I would like Western Union to look into the script of third-party organization contracted by this organization requesting information from individuals that violates both the Western Union and Global Privacy Statement. It clearly states the type of information that may be required by the organization. The question asked by the authorize contracted agents are invading one's privacy and should be held liable. We are held hostage by your organization to answer question that is not relevant to identify fraud or in the scope of the privacy statement.
Question: In regard to privacy, why is Western Union invading individuals' privacy? There is a difference when it has to state, federal laws global and local privacy statements. There should be a class action against organizations that are indirectly forcing individuals to provide information beyond the scope required. The third party asked me how is the receipt related to me and it's not in accordance to the privacy terms and conditions or law?
Helping less privileged people is not the priority of this business. They just banned me from using their flatform after reviewing my transactions of claiming funds from my freinds abroad. Unbanked people needs help. Sick people needs help. Iliterate people needs help. People without ID needs help. People livinh Countryside needs help. I am offering help to the people but they just banned me.
If you ever buy a money order from Western Union and it's been stolen and cashed be prepared to jump thru hoops to get your back. Not only will you have to jump thru hoops you'll be $50 or more less richer, they not only will take a $15 fee if your money order is over $20 you'll have to pay for a photo copy of your money order which Is $15 once you see the money order has been forged you'll have to pay to have paperwork notorized. This makes absolutely no sense when they can see it's been forged then you'll have to wait another 90-120 days for them to make a decision, they almost go as far as if your the one who stole your own money order and your the criminal. I strongly believe Western Union wants you to give up and not pursue getting back your money otherwise why would they take a customer that purchased there product thru so much to get back money that's your's. Purchase there money orders at your own risk because if it's stolen be prepared to wait at least 3-4 months to get back your money.
I sent money to my wife in the Philippines and they lost the money! Many many calls later, they promised a full refund, it never happened. 22 days later, NO MONEY! Call after call, promise after promise still no money!

I wired money to Grenada money was not received I call WU who gave me the run around and insisted that I pick up the money in the Bronx two hours after sending it from Brooklyn which makes no sense why would I send it from Brooklyn then travel to the Bronx to pick it up two hours later costumer service refused to help all they did was give me the run around.BE AWARE OF SCAM AT WU
They are a lot better than they used to be. I was only charged $12 by the buyer and you get to pick up the cash instantly rather than waiting for a bank transfer.
My mom was trying sending me money on a day all banks were closed due to a federal holiday, leaving Western Union our only option when it came to transferring funds same day.
When she got to Safeway she paid all fees to have money sent over in "minutes", but three hours later we still hadn't received confirmation that it was sent. We called customer service and they told us it was placed "on hold" for fund verification; which was no problem. However, after six hours of still waiting after the original transaction, we made multiple phone calls to Western Union's customer service. After being on the phone for over an hour they finally told us the transaction was sent to their compliance department because of "fraud".
First off, it was completely out of line for western union to be accusing us of participating in a fraudulent transaction, but then a representative had the audacity to tell me to have her send more money. I found it hilarious that they would want her to send more money when they would most likely send it to compliance again for legitimately no reason.
Never ever ever again will I be using Western Union and I would most certainly never ever recommend this company to anyone.

This is embarrassing when you trying to send money to someone they put you on hold every time and once you call them they will tell you that you are block via system you cant use it anymore one of the worse rates I ever got its not just I cant use it but this unbelievable for no reason they block you and not even think once to inform you about it. I condom to use this app the policy is unbelievable.
Western union will not deliver your money on time and claim money in minutes. Try to call them they will put you on hold for half an hour and hang up on you. No response.
I've been use WU for many years. Use to be very good because I did not know anything better.
Now we have others companies that can offer same service for better rate and pay more for your dolar in your country. Also with better App better custom service much more actualized service. I switch for Ramitly they are give much better service then WU.
WU is way to spansive! And old fashion. Needs new APP. I have to drive to super market pay $11 to get my service. This is absolutly crayzy! Using Ramitly I pay $5.99 and use my cell phone. And they pay more for my dolar in my country.
Yesterday I transferred money internationally yesterday to be received in minutes like I've normally done but for some reason they reversed the money and cancelled my transaction. When I asked them what happened they claimed my bank declined which I knew was a lie but when I called my bank they said WU reversed the money for. Whatever reason and then I called them back and they finally admitted their system had a technical issue so they asked me to try making the transfer again later which I did and after it went through I received another email from them stating the money will be received in two days which was crazy and unheard of since I selected the minutes transfer transaction to Mpesa. I just spoke to their supervisor Chris who tried to tell me it's the receiver's fault. That the receiver's bank is delaying which again is a lie. This is not the first time I am sending money in minutes but it's the first time western Union has treated me like am an idiot and like I don't understand bull$#*! when I see it. This company I think wants to now sit on our money because it is going broke so it's making its Loyal customers suffer. Please look for other means to send your money because western Union is dying a slow death.

AVOID AVOID USING THEM! They rejected 3 payments that I was trying to send for only $200 and they just keep the money and getting the money back after they rejected is almost like going to hell, almost impossible unless you record them and you let them know that you are going to sue them, you will lose your money. I sent money twice last week and in both cases, they told me the money was ready for pick up but when the recipient went there they said the system showed they have reached their limit or on the other, they said the money showed it was already paid for, I ask for the money back on the second one and they still charge me the commission, the lady made a mistake and paid me the money and had the nerve to call me to ask me for it when No Service was provided at all other than waste my time... Their system made an error and created two transfers when I cancel the one that was their fault, they wouldn't refund the fee. VERY CHEAP attempt to make money and rep said, there is nothing they can do and it is unethical to me. WROST SERVICE EVER. I will never use their service again!
I initiated a transfer and my transfer was cancelled for no reason. On chatting I was given random answers and no answer to my question. I started typing in upper case and I was asked to call a number. On calling the hopeless AVR which kept on telling me it will disconnect the call as he was unable to understand whom I needed to speak to! The first human who answered told the compliance team cancelled the transaction and I will get my money back in 7 days!
When I asked the reason I was told I can initiate another transfer and call them whenever I initiate a transfer! I never had to do it over the years since I have been using WU, more than15 years I think.
When I tried to initiate a new transfer, the rate was too low and also an extra fee was added!
