Whatever Works uses an unscrupulous tactic of signing you up for their VIP program when you place an order. In very small print the tell you that the program is free for 30 days. After that they keep charging your credit card a monthly fee because you didn't cancel the membership that you didn't even know that you had signed up for. When calling them about the charge they give you varying reasons why it is YOUR fault and why they can't refund you money.

I placed an order on Feb. 3 and paid for expedited shipping. #1, they didn't even ship my order for almost 7 days. #2 it wasn't expedited and has been in transit for more than 10 days. I paid $27 in shipping costs on a $150 order. It's now Feb 20 and the order hasn't arrived. Two times they gave me delivery dates that have now passed. I don't have the products to see if I even like them. NEVER EVER AGAIN will I order from this company.
Do not do business with this company. They engage in fraud. They charged an unauthorized fee to my credit card for eight months without my knowledge. When I eventually discovered it and complained they agreed to refund the charges. But subsequently they only revoked four of the charges and claimed my bank agreed to absorb the other four. My bank did not agree to this arrangement. AN OUTRIGHT LIE!

We placed an order by check. Two months later we received a letter saying they had turned down our check! This despite our having considerable money in the checking account and an excellent credit score. We checked with our bank - there was no trouble with the check. No one at WhateverWorks or at "Certegy" their check verifying company would give us any information. I don't know what their merchandise is like - but their business practices are appalling!
I bought a power washer nozzle in November. They advertise full Customer satisfaction. The nozzle did not work as expected. I have asked for a return FEDEX label 3 times, still waiting for 1!

I ordered an item a year ago. I pay my Discover online, just check my balance and pay. One day I was playing with the app and notice recurring charges on it for $16.98 every month, 13 months. I never authorized any such thing. My credit card company advised me to call Whatever Works and I disputed the charges. Still waiting. The charges are for some VIP program I never authorized.

My wife place an order on 2/24/20 for several items (total for order $130.91. Yesterday, 5/20/20, she attempted several times to call customer service. Each time, the recording asked for the order number then came back saying they couldn't understand it and referred her to customer service. Result: Placed on HOLD five times! (over an hour) Ridiculous! She never got to talk to anyone. I went on line today and found that the order is in the warehouse and is processing. 3 days shy of one month to process?
I ordered the only outdoor chair coveres that I could see and loved from all over the world from Whatever Works. $11.90 each ordered 2 to try out first before I ordered 12. Didn't notice the shipping to Australia totallying $102. I swallowed my pride after many emails back and forward and then to be told they couldn't verify my mastercard that I frequently order things from all over the world with no problems. All in all the chair covers looked lovely but the service has worn me down, so frustrating, and looking at the complaints section about this company, I agree, DON'T GO THERE.
After making a purchase in February, I was charged a bogus $14.95 in March. I questioned this and they said it was a membership fee. I demanded a refund and cancellation of the membership. No refund yet. Today in April, another charge of $16.00. I believe that they are crooks and I do not recommend that you buy from this company!
As a NEW customer I placed an order Dec 2,2021 for qty 4 of one product... Later, not hearing anything or getting a tracking # I emailed them Dec 11,2021. NOTHING. Dec 20 my package arrived... took 19 days! Bottom line is the product is thin and poorly made and will not do what it was intended to do. **** Today is Jan 7,2022 and I finally got a short note back about my Dec 11th inquiry - almost 1 month later! This company shouldn't be doing business in the US and as for me - I will NEVER order from them again. To top it off they charged me shipping, which their promo said would be FREE! Ordered lap tray's, material was very cheap, not put together good and for $73.24 they can keep them. If you return them, you pay $12.00 postage.
Fed-X through the box over the fence (box marked garment) and one of the tray's was broken on the corner where it landed and box broke open. Why it was packaged in a box marked garment, one will never know. The fed-x person thought it was probably clothing and wouldn't break

The 3 star rating above is for the Website, not the product. The product, the lights themselves, deserve less than 1 Star. They do not work AT ALL.

I want to warn everyone that this company is dishonest. They charged my credit card 14.95 for some silly VIP that I never signed up for or authorized. This was the text notification from my credit card company. They are hoping after you place an order with their company you won't notice their dishonest charge 6 months later. Very sneaky, and dishonest. When I called the company the customer service person sounded like a thug and was so rude and never apologized. They know exactly what they are doing. Very dishonest!

Purchased a metal garden hose that lasted 2 Months and then got a leak in it. They illegally sign you up using your credit card info for some stupid VIP club with out asking your permission.
I tried so many times to call and order some items for Christmas. Once I waited over 1 1/2 hours (I went and cooked dinner while the phone was on hold) and they still never answered. Sad but true.
If you have to wait that long to place an order, imagine what happens when you have a return or a question.
Nothing they have can't be bought somewhere else, which is just what I did.
Whatever Works and its parent company, Potpourri Group Inc (PGI) have a 100% guarantee which is totally worthless. Customer Service responds with "someone will get back to you within 48 hours" but never does. The phone number is never answered. Believe the almost 100% one-star rating.
Got a new catalog today and under the name it says, Garden Home Pest Control. Imagine my surprise when there were 2 full pages of sex toys. You are disgusting. Put that stuff in a catalog appropriately titled and send to customers that want that stuff. This is not appropriate for elderly customers. If I could I would give you a big fat ZERO

I ordered an item that came almost two months later. I was dissatisfied with the quality of the product and wanted to send it back. There wasn't a pre-paid label and I contacted customer service which recommended to ship it back at the cheapest price. Well, the cheapest price was higher than the product so I ended up being stuck with the product. They are also charging you a monthly fee that I needed to "unsubscribe" from. On 10/25/21 I attempted to order an item (robocall suppressor) from their website but it was down for several days. I used the mail ordering form in their catalog and waited. On 11/22/21 they cashed my check. I have yet to receive the order. A call to customer service was useless.
I have purchased many items from this company in the past, and satisfied. That all has changed. I purchased an Ionic Air Cleaner that does not work. In this Covid19 times, I've simply requested a prepaid UPS return shipping label. I won't have to enter any building with that label. That is all. I've contacted Customer Service five (5) times over 8 days, they have failed to respond even once. I do not wish for anyone else to be burned by this company. Do not purchase anything from them. The Boston BBB needs to investigate, perhaps the MA Attorney General's office too.
Why the two pages of sex toys? They don't belong in a "ordinary stuff" catalog. Don't you folk have any confidence in your regular products? Why would you include what is basically a nasty surprise in your catalog? It makes no sense. And believe me: this site won't let you complete the review with no stars; because of the inappropriate content of pages 52 and 53, I will not order from a dishonest company... not to mention the horrible customer service the great amount of negative reviews reveal.
