$$ One Big Scam $$
September 10, 2019

Haven't been playing this game for very long, and you don't have to figure out the ripoff. First let let me say that the game is put together well, great graphics and in game realism, I'll give them 2 stars for this.
However, in order to compete in the WGT world you must upgrade your equipment, apparel and enhancements. In order to do this you need in game credit. You can get these a couple different ways. Watch lots of add videos for 2 credits a piece, take surveys or buy them at 1 cent a piece. Well that doesn't sound bad,,, until you actually start looking at their prices. Top of the line Putter in WGT is the "Max CC Putter" and will cost you 400,000 credits, If your bad at math that's $4000 real American Dollars from your bank account for a virtual putter that does not really even exist! Now I for one don't really care how much it costs a company to develop a game, all I care about is how much it will cost me to play it. I wouldn't pay $400 for real 'hold in your hand" putter, let alone $4000 for one that isn't real at all. Problem is, for the cost of playing and being competitive in this game? I figure maybe a couple more days before I become bored and delete it,,, on second thought, maybe a couple of hours.

WGT is BS
July 27, 2021

I rate this game 1 start solely on its graphics. Not a game I would recommend to anyone. I play the game because I love golf and this is the best of the worst out there.

Very frustrating game. Fun to play but it is obviously a game intended to get you to pay for upgrades which is fine if you choose to do so. But it should be a choice not something that you have to do

The match rounds cost money and it constantly kicks you out saying you forfeited so you lose your money. Free rounds never kick you out.

You can be good, until you play someone that has spent money on the game, then all of a sudden your shot goes whirlybird so the money spender can win.

Stay off this site... you'll end up paying more than you would for a powerful gaming console, just to maintain the cost of their "virtual" golf balls and clubs. Don't bother!

Seems designed just to squeeze money from players. Balls are taken out of play for no apparent reason. In my opinion I got shorted at least one ball on two occasions.

A reprieve from WGT
September 10, 2016

Anyone who has had the misfortune of playing WGT and getting that awful feeling of violation. There is a reprieve. It's called Golf Star for Android by Com2us USA hosted by Hive (not sure if on iphone)(I use an android emulator on my laptop for anyone who only wishes to play on pc). This is the best game. No rip off tactics and you do not need to spend money to play at a high level. I am a lvl 43 and ranked Pro and I just now decided to buy a VIP membership (allows you to compete in certain events along with other extras) because I love the game so much. Although they have balls and other material that disappear after using them, they are extras and *YOU DO NOT NEED THEM* but of course will give you more distance/backspin etc. The best thing is you don't even need to spend real money to get them. Just play. The gave gives away a ton of free stuff (believe me you don't need them; although, I have not competed in a World Championship yet). You can find the game on Google Play Store. Thanks Come2us/Hive.

For anyone wondering, no I do not work for the company. I just for years wished someone would develop a good golf game that would put WGT to shame. Now it is year. :)

Lucky I did not spend a lot of money on WGT. A couple of weeks after I joined, I played in a tournament and placed 23rd. The description of the event stated that the top 70 players from each lvl would win a portion of the prize pool; however, after the tournament, I did not receive a reward. I asked why. The answer was, that the top 70 players from expert and above (I was amateur) would receive a piece of the prize pool. I took a screen shot of the tournament description and sent it to them. They responded with, "yeah, that was supposed to have been changed."

If it is a free site and I was eligible to participate in the tournament, then why wouldn't I receive a prize for placing in the top 70 and why would they want to change that rule? Well, because they want you to spend money on clubs and balls before hand so that if you win, they haven't given you anything anyway. Lucky only spent $10. I told them no prob, I would not be back and I was taking my friends with me. None of us have been back. That was a year ago.

Total Bull$#*!
April 8, 2015

Poor website, swing meter erratic, you buy slow meter balls, and after you hit them a few times they speed up, so, you cannot control, them, therefore you lose you balls in the brush or the wáter and you have to buy more.
You wite in the customer service, always get the same response, clear your cache memory, place your graphics on médium, do not play the game on full screen, minimize all other open programs including WGT sign on page. NOTING WORKS. They know they have problems. I have high speed internet with 54MPS connection and it still is so erratic it is unplayable.
These scumbags, need more powerful servers, and they need to address their software problems, WGT has been like this since they began, it has not improved at all.
Maybe a class action lawsuit would get thier $#*!ing attention.
I have benn playing for years, am a level 70 Master with a 66.75 stroke average, yet they will not advance me to the next level of TOUR Master even though my scores are lower than other Tour Masters.
The just want us to keep buying thier bull$#*! golf balls, which do not work as advertised due to the $#*!ed up swing meter.
The game is advertised as enjoyable, THIS is false advertising.
Sue the bastards.

Listen and save yourself time and money!
As you start your profile and begin to build your game you'll notice that in the "match play" You will be competing against money or as they call it "coin". You will start out as a "Hack" and move up to Amatuer then TourPro and then through to Master. Well when you "wager" your money, and of course they make you do this before you know who you are playing and what level they are (usually a Master""), your given choices to wager small amounts of money and large amounts of money. This money is used to better your golf game by purchasing with the money you win in match play. So as a "hacker" you may decide to play a $10k entry fee match (head to head) while winnings are "$18k". After you commit to this the computer will match you up against a "master". Of course "Master's" have the best equipment to shoot a under par round while you are scrambling to stay just 1 or 2 strokes above par. So customer/players like us are used to generate play while the fat cats just get fatter. Move on to a better app that is fair and balanced... PERIOD! Oh yes I have it a 2 because graphics are decent...

Unbelievable
November 20, 2019

I have never played video games before until I found wgt. For 10 months now I have been absolutely hooked on it with no signs of letting up, until today. WGT has made many changes to their app due to a small majority of players complaining. Recently they stopped you from chipping on the greens with backspin. A shot 90% of players use on a regular basis. I learned to move on from that but today was the ultimate. Wgt offers videos for a player to watch to earn credits. Credits are used to purchase equipment, play passes, anything and everything to play the game. I was so hooked I accumulated over 100,000 credits. I also became a owner of a club in the game. Without videos you can pay real money to buy credits. $100 for 11,000 credits. 11,000 is good for 1 or 2 clubs, a sleeve of balls that also run out after so many hits, and a few passes. I spend on average over 5000 credits a day on supplies for myself and for members of my club. Today wgt decided to limit credits earned to 150 per day. Those not famaliar with the game, 150 credits buys you nothing in this game. Overnight my hobby was turned into a money pit without even informing anyone it was going to happen. I will be leaving the game as soon as I spend my credits and will never play again. It's a awesome game with awesome graphics and the most addictive thing I've ever done. But none of that will ever make me spend a penny on this game because of the way it has been run. This was a major change last night but changes are constantly made in this game and as always, consumers and members are never told anything in advance. This game is nothing more to me now than a money hungry rip off. Good luck everyone and enjoy while you can. Dont worry though, wgt will find a way to run you off as well. Peace out!
