This is the biggest set of thieves imaginable! In app purchases took my hard earn money and provide no service. There is no way to give feedback nor contact them. Feedback in the app does not work, and they ignore my emails. When I try to cancel, their site instructs cancelation in the app, and again that does not work either. I had to endure these thieves taking monthly fees for nearly a year, without providing any service. I had to get my bank involved. I have also lost money on purchases for services I never received. These thieves also does not allow reviews in Google Play. That tells you that they have zero interest in improving their service or customer satisfaction. Run, don't walk, away from these thieves!
Sherlock can find his way around these sites to at least get a landline number - probably old and disconnected.
Used to be telephone utilities had to provide basic information about customers who paid for their services. I guess they paid lobbyists to go to work to get pols to make US pay for that information now: how to connect with people who pay to use cell phone services, landline services. Imagine lying about your product: yeh, I'm going to give you this information for free. Then when the page comes up, so does their bill. Sad. Really sad.
Whitepages steals information! They gave out my phone number, and the directions to my house! This site should not be giving out this information on the Internet to anyone,
Especially without consult/permission, anyone can search a random name and find out where you live! I found myself, and wasn't subscribed or associated with them, and they still gave me that information! Plus, they won't take down your information when you ask them to!
I ate here a few days ago with my family of four. We were immediately greeted and sat by our server Sky she was so professional and kind and really took the time to help create an evening that felt like home. She"s amazing with kids and was very relatable. I will most definitely be making this my new dine in spoys in hopes that our family will get to have her be our server each time. The restaurant was clean and peaceful and the food was hot and delicious and the chef really out did themselves. Best Burger in town and my wife was amazed with her everything omlet! Five stars all around!
I downloaded the Whitepages iPhone app. The app allows you to look up businesses and provides a phone number, but the person answering that number does not work for the business. They try to steer you to a competitor, sometimes saying that the company you are looking for is not taking new customers! Definite scam.
I repudiate White pages. They publish names, address, phone number, business and public records of individuals without their knowledge or consent.
Even after request is made to have the information removed from Whitepages records Whitepages ignores the request. And let the information remain putting individuals at high risk who need to keep their peronal information private and confidential. Hitepages must be sued soon in a class action lawsuit.
This website only had two things correct other than my first and last name and age they had my family members and my last five previous addresses other than that the information they had on me and the information they're giving out on me was false which is causing texts emails and phone calls loss of work and a overall Social Nightmare they would not allow me to take off my information and like to meet pay for it to be taken off whitepages.com with no response to emails I believe that this website is a is a scam for they say at the bottom of the page we did not verify or evaluate each piece of data and we make no warranties or guarantees about the accuracy of the information and our comprehensive reports
After searching through 63 names I found the right person with the right address and correct relatives so I paid $9.99 to get the report and it sent a totally different persons information! Not at all the correct... anything. All the information in the report was for a different person. Don't get ripped off. Whitepages.com is a total scam
You put in your information and go thru all the waiting for a free address search and when you come to the end they want your credit card information. What a scam. Stay away from this site if all you want to do is find out an address.
We have been using whitepages.com to help us make sure new customers are not actually old customers whose address has changed. Loved it for a long time, but am now looking for a better value and better service. Even though we are paying for a subscription to their pro service, they now only provide troubleshooting and help desk support to enterprise customers. So, no customer service despite being a paying customer. Also, since we are only allowed a set number of searches, I would use the free service if just needed a spelling for a name or to verify an address. Today they cut me off from the free service using my ip address as the identifier. Said I have to use pro because I am a business. Thats just weird. Really really weird. Use to feel like I was dealing with a business, now feel like Im dealing with an internet scam. Time to shop for a replacement...
White pages is a scam and by posting peoples private information they encourage scams being done on the public. They should be shut down by the states attorneys office. Companies like this are a scourge on the public.
There is absolutely no purpose in using this site as a phonebook or for an address search. Everything you click on brings you to their premium option which you must pay for. WASTE OF TIME. If I could give them zero stars it would be more accurate.
I spent $19.00 and was told a person had a new address. I went to check, and the address had not changed. Whitepages said if I needed more information I would have to spend another 20.00. Complete rip off with VERY little information.
I've been a white pages customer for over 15 years. They used to Great!
I mean beyond great! They used to tell you if an address was a vacant property etc. search for 10 phone numbers. 8 searches will say "no name associated with your search " " would you like to search as a business"? Wtf? ALL YOUR Competitors have answers to the same search white pages says " No name " " would you like to search again as a business ". Plus the app should be as good as the website. It's not! Customer service says the app is designed to be a quick lookup etc. well no one wants to get NOTHING as an answer on the appl just to have to Now go to the site to get any answers that white pages may have? Which I can already tell you is nothing I'm very disappointed
Before you read my review, please go ahead and search for yourself on whitepages.com. You might find your name, your address, your phone number, your approximate age AND a few possible relatives.
This alarmed me; I expected my name, address and my old phone number (the printed book usually has it)... but how would they know the names of my brothers and my sister?
I contacted a representative and she simply let me know that my name was removed, but it can still be avalible in other websites. I asked her how the site got my information but I received no clear answer.
I hope yellowpages will be sued. That is too much information and... I never signed a waiver/disclosure.
After numerous emails to them they have failed to remove my information. They will remove some but they only tell you that after repeated emails. They wont remove the rest because it is "from advertisers." So whitepages continues to make money AND not remove info. They are totally without morals.
I wanted to get the address of a person and I know that this person lived in Raleigh NC. I though that I would be getting a house number and street address. $9.99 got me Raleigh North Carolina ******* what good is that. Zero stars
Very disappointed. Update residential details does not work when logged in. State box only lets you enter 2 letters for state abbreviation(programming error) I also used firebug to modify webpages source to let me enter 3 letters however the website would still not accept state abbreviation.
I signed up to search one person's name for one month and they started charging me for every month. As I read the review, I discover that I am not the only person that this has happened to. This appears to be their M. O. of how they get their income.
I was going to have a job interview. It was at a person's house. I just wanted to check out the person to be safe. I went to WhitePages to get a background report. They looked up the person and I paid $12 and something. I never received the report. I created a help ticket. I got the run around. The report was there supposedly. Finally, I got an email several days later saying your report is ready. So, I logged in and clicked on the report. It took me to another pay part and wanted a membership fee. I was desperate for the report and had already spent over $12, so I agreed to pay another $5.99 membership fee. Again, the report showed nothing and wanted even more money. Now, they wanted $19.99 to look at the criminal records! I called customer service. They said because I looked at the report? (with nothing on it) that they would have to charge me a $3 and something fee and then they would refund me $8 and something. REALLY! They also gave me instruction on how to cancel my membership BUT what they show on the screen is no where to be found on the account page I have. What a nightmare! Never doing business with them again.
Answer: No. The brain dead knuckle dragging thieves who run that shithole of a site couldn't program their way out of a bag of dog-dookie. Idiots.
