I would give a minus 5 star review if it was available. I'm elderly, sick and I have spent 11 years uploading a lifetime of photos onto Winkflash.com. Winkflash promised that those photos would be kept "forever". I badly want those photos returned before I can't enjoy them anymore. Winkflash has lost them. I thought you could never really loose data! I hope someone can find a way to force Winkflash to recover lost photos.
I ordered plenty of photo books from Winkflash. I really like them. Now every once in a while, printing never seems to start. About 20% of my photo book orders were "printing" for 4 weeks. They promise a turnaround of 3-7 days.
I wrote to customer service.
The first time that happened, customer service told me they had a problem in one of their printing facilities. I cancelled the order, ordered it again, and voila, two weeks later the book arrived in my mailbox.
The second time, customer service told me they had such a high volume to print, they just can't handle the volume. However, they would bump my order up the queue, so everything should be fine.
Two weeks later I cancelled the order.
If you need something printed in a timely and reliable manner, Winkflash is not the company to use. If you don't have a deadline to meet and don't need customer service support, go ahead.
Did I mention, customer service didn't apologize for their crappy service?
Does anyone know how to sign on and get pics if I forgot my user name and password? I have been trying to find out for months and got no response from them. I am just now seeing that they are out of business.
I had been satisfied with my orders from Winkflash in the past, but this time I ordered a (small) photobook well in advance of a meeting and I did not get it in time. As another reviewer reported, it was "printing" for weeks. Customer service was no help at all, just said they were very busy. Would not go through that again.
I've always loved winkflash been using them since 2004. I have all my kids baby pictures on there. I need to be able to retrieve them. I have emailed them twice with no reply and sat on hold being caller 8 to caller 4 in 2.5hrs. Has anyone heard a response from them on how to get pictures? I'm sick over this I have 106 albums probably around 15,000 photos can anyone help?
I don't know what happened to winkflash! I had received an order from them a couple of weeks ago. Since then I have placed a few orders and my credit card has been processing for a couple of weeks! When I call the number - the lines are busy and no one replied to my emails! Anyone with a similar experience?... any suggestions?
Winkflash lost all of my photos - has no record of my past orders, photo books, or years worth of pictures of my daughter growing up and my husband who is now dead.
I guess this is the hard way to learn not to store anything you cherish online.
Ive been using Winkflash for years now. Theyre prints are top notch and you cant beat their prices. Wish they had more shipping options because sometimes it takes a while for my orders to make it here. Other than that though, Winkflash is a quality printer
SOOOOOO many people with problems since this company was taken over by new "management". I've emailed and messaged with NO reply. I've had enough. File complaints with the Better Business Bureau. That's what I did. I hope someone files a class action lawsuit. I'd jump on that suit in a heartbeat!
I am sick i lost years and years of my photos all my childrens pictures all the family memories with their father who passed i have wrote emailed called i cant get in touch with anyone. And where did all these pictures go? I cant believe this happened if anyone gets any sort of luck getting pics back please let me know...
I placed an order on 08/25/14 and even though, I paid for the photos and photo books, they were never delivered. Order status was "printing" for two weeks in a row. When I called customer service, I was "Caller #8" for an hour. I called everyday for a week; I was not able to get through. I sent countless emails; no replies. I'm very sad, frustrated and disappointed. I had place another order with another company.
I am not trying to rate, I just want answers on if our photos will be restored. If so, can an estimate of a date be provided? I foolishly relied on storing and organizing so many baby photos. Very sad user!
I ordered some posters for a charity event and they came out better than I expected. I have never used an online printing company before but will definately be using these guys again. The price was great and the quality was there. Ill be using them again. I recommend them. A
Has Winkflash gone out of business. I can't figure out how to place an order! I have placed order with them in the past, but the "place order" button is gone! I have emailed them several times, and no one is responding - almost two weeks now...
Lost about 15 years of photos. I had thousands. I tried to log in and I get a generic email response back saying that they are a new business and couldn't transfer all the photos to the new website. I googled and found others complaining and filing lawsuits... the photos for some of us cannot put a price on them. I had photos from my first child's birth and special occasions, etc... Family photos are priceless.
I have used Winkflash for many years, they always had great service. I have a number of photos in my order cart, with no way to order them, with no order link on my cart page. Reading all these reviews they must have had a lot of customers. I think the Winkflash business may have closed up shop. I have many, many folders on Winkflash, I guess I'd like a site to move them too if possible. If you have any suggestions on another site, please let me know.
I could just cry. I made a photo album of my first year of marriage and honeymoon. My husband and I never had extra money for me to to print it until now. I logged on to Winkflash only to find all of my priceless memories gone. I wish wish wish I could go back in time and never use Winkflash. Has anyone gotten any photos or projects back?
Winflash was awesome! Unfortunately, on Sept 8 2014 they posted on their website that they are out of business. No wonder I couldn't find a "place order" button when I was trying to order photos! Bummer...
Winkflash.com is my photo printing palace. They offer good prices and their turnaround is ushally really fast. I ordered almost 200 photos last week and I got them in under a week. I still can't believe it. And they look great too!
NEVER had any problems until this sudden closure occured. Does anyone have an idea of HOW to retrieve the photos off of the website? I have thousands. I have tried emailing customer service to no avail. I NEED to get these photos moved. Thanks for ANY help you can give! Not feeling very happy to be left high and dry after such a great experience for SO MANY YEARS!
Answer: I am astonished anyone would rely on a photo processing company to store their photos except for the purpose of printing them. You deleted them from your computer? When I download photos, I copy them to my wife's computer and two external hard drives, one of which is kept offsite. I do not trust "the cloud".
Answer: My suggestion would be to get your photo's out of Winkflash as quickly as possible. Why are you messing with that company? Why wouldn't you use a more reputable and trustworthy site such as Shutterfly? Haven't you read the reviews of Winkflash? Winkflash did not do right by many people who patronized their site for years when they chose not to tansfer years and years of stored photo's when new ownership took place. That was completely inexcusable for the previous owners as well as the new owners. The new owners should have secured all the photo servers when acquiring the company.
Answer: I also do not know the prior owners, but I've been told the window of time for the new owners to convert old images was very slim. I too am so very sad to lose them since 2004.
Winkflash has a rating of 2 stars from 59 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Winkflash most frequently mention customer service and photo books. Winkflash ranks 124th among Photo Printing sites.
