I Tried making a project using this software soon after it got stuck on loading and lost all of my progress stay away from this horrible app and look for better alternatives

I have tried the Free Version, the free trial for educators, and the Unlimited Plan. Of these three, the Unlimited is the most useful.
Free: Only get 5 minutes publish time and minimal options
Trial for Educators: Stamp in the upper right, and minimal options, not as easy to use
Unlimited Plan: This is the one that I ended up going with. No cap on publish time, reasonably priced, basic options, but worth the money for ease of use.

Right now, I use this program for editing virtual class meetings- taking the recording of the full meeting and splitting it up into individual lessons for assignments. I have found it easy to use, makes quality videos, and is connected to a variety of other platforms you can upload to (including Google Drive, which is where I can upload to the virtual classroom from).

I have also used this for personal use- a music video, a collaboration video with clips uploaded from my Google Drive, and educational videos. It has a variety of sound effects, text options, backgrounds, music tracks, and the ability to add various tracks to be able to stack the videos on, edit how small/big and location each track is on the screen.

You can create different projects to organize the kinds of videos you make to- I have my personal projects, classroom read alouds, and virtual lessons in their own projects. When I upload them to Google Drive, it sends them all into a specific WeVideo folder and I can move it from there to where I want it within my Drive.

There are a few downsides I've found, but aren't worth ditching the program for- some of the offered backgrounds/music tracks are only available through certain plans. So if you search for a certain background and use it, you may unknowingly end up without it in your final product because you haven't paid for that plan.

The other downside is it seems to take a while to process the videos (importing and exporting). But again, not worth avoiding it for.

I recived from PayPal bill for $95 automatic, and I used only one time and pay $95 and no authorized auto payment

Be careful! I bought a video editing package for granddaughter's school project in 2020, during Lockdown. I've just discovered that they have been taking money from my account every May for three years! Bank can reclaim this month's but not the previous two years. Watch out for this!

Annoying its so laggy and bad. It just crashes every single time i try to import media and is slow to do anything

Im working on a school project right now and i spent hours on it but whenever i go to upload it says "OUT OF UPLOAD TIME! OOPS!" like there are so many editing softwares for free but it lies about being free then puts a pay wall in your face, this is a horrible website and the items they give you aren't even that good either way, MS paint had better tools than this, pricing is also pretty bad, 10 dollars a month? Not cool man.

After my diligent payment for several months of their Paid Plan and many weeks spent on perfecting my videos, my business had to close temporarily due to COVID-19 lockdowns, as millions of other businesses were forced to do. WeVideo subsequently deleted ALL my videos and media because of my business inactivity, without warning, and now claims that there is no way to salvage my months of hard work! What a disgraceful way to treat customers during our planet's most challenging time in recent history.

I am very frustrated with this website. I worked long and hard on my video, feat. Kanye West- Homecoming, yet it cut me short telling me "Out of publish time!". The only way I can publish my video is by paying this company, while I could do the same thing at other websites for free! DO NOT RECOMMEND!

After few days of trying, I'm still dealing with lots of error messages like Not allowed when trying to record.

Yo, I got the flex plan only to realize I only have 20 minutes of publish time and 2 gb of vid storage. You would think you could delete a vid to free up space BUT NOPE. Stays the EXACT same. They say it's valid for a year but that just throws you off cause you can only post 20 vids IF THEY ARE ALL 1 MINUTE LONG. DONT PAY FOR THIS WEVIDEO SCAM BS. HELL U CANT EVEN DELETE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO. DONT GET BEWAREEEE!

This site claims to be free, but you can barely make $#*! without paying. And unlike Pixlr, they dont give a free lifetime plan on education accounts, THEY ARE THAT GREEDY THAT THEY WOULD TAKE MONEY OUT THE POCKETS OF SCHOOLS! And you have limited publishing time per week, and its 5 MINUTES! YOU CANT MAKE YOUTUBE VIDEOS WITH THAT! And even if you pay, THE VIDEOS PHOTOS MUSIC AND TEMPLATES SUCK. This is disgraceful AT BEST. Dont use, please.

WeVideo is just a pain. Can we just ban WeVideo? I hate hate HATE WeVideo. I'm trying to get a specific image and it just keeps on giving me nothing. JUST... WEVIDEO SUCKS!

We have been paying our monthly fee regularly. The card on file needed to be switched. I went to switch it and they shut my account down and are now trying to force us to pay annually which is stupid expensive. This is unfair. We cannot get our content off their site unless we pay almost $500. This is a scam site.

This website was okay. I feel that they should add more editing tools and an easy way to add real songs of your choice to the website. If they don't have an app, they should make one. Overall, it was a good video editing website.

Wevideo is a very bad website, mostly because you have to pay to get features which you can usually get for free on other websites. Also, I worked so hard on one video, only to know that I ran out of publish time, and I can not publish my video unless I pay the money. Wevideo is saying everything is free, and when we work so hard on one video, it says we have to pay for something. I hate this website and DO NOT USE IT

OMG! I've never seen any other pathetic video editing software other than WeVideo...Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! So slow...a newly pregnant woman would come to full-term by the time, the videos get processing after importing them. Aboslutely useless video editing app.

I selected the $9.99 monthly option hoping to just cancel shortly afterwards because I only needed to edit ONE video and then I'd never need wevideo again. I was charged for a full YEAR! $119 USD. I am in Australia. That is $185! Just to remove a watermark. I am FUMING!

IT IS SLOW, IT SAYS PREPARING YOUR PREVIEW WHEN U HAVE TO WAIT FOR 15 MINutes, it doesn't have good detail.

I was just going to use Wevideo to edit one video and I paid for the power premium so that I could get the video in better quality. It said, from the start, that the option cost 4 dollars a MONTH. So I thought I could pay the 4 dollars and then cancel my subscription after a month. So I finished the video then cancelled my subscription. Turns out they billed me for a whole year, 59 dollars I think. I did not even use the service for a whole day. And now I can't get my money back? Very dodgy, do not use this service.

Read the fine print and be very careful with this company as they advertise for $4.99 for a month and turn round to charge for a year making about $59.88. You have to create a log in account to try it out and the pricing change does not show up when you proceed to sign up for the membership. You having seen from their earlier pricing $4.99 won't recheck the price and will be caught with the bait and switch scam. They do not have a listed phone number and claim the charge is non refundable. How is it non refundable if you are not satisfied with their service? They are scamming people for a crappy service

I was not able to cancel my subscription on their web site, there was no functionality.
After much stress and time wasted I went via google play.

Slow, terrible functions, awful pricing. Go use LIghtworks. It is honestly insane how laggy it is while working. There are a lot of features missing that would make it a good software. No refunds either, that's how you know it's a scam!
