets it appraised. Worthy will suggest a reserve price. You can set your own, though, like I did. Had my ring not reached the reserve, I would have had the option of accepting the sale or having my ring returned. I set my reserve price 5% over what they suggested and I received double what I set as my reserve. Something to note is since my ring had a flurry of attention on the last day, Worthy extended my auction time enabling me to receive more bids. My ring sold last night and I had an email this morning saying my deposit was made to my account. I will use them again and recommend them to my family.

Answer: I was offered a quick sale and it was less than what I had anticipated my minimum bid price would be. I was told my check was sent out. Hoping to receive the check any day now, All in all, the process was not everything I had hoped for... I received one phone call on a sunday with the quick sale offer and some basic info on the appraisal. If you created an on-line account and communicated via email then you at least have some paper trial of what has happened. I went in person and delivered a ring so all communication was via phone once I left the building.
