Whenever I'm looking for a book my first port of call is WOB. Every time my order has been prompt and very reasonably priced. I wanted to say thank you for this stress free experience! Also I love that most books have been preowned.
Every book we have had from World of books has been of excellent quality, they warn you of wear but honestly that has not been our experience. And the price is great when you have a family of avid readers. Thank you.

I have been using WOB for years now. I have always found their website easy to use. The books I have ordered, and yes it is usually books, have all arrived in good time and in the condition advertised. I occasionally order CDs but when one was faulty I was very pleased with how quickly it was replaced after I complained. I do like WOB. Now, excuse me I have another order to place for my latest book group selection.
A disc of a rare dvd boxset was defective. The playing side of the disc was partially brown. I photographed it as proof. The matter was dealt with. I was given a choice of choosing a replacement item to the same value or a full refund. I am happy with the outcome. This company do care about their customers and everything else I've purchased from them has been fine

Ordered 2 books, one never arrived and another which was apparently in "good to excellent condition" was covered in brown marks and rips, I asked for a refund or replacement for the book that never arrived and they never contacted me again

Always go to WOB first to buy books. Prompt delivery, great value. Have bought many many books and only once had a problem with a book, customer services was easy to contact and sorted it out quickly. My first choice book shop.

I ordered two books on Saturday 11th December and had received the books in great condition by Tuesday 14th. At a time when the media is full of complaints about delays in deliveries I think this demonstrates an excellent service. Fantastic!

Having used WoB for years I have found almost all the purchases are of the quality & condition I expected. On the two occasions I had reason to question the book condition the issue was quickly rectified. The books are usually at least as good and often much better than I hoped for. Being a compulsive purchaser of books WoB helps find a good home for previously loved volumes.

This is a great idea! Good value for money, the only thing was that i bought the same book twice, but that was because it was under a different name & i gave it to someone else so all in all it worked out. I would recommend this site.

I usually buy large print books from a large
varied selection,for my mum, from this site, as they are difficult to find in charity shops. She is always delighted with them.
Recently I also bought several autobiographies for my dad as he was stuck in bed after a long stint in hospital, he is now back to thoroughly enjoying reading again, which is nice to see, so I will buy more for him.
I volunteer in a charity bookshop who actually send books to Wob, but in the last week I have also bought 4 books for myself as well, as I wanted a particular book and couldn't wait for it to eventually wend its way to our shop! Looking forward to reading it on holiday
Full marks for prompt delivery, books have always been clean and in good condition, prices are fairly competitive especially as it's free delivery with no minimum spend, which is worth a bit in itself.
The only thing I don't like is, your name! World of books was much nicer and very apt!
Easy to buy from and the book arrived promptly with. Decent quality second hand book at a better price than any other site I could find. It was a pleasure to buy from and look forward to purchasing again.

Ordered two books July 25,2023. Recieved 1 book within alloted time frame. Contacted customer service daily, post 10 day shipping. 1 response to say "USPS is backed-up and shipping could be delayed" Book never shipped, no response again from customer service. No refund issued. Book ordered and paid for was a college textbook. USPS tracking posted July 26,2023 from New Jersey, never updated after initial 'shipped'. "Alex" from WOB was customer service rep. Telling me to "be patient", direct emailed him x4 with never a response after initial email. Also re-emailed WOB "Contact Us" page, and spoke with BOT daily with zero added information. Never will use this site again. Infuriating to say the least.

Bought an old book but got a newer edition. When queried I was told picture on the web page is computer generated. So the lesson is check the ISBN no. (But in my case the nook was so old it didn't have an ISBN). As the picture may well not be the edition of the book you think it is. WOB did say they would refund with evidence of postage but I gave given both (!) incorrect versions to charity. WOB you need to check manually that the picture IS the book your selling.

The book is indeed in very good condition. It - and others in the Robert Galbraith series - arrived very quickly. Just one quibble: the four books were very tightly packed and in using scissors to open the plastic, in which there was no obvious place to cut, I damaged the cover of one book.

Using WOB has become my go to bookseller, ticking every customer friendly box I could possibly want. Great prices, a wealth of titles and subsequent goodies on offer for the avid reader like myself, relatively fast delivery (easily within the bounds of reasonableness) and email updates that keep me informed on a regular basis. I've stopped looking elsewhere - why bother when I'm perfectly happy with WOB?

World of books used to be a good company to deal with but lately they have gone down hill. Not so long ago they charged a fair prices for a second hand book but recently they have doubled their prices and now, generally you can buy new from Amazon at less that you can buy second hand from World of Books. As to the descriptions of the condition of the books they sell, they are either false or the books they send out are not the ones in the description!. The last book I purchased from World of Books, which was described as good, looked like it had been kicked around a school playground for a week or two before being packaged and sent out! I will NOT be buying anything more from this company!
WoB are always fast, efficient and true to their descriptions. I had a problem with one of the books this time and emailed. I was asked to send pictures and very quickly was told I could have a refund for that book. The customer service is excellent! Thank you WOB
