If there was a minus on the overall ratings I'm sure there would be 100s of them the worst company ever to exist is whirlpool horrible customer service, my washer damaged my garage ceiling because every load water would come down like it was a river they did absolutely nothing about it. You guys should be ashamed! After 2 years back and forth nothing was done just time wasted!

We bought a stove a year and a half ago and of course the warranty ran out but the digital read out that tells you that the element is hot as a warning and then when you shut it off tells you that its still hot/warm wouldn't go out...it turns out this is a very common problem have to replace the element and switch...wow you spend that kind of money for a junk product don't buy Whirlpool products

Jan 03/23 we bought a new Whirlpool oven for over $1800. Apr 15/23 I was wiping out the oven after using the aqua clean and noticed a 3+ cm chip out of the side of the oven. I have only used this rack position once am not rough on equipment and it doesn't even align with the rack - not that a rack should be able to chip it anyway. Called our local store where we bought it. They came to look at it. The repair tech had to stay in our kitchen on hold with Whirlpool until they answered the phone. The tech was given a file number and told the 'customer' must contact Whirlpool. It's not a user friendly process at all and I'm not tech challenged. Whirlpool denied warranty. It's considered 'cosmetic' and they won't warranty 'cosmetic' after 30 days. A 3 month old very lightly used oven should not be chipping. How is this chipping 'cosmetic' and not defective material/workmanship? If you research, this is a very commonly reported consumer complaint. Guaranteed this will be rusting soon. Would Whirlpool employees or executives think this is acceptable if it were theirs? I doubt it. Chips and rust in your food anyone? Horribly policy to get around a known issue and even worse customer service. Robbery. DO NOT BUY IT!

Dishwasher broke, they book an apt under warranty, part is backordered with no end in sight. Its been two months and all they can say is we are sorry, there is nothing we can do. I asked how its possible to order the part off amazon and receive it the next day when they themselves can't seem to get the part for THEIR PRODUCT two months and counting? Sorry, we've done all we can do. Sorry, you'll just have to wait - do yourself a favor and don't purchase a Whirlpool appliance!

Have a refrigerator 3 years old and the motherboard went. Apparently warranty for that is only 1 year. That seems odd as it is the integral part of the fridge. Other more obscure items are covered for the first 5. Really disappointed.

Horrible company and appliances. We've had problems with our washer and dryer from day 1. They're around 2 years old, the warranty is up and now I must pay to continue to fix a product that hasn't worked properly from the start. Washer will get stuck and run for hours. The dryer will do the same, increasing time to the max mid-load, without anyone even touching the machine. Customer service is useless. I'll never buy another Whirlpool appliance again.

We purchased a dishwasher in April of 2022 and had it professionally installed in May 2022. With in a month the face plate bubbled and you could not connect to the buttons at all…. Dead and useless. So under warranty they tried to "fix" the machine. 5 times. For the same issues. 6 months with out the appliance we paid for …. I had to us3 lawyer language like " Time is of the essence". New dishwasher installed November 30,2022. March 6 2023…. Dishwasher died in the exact same light and song show that happened last May. When I went online the Bot that claimed to be a person named Pearl tried to charge me money on a credit card to "speak to the expert". Then said I was rude for saying no. That "chat" was over. I don't wan5 to spend another 8 weeks talking to whirlpool Canada representatives that live in Texas, Virginia, Alabama, Georgia,Florida and Colorado. (Nice whirlpool Canada). Please just refund our money and we will buy else where. Your customer service is brutal

I have all my appliances - Whirlpool. I would never ever buy anything from Whirlpool and never recommend them. Customer service is awful. No one responds, no one cares. It has been over a year that I have lost close to 400 dollars on food where my new fridge is freezing and breaking apart. I have been following up and this JC service is another contractor who does not care to find the parts. So frustrating and terrible.

Where do I start?

#1 Ordered product and took 3 months to receive which we had no issues with under the covid after effects BUT then seen the warranty starts at the purchase date. Was going to return it BUT on the chat line we were reassured that they would make it effective from date received. She took all the information and said she was going to register it. For some reason 11 days later decided to check on it and it was NOT registered! Re-registered it, no place for comments so put down the date received but now scared they will not honor that.

RECOMMEND: Make copy of chatline and verify within a couple of days that all is well.

#2 - In order to register the product we were forced to say we agreed to terms that we knew nothing about when we purchased the product otherwise you cannot register it! Cannot see where it would be different in the United States. FORCED to agree to terms found at:

Poor Quality, no service

The brandnew washer - WFW3090JW broke down in just half an year. Two weeks later, Technician did not showed up on appointment date, just a quick call that he was waiting for parts. There is never any follow-up call from technician, so we had to call services desk, only to found out the technician never ordered the new part! Service desk told us the part will be delivered in two or three days and they will informed us. One week passed, no call, so we called back, no one know where is the part! No tracking number... Not sure if it will be repaired before new year, or ever repaired!

Nothing but the run around

My brand new whirlpool dryer makes such a loud sqreaching sound that it is unusable - almost deafening. CAS has wiped their hands clean. They refused to have me even speak to a manager and gave me attitude. Whirlpool offered to send a different technician after the first one cancelled on me, but only contacted the same one who refused to do his job once again. He then contacted another technican from a different company (also outsourced by whirlpool) who was supposed to confirm the rescheduled appointment. No call, no text, no email. When I spoke to a manager from Whirlpool, all she could do was offer to send me $50 in the mail for the work day I missed and the other I will need to miss for the next appointment - if any technician is willing to do their job.

Clearly, there is no accountability on any part. Once they have your money, they could not care less.

They refused a video call appointment and to reimburse me for the work days I've had to miss.

Stear clear of Whirlpool and Canadian Appliance Source. Both are scamers!

Whirlpool customer services worst ever i experienced in Canada so far. It is really bad. Our less than a year old fridge is not working for over 2 months. 6 technician visits so far,,,yes it is 6 visits so far and 10 calls to customer care. Fridge is still not cooling... when u call customer care, they say "our hands are tied, you need to wait for next technician". I feel like there is not way out of it and I may need get a local paid technician or throw this whirlpool fridge. Pool quality and poor service.

Not a reliable brand

The new whirlpool side by side fridge/freezer I bought broke down after only one month of use.
The technician ghat came to fix it, made a long scratch along the fridge and when he couldn't fix it with touch up, he lied in the service mail that I declined the repair. What a scam!

They referred me to this number *******198 for further assistance. I put my phone on a redialing system because this line is always busy even in the middle of the night until next morning. After 36 hours of a non-stop busy signal, I finally removed my redialing system. They don't want to help you find a repair centre when you have an old Whirlpool product. Totally disappointed!

I am furious!

I bought a Whirlpool dishwasher in May 2022, it broke in June! It can't be fixed as the part is on back-order, with no expected date in sight (we are approaching August 2022 as I write). Whirlpool is unwilling to do anything other than tell me I just have to wait. I regret having wasted my money on this lousy product that only lasted 1 month. Shame on you, Whirlpool! I will never buy from Whirlpool again, and will make it my life's mission to spread the word about my terrible experience, with strong advice that this brand be avoided at all cost.

Absolutely do not recommend you buying whirlpool. My fridge is squealing, thumping, making horrid noises. Had a technician in but because he's not a whirlpool technician they need him to come back and talk to their technician on the phone before they will replace my fridge. If the fridge doesn't make the noises during his visit they won't do anything. It's a few months old and even with videos showing that it's coming from my fridge they are calling me a lier that it's normal noises. Worst customer service EVER! DO NOT BUY from WHIRLPOOL. They use to be top brand now they are a cheep product with horrific customer service!
